00:08According to Los Angeles Sheriff's Department records made public on Monday,
00:1232-year-old Nick Reiner was arrested on Sunday night at 9.15 p.m. local time
00:17and was booked into custody at 5.04 a.m. on Monday.
00:20His charge level is listed as felony, with bail set at $4 million.
00:24This news comes after iconic filmmaker Rob Reiner, age 78, and his wife Michelle, age 70,
00:30were found dead in their L.A. home, reportedly stabbed to death.
00:33There reportedly was no sign of forced entry.
00:36The Reiner's son, Nick, was early on reported as a suspect.
00:39He battled drug addiction and homelessness, had more than a dozen stints in rehab,
00:43and co-wrote a film loosely based on his life, 2015's Being Charlie, that was directed by his father.
00:48Rob Reiner's 20-plus directing credits include 1984's This Is Spinal Tap,
00:531987's The Princess Bride, 1989's When Harry Met Sally, 1990's Misery, 1992's A Few Good Men,
01:01and 2007's The Bucket List, just to name a few.
01:04On television, Reiner starred in the groundbreaking CBS sitcom All in the Family,
01:09which ran from 1971 to 1979.
01:12Reiner's other numerous acting roles over the years included projects like 2013's The Wolf of Wall Street
01:17and the 2020 Netflix series Hollywood.
01:19Reiner was also a co-founder of Castle Rock Entertainment,
01:21the production company behind such films as City Slickers and Miss Congeniality,
01:26as well as Seinfeld, one of the most lucrative television properties of all time.
