00:00Talk to me about this film and why you guys wanted to be a part of it.
00:04Well, okay, ready? Rochambeau, who goes first?
00:06Rochambeau.
00:09I got a call from Chris Dowling, who's the director of a film we did called Where Hope Grows,
00:13and there was an actor who was supposed to play my part.
00:15He fell out, and it was about three or four days before they went to the camera.
00:19He called me up and said, hey, will you join me in this adventure?
00:23And I read the script. It was wonderful.
00:25I found out who was already involved, and between you and the Tebos,
00:29and I was like, this is going to be a pretty cool thing.
00:32And then, of course, the message of the film was just so encouraging and beautiful.
00:36Who wouldn't want to be a part of it?
00:38And for you?
00:39Jake McIntyre and I were doing a film in 2012 in Texas,
00:44and he said he had written a script and he wanted to figure out how to make it.
00:48I said, well, I don't know how to help you do that,
00:51but he sent me a sizzle reel, and I saw that, and I was like, this is a really good story.
00:57So I just encouraged him, kind of like Louise, I guess, you know?
01:03Yeah.
01:03Just said, you know, you'll find your way.
01:06And sure enough, four years later, he called me up and said,
01:09the Tebos are financing this movie.
01:13Yeah, we got some money, Mama.
01:14We got some money. Let's go.
01:17So we all ended up in Birmingham, Alabama in 2016, and here we are today.
01:24Wow. And were you guys both familiar with the Tebow brothers?
01:28And were you, like, your executive producers?
01:30They thought you were athletes? Like, talk to me a little about that.
01:32You were familiar. I had no idea.
01:35Tebow, you know, when I don't have a boyfriend, I don't know from sports at all.
01:41Earlier you called athletes actors.
01:43Did I?
01:44Yeah, you were like, you know, an actor. Not an actor, but a sports person.
01:47I was like, an athlete.
01:48I have a dog at home named Tebow.
01:53So my son, his role model and his childhood hero,
01:57all the way back from when Tebow was playing for Florida, in fact,
02:01and we watched when Tebow pulled the magic that he pulled in Denver.
02:05We were right there watching along with him.
02:06So we've been fans for a long time.
02:09And so when I got the job, my kid was ecstatic.
02:12He's like, wait, do you think I'll get to meet him?
02:14I get it.
02:14Yeah, but, yeah, and he did.
02:17Wow.
02:17So you read up on him.
02:18How did he do as an EP?
02:20Great, obviously.
02:21I don't think he was ever on the set when I was there.
02:25Robbie was.
02:25His brother, Robbie.
02:26His brother, Robbie, was.
02:27Crushed it, yeah.
02:28His brother, Robbie, was hands-on day-to-day.
02:31Yeah, yeah.
02:32Good, you know, it's managing.
02:35How much did you feel like your characters portrayed,
02:39like, how relatable did you feel like you could be to those characters?
02:42Well, I am like my character.
02:43Yeah.
02:45So it was easy for me.
02:46I just showed up.
02:47Me on my best day, I'm like my character,
02:50but there's a lot of other.
02:52Because we all have everything in us, right?
02:55We all have all these aspects of all these characters in this movie.
03:01I was thinking about how sprinkled about there are little messages that the kids get,
03:08and if you're open to hearing the messages from the universe, it can guide you on your way,
03:15and I think that's what Michael T., his character is about, and Mario Van Peebles.
03:23He's a positive force.
03:25You know, Louise, my character is.
03:28And then there's me.
03:30And then there's you.
03:32But you redeem yourself.
03:33Son of a bitch.
03:35You do.
03:36He does.
03:36He gets redeemed.
03:37And you're also now a grandma.
03:40Congratulations.
03:41How is that for you?
03:42Oh, my gosh.
03:43It's the best thing in the world.
03:45I just, I cannot wait to go back over there, you know, and I have to see pictures every day,
03:52because every day as a baby, you know, it just changes, and he's just delicious.
03:58A little cheeky, you want to eat the cheeks?
03:59You're like, oh, gosh.
04:00That neck.
04:02Do you have a nickname, or are you grandma?
04:05Well, he's not talking now, so, but he is going, gah, gah.
04:10See, he's saying grandma.
04:12Gah, gah.
04:14He does.
04:15Is it surreal for you as a mom to see your daughter as a mom?
04:19I'm just happy to see that she's embraced motherhood the way she has.
04:25She and her partner are really, really great parents.
04:29Very good.
