00:00First of all, this first verse tells you two important things about this book.
00:05First of all, it is the revelation, and the Greek word is apokalipsis,
00:10or apocalypse of Jesus Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach.
00:15The word actually means the revealing or the unveiling of Jesus Christ.
00:20So it's taking you a look at Jesus, and it's taking you a look at now Jesus
00:23as he is glorified in heaven.
00:25I remember John was the disciple who leant on Jesus' breast as he was at the Last Supper.
00:32So he saw Jesus as a man.
00:34He was intimately connected with Jesus during the time that he was on the earth.
00:40And yet now he sees him in a totally different dimension.
00:43But it's the same Jesus, now he sees him glorified in heaven.
00:46And he sees him as he really is.
00:50In a sense, when he was here on earth, he limited his glory.
00:52He became man and dwelt amongst us, but all the time he was the Son of God in his glory.
00:58And in revelation, we see him glorified in heaven as he really is.
