00:00Tell me what it was like to do this film.
00:02This is kind of one of your guys' first bigger projects, right?
00:04Mm-hmm.
00:05So what was it like?
00:06It was unreal.
00:07The coolest part about it was, yeah, I don't think I'd ever, I'd done some films but nothing
00:14of this magnitude and it was cool because by the end it felt like we were just one big
00:20family working towards this, you know, same goal and yeah, that was the coolest part for
00:25me.
00:26But when I was, you know, I always try to keep pretty moderate expectations about stuff
00:31so I didn't know, I didn't really understand the magnitude of the film while we were doing
00:35it and then recently as everything's been developing as we're doing all the press and premiere stuff
00:40it's crazy to see what Run the Race became.
00:43Mm-hmm.
00:44Right.
00:45And how hands-on was Tim?
00:46And what kind of like direction did he give you guys?
00:48Um, none.
00:49There was, it wasn't very hands-on.
00:50It was more Robbie Tebow.
00:52He was there every day with us.
00:54He became like our best friend on set in Alabama.
00:56He was the third Truett brother in the movie.
00:57He was the third Truett brother, yeah.
00:59Robbie's the man.
01:01And then we met Tim because Tim's just such a busy guy that we didn't see him much but
01:05we saw him towards the end and obviously today and we would just kind of hear through Robbie.
01:11Robbie was the conduit from Tim.
01:12He sure was.
01:13He sure was but uh, yeah.
01:16And that ending.
01:17Wow.
01:18Well, I don't know what you're talking about.
01:20You're telling me.
01:21Yeah.
01:22Um, what was, what was that like?
01:25And were you, did you see it coming?
01:27Um, I, I didn't, I did not see it coming when I read the script the first time.
01:31I was like, oh, uh, kind of, kind of left field but I-
01:35You gotta respect it.
01:36Selfish, selfishly as an actor I was happy about it.
01:39Mm-hmm.
01:40Why were you happy about it?
01:42You know I'm happy about it.
01:43I don't know.
01:44Yeah, it was, it was cool.
01:45The, it was like, it was um, very honest to life.
01:51When we, when I read it for the first time I was like, wow, this is like, this is real
01:56life.
01:57Like, they're not, they're not joking around.
01:58They're not sugarcoating.
01:59No pulling punches.
02:00Yeah.
02:01So that was, yeah, that was cool.
02:02Cool.
02:03And, uh, Frances is obviously a huge star in the film.
02:07Yeah.
02:08So does she give you guys any advice or words of wisdom on like, how to tackle a project
02:11like this?
02:12I think just being around her is, you know, obtaining wisdom enough.
02:16Seriously, there's, you don't need to, she doesn't really need to impart, you know,
02:20impart, go out of her way to impart wisdom.
02:22She just is constantly just her, how she is around set, how she is as a person is just
02:27so incredible to be around.
02:30Yeah, she really leads by example.
02:32Mm-hmm.
02:33And what's next for you guys?
02:35A few things coming up, huh?
02:37Yeah, do you wanna go?
02:38Well, I had a, I had a film called Indivisible that came out at the end of last year.
02:41Uh, worked with, uh, Darren who worked on, on, on Run the Race.
02:46Uh, filming a season two of a show next month.
02:49Up in Toronto.
02:51I do, I just got done, um, shooting a show called Dwight and Shining Armor that's gonna
02:55premiere, uh, March 18th.
02:57I play a prince.
02:58Are you Dwight?
02:59I'm not, I'm a, I'm the prince, dude.
03:01Oh.
03:02The, I'm not a prince, I'm the prince.
03:03Okay, cool.
03:04Um, and then gonna be on, uh, Lethal Weapon on the 12th.
03:07If you guys wanna watch me, I don't know.
03:08Alright.
03:09Whatever, if you want to, I don't care.
03:10No.
03:11Um, because it was a football movie and the Tebow brothers were involved, like, did you
03:15kind of feel like extra added pressure?
03:17Like, did you go to them for any advice or tips or pointers?
03:20Well, Robbie was very critical of my, uh, throwing motion as the quarterback.
03:24Yeah.
03:25Um, borderline hurtful at times.
03:28Yeah.
03:29But, but overall, yeah, he was really helpful with that.
03:33I think the pressure came from knowing, getting to know Jake McIntyre, the writer of Run the
03:38Race, getting to know him so well, you realize what this film meant to him and his family.
03:44And, um, I think that didn't add pressure, it just really set the bar for us, you know,
03:50and, and, and we gave it all we had because of that.
03:54Very good.
