00:00Today is the feast of the Immaculate Conception, Mary being preserved from sin by the grace of God, a reminder that God's power is bigger than anything.
00:26In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you. We acknowledge our sins, but more importantly the compassion, the mercy, and the love of God.
00:38Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and lead us into healing and life everlasting.
00:52Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of goodwill. We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you. We give you thanks for your great glory.
01:02Lord God, Heavenly King, O God Almighty Father, Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world.
01:15Lord, have mercy on us. You take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer. You are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us.
01:24For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in the glory of God the Father. Amen.
01:34Let us pray.
01:35O God, who by the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary prepared a worthy dwelling for your Son, grant we pray that as you preserved her from every stain by virtue of the death of your Son, which you foresaw, so through her intercession we too may be cleansed and admitted to your presence through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit God forever and ever.
02:03Amen.
02:05A reading from the book of Genesis.
02:10After Adam had eaten of the tree, the Lord God called to him.
02:14Where are you?
02:15He asked.
02:16I heard the sound of you in the garden, he replied.
02:19I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.
02:23Who told you that you were naked?
02:25He asked.
02:26Have you been eating of the tree I forbade you to eat?
02:29The man replied.
02:30It was the woman who you put with me.
02:33She gave me the fruit and I ate it.
02:36Then the Lord God said to the woman.
02:38What is this you have done?
02:40The woman replied.
02:41The serpent tempted me and I ate.
02:44Then the Lord God said to the serpent.
02:46Because you have done this, we are cursed beyond our cattle, all white beasts.
02:51We shall crawl on your belly and eat dust every day of your life.
02:56I will put your enemies, I will make you enemies of each other.
03:01You and the woman, your offspring and her offspring.
03:05It will crush your head and you will strike his heel.
03:08The man named his wife Eve because she was the mother of all those who live.
03:14The word of the Lord.
03:17Thanks be to God.
03:19Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous deeds.
03:24Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous deeds.
03:28Sing a new song to the Lord, for he has worked wonders.
03:32His right hand, his holy arm, have brought salvation.
03:36Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous deeds.
03:41The Lord has made known his salvation, has shown his justice to the nations.
03:46He has remembered his truth and love for the house of Israel.
03:51Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous deeds.
03:56All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
03:59Shout to the Lord all the earth, bring out your joy.
04:03Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous deeds.
04:08A reading from the letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians.
04:12Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
04:15who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings of heaven in Christ.
04:19Before the world was made, he chose us, chose us in Christ,
04:23to be holy and spotless, and to live through love in his presence.
04:28Determining that we should become his adopted sons and daughters through Jesus Christ,
04:34for his own kind purposes, to make us praise the glory of his grace,
04:39his free gift to us and the beloved.
04:41And it is in him that we are claimed as God's own, chosen from the beginning,
04:47under the predetermined plan of the one who guides all things as he decides by his own will.
04:54Chosen to be, for his greater glory, the people who put their hopes in Christ before he came.
05:02The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.
05:06Alleluia, Alleluia. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women. Alleluia.
05:16The Lord be with you. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke. Glory to you, O Lord.
05:23The angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth,
05:28to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph of the house of David.
05:33And the virgin's name was Mary. He went in and said to her,
05:37Rejoice, so highly favored. The Lord is with you.
05:41She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked him what this greeting could mean.
05:46But the angel said to her, Mary, do not be afraid. You've won God's favor.
05:51Listen, you are to conceive and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus.
05:58He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High.
06:02The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David.
06:05He will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and his reign will have no end.
06:10Mary said to the angel, But how can this come about since I am a virgin?
06:15The Holy Spirit will come upon you, the angel answered,
06:19And the power of the Most High will cover you with his shadow.
06:22And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God.
06:27Know this too. Your kinswoman Elizabeth has in her old age herself conceived a son,
06:34and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month.
06:38For nothing is impossible to God.
06:40I am the handmaid of the Lord, said Mary.
06:43Let what you have said to me be done.
06:45And the angel left her.
06:49The Gospel of the Lord.
06:51Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
06:55Mary was preserved from sin by the grace of God.
07:00She was saved by Christ like us.
07:03God anticipated that salvation and preserved her and protected her from sin.
07:09A reminder that we don't have to be slaves of sin.
07:12That God's power working in us can do so much more than we can dream or imagine.
07:18So in this time of Advent, we keep on allowing the Holy Spirit to convert us, to renew us, to refresh our hearts.
07:44I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
07:51who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
07:59He descended into hell.
08:01On the third day he rose again from the dead.
08:04He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty.
08:10From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
08:13I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
08:29Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for to your goodness we have this bread to offer, which earth has given human hands have made.
08:52It will become for us the bread of life.
