00:00Project Gidget is an organization I started in 2014 in memory of my dog Gidget.
00:07Our goal is just to make sure that shelter animals are warm, comfortable, and loved while they're waiting for their forever homes.
00:14All the items are just donated from the community. I also do pet sitting to raise money to buy the items that aren't normally donated.
00:24We have helped with dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, snakes, horses.
00:33So this year I received the Youth Pride of Laverne award for the city for all the different outreach activities that I've done.
00:40I'm competing for my dog Gidget and any animal that needs to be cared for, I want to show other people that are my age that they can do something positive to help in the community in some way.
00:53I want to show them how they can help me in some way.
