00:00Joe Burrow, you may have heard at a press conference earlier this week,
00:03talking about how he's not having fun anymore.
00:05Quote, if I want to keep doing this, I have to have fun doing this.
00:09I've been through a lot.
00:10If it's not fun, then what am I doing it for?
00:13My first reaction to that when I heard him say it,
00:15you know what, let me just play it for you first,
00:17so you hear it out of his own words, so I'm not paraphrasing here.
00:20Here's Joe Burrow earlier this week. Go ahead.
00:22If I want to keep doing this, I have to have fun doing it.
00:25But, you know, I've been through a lot,
00:29and if it's not fun, then what am I doing it for?
00:32I'll just stop it there. Answer the money.
00:35That's what you're doing it for.
00:36You got the wealthiest contract in the history of football when you signed it.
00:40Yep.
00:40You have over $200 million guaranteed coming your way
00:43to play quarterback in the NFL.
00:45If that's not fun, I don't know what is.
00:49Now, I'm sure you're frustrated.
00:50You know, the Cincinnati Bengals got to a Super Bowl
00:53and have done a bad job putting better players around you
00:56or to protect you on the offensive line.
00:58The defense has stunk throughout your career there.
01:00So I understand why it's frustrating,
01:02and I understand that losing sucks.
01:04But to be fair, you've also been an absentee quarterback
01:08for a good portion of your career.
01:10How many games has he missed thus far in year six?
01:13I think 21 games.
01:14Yeah, you've missed a season and a half of football
01:17in five and a half years.
01:19So you also have to take some accountability for the fact
01:22that not your fault, but you have suffered a lot of injuries
01:25that have precluded you from playing football.
01:28Right.
01:28They're a better team when he plays, and he doesn't play often enough.
01:34He's a top three quarterback when he plays, but that is the problem.
01:38You know the old cliche, what's the greatest ability of all?
01:40Availability, right?
01:41So this is not a referendum on his ability.
01:44He's a badass quarterback.
01:45But when I first saw this, because I went through an evolution
01:48on this, okay?
01:49Okay.
01:49My first thought was, screw you, Joe Burrow.
01:52Like, what are you complaining about?
01:54You're dating a hot, thin model, right?
01:58Everyone adores you.
02:00You've been to a Super Bowl.
02:02You've got $200 million guaranteed coming in.
02:05You bought the freaking Batmobile.
02:08Life is pretty good, I would think, if you're Joe Burrow.
02:11But wah, I'm not having fun.
02:14And wah, if I'm not having fun, then what am I doing this for?
02:19You're doing it because you got $200 million guaranteed.
02:23You bought the Batmobile, and you're dating a hot, thin model.
02:26That's what you're doing it for.
02:28The thin part keeps coming up.
02:30Yeah.
02:30Yeah, because, you know, SI now thinks, you know, there's a place for fat moms, too.
02:35Oh, all right.
02:36Which is another story.
02:36I should have brought it up.
02:37So I wanted to make the point.
02:38I'm good.
02:38He dates the thin ones.
02:39I like, we love all the women on this program.
02:42Yes, we do.
02:43We like all the women.
02:43We don't fat shame at all, except in Victoria's Secret, we don't need fat girls.
02:47That's a good story.
02:48We don't have that.
02:48All right, here's the deal.
02:49So my first reaction was, screw you.
02:52Like, you're living this gilded life that the rest of us would dream to live, and you're
02:57not happy?
02:58Oh.
02:59And I wanted to attack because I'm like, you know, talk about a guy completely out of
03:03touch with the common man, or like the hardworking blue-collar Bengal fan that spends all of his
03:08paycheck to watch you play football, and it means something to him, and I was just going
03:12to attack, attack, attack.
03:14But because my brain has evolved at a level that most aren't.
03:19Most aren't.
03:20It's like, yeah, a thin model, right to that.
03:22Right.
03:22Like, my brain is at just a higher level of evolution than most people's brains.
03:29You know, most people just attack Joe Burrow.
03:31You're completely out of touch.
03:32Screw you.
03:33If you don't like it, give the money back.
03:35You know, I hear that.
03:36I got voices in my head that want to go in that direction as well.
03:39But you're not going to.
03:40I'm not going to do that.
03:41Okay.
03:42Because my evolved brain now sees this as an opportunity.
03:47Oh.
03:47What Joe Burrow is saying without saying it, because remember, he wanted to go to Cincinnati,
03:53Ohio kid, all that stuff, right?
03:56And he's been great with that.
03:58I'm good.
03:59What Joe Burrow really meant when you heard those quotes earlier this week was, I'm done
04:05being a Bengal.
04:06Ooh.
04:07That it's not fun being the quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals.
04:12So.
04:12Yeah.
04:13Okay.
04:14Yeah.
04:14So.
04:15I'm good.
04:15I'm good.
04:17I'm good.
04:30So.