08:55Blessed be God forever.
08:57Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for to your goodness we have this wine to offer, fruit of divine work of human hands.
09:04It will become our spiritual drink.
09:05Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation.
09:06Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for to your goodness we have this wine to offer, fruit of divine work of human hands.
09:20It will become our spiritual drink.
09:22Blessed be God forever.
09:24Amen.
09:35Let us pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God our Almighty Father.
09:42May the Lord accept this sacrifice at our hands.
09:45We praise the glory of God's name for our good and the good of God's Holy Church.
09:54Graciously accept the saving sacrifice which we offer you, O Lord, on the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
10:03and grant that as we profess her, on account of your preventative grace, to be untouched by any stain of sin,
10:17so through her intercession we may be delivered from all our faults, through Christ our Lord.
10:23Amen.
10:24The Lord be with you.
10:28Lift up your hearts.
10:31Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
10:35It is truly right and just our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere, to give you thanks, Lord Holy Father Almighty and eternal God.
10:44For you preserved the most blessed Virgin Mary from all stain of original sin,
10:49so that in her, endowed with the richfulness of your grace, you might prepare a worthy mother for your son,
10:57and signify the beginning of the church, his beautiful bride without spot or wrinkle.
11:04She, the most pure virgin, was to bring forth her son, the innocent lamb, who would wipe away our offenses,
11:12and place her above all others, to be for your people an advocate of grace and a model of holiness.
11:20And so, in company with the choirs of angels, we praise you, and with joy we proclaim,
11:26Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts, heaven and earth are full of your glory.
11:33Hosanna in the highest.
11:35Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
11:40Hosanna in the highest.
11:42Hosanna in the highest.
11:55You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.
11:58Make holy therefore these gifts, we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall,
12:03so that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
12:08At the time he was betrayed, and entered willingly into his passion,
12:13he took bread, and giving thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,
12:18Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body which will be given up for you.
12:24In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, and once more giving thanks,
12:37he gave it to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and drink from it,
12:42for this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
12:47which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
12:52Do this in memory of me.
13:02The mystery of faith.
13:04When we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim your death, O Lord, until you come again.
13:14Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection,
13:18we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
13:22giving thanks that you've held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
13:28Humbly we pray that, partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
13:32we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
13:35Remember, Lord, your Church, spread throughout the world and bring her to the fullness of charity,
13:41together with Leo our Pope, me, your unworthy servant, and all the clergy.
13:45Remember also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
13:51and all who have died in your mercy.
13:53Welcome them into the light of your face.
13:57Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
14:03blessed Joseph, her spouse, with the blessed Apostles,
14:07and all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages,
14:10we may, through your grace, merit to be coerced to eternal life,
14:14and may praise and glorify you through your Son, Jesus Christ.
14:19Through him and with him and in him, O God Almighty Father,
14:24in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
14:26all glory and honour is yours for ever and ever. Amen.
14:31At the Saviour's command, and born by divine teaching,
14:34we dare to say,
14:36Our Father, who art in heaven,
14:39hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come,
14:42thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
14:45Give us this day our daily bread,
14:47and forgive us our trespasses,
14:50as we forgive those who trespass against us,
14:53and lead us not into temptation,
14:55but deliver us from evil.
14:57Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil.
15:00Graciously grant peace in our days,
15:02that by the help of your mercy
15:04we may be always free from sin
15:06and safe from all distress,
15:08as we await the blessed hope
15:10and the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
15:13For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours,
15:16now and forever.
15:18Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles,
15:21Peace I leave you, my peace I give you.
15:23Look not on our sins,
15:25but on the faith of your Church,
15:27and graciously grant her peace and unity
15:29in accordance with your will,
15:31who live and reign forever and ever. Amen.
15:34The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
15:38Let us offer each other a sign of peace.
15:41Peace be with you all.
15:43Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
15:47Have mercy on us.
15:49Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
15:53Have mercy on us.
15:55Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world.
15:58Grant us peace.
16:00Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.
16:16Happy are those who are called to the supper of the Lamb.
16:19Lord, I am not worthy you should enter under my roof,
16:22but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.
16:26Amen.
16:28My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
16:33I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul.
16:37Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
16:41commonly, spiritually into my heart,
16:43I embrace you as if you were already there,
16:46and unite myself wholly to you.
16:49Never permit me to be separated from you.
16:52Amen.
16:53Let us pray.
16:58May the sacrament we have received, O Lord, O God,
17:02heal in us the wounds of that fault from which, in a singular way,
17:10you preserved Blessed Mary in her Immaculate Conception.
17:15Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
17:18The Lord be with you.
17:20May the peace and the blessing of the Father and of the Son
17:24and of the Holy Spirit come upon you and remain always with you.
