00:00So the first thing that came out, according to NFL Insiders, is that the NFL has apparently
00:06instructed the officials for this week, I guess for the rest of the season also, they
00:12play the Rams, by the way, which should be a great game off of last year's playoff game.
00:15Yeah, 1 o'clock Sunday.
00:16Which another 30 seconds on the clock, maybe the Rams even beat Philly at the Lynx.
00:19So this should be a great game, one of the biggest games of the week.
00:22But they've told the officials, apparently, that they need to really be on top of any
00:29potential offsides.
00:32You see, there's the treat right there.
00:34Any potential offsides from Philadelphia.
00:38And they sent it to all the teams, too, in addition to the officials.
00:41To me, that's hogwash to me.
00:43I agree.
00:44Because if you have an issue with the tush push, you have the ability to get rid of it
00:49this past offseason, and the owners voted it in.
00:52They did not outlaw it.
00:54They could have.
00:54So when you reach out and you tell all the teams in the league and the officials that
00:59we're going to be much more stringent and pay closer attention, well, that's not fair
01:05to the Philadelphia Eagles.
01:06Not at all.
01:07The fact that the officials clearly missed a couple of false starts, and they did.
01:11No one's even disputing it.
01:13The Eagles are telling you, yeah, not our fault.
01:16They also missed the Chiefs lining up in the neutral zone.
01:19That hasn't come up all week except from you.
01:21Except you.
01:21No one else is talking about the fact that they could have thrown a flag against Kansas
01:25City there and given the Eagles a first down.
01:28So from that standpoint, what's interesting is that we always sit here and say, all of
01:32us, collectively, no matter who you root for, we don't want the officials to determine the
01:37outcome of a game.
01:39That is a universal thought.
01:41We've all said it.
01:42We've all been victimized by it as fans.
01:44But we all steadfastly agree, let the players decide the outcome of games.
01:50Absolutely.
01:50And let's do something egregious where you have no choice.
01:52You've got to throw the flag.
01:53Fair?
01:53Right.
01:54So what's funny is that everyone's like, yeah, that's right, NFL.
01:58You've got to stop the Eagles.
02:00You have to over-officiate.
02:02But we've always said less officiating, not more officiating.
02:07Right.
02:07And what's not fair about it is that the Eagles do it.
02:12Every team has tried it.
02:14Very few teams have the level of success that Philly has, whatever the reason is.
02:19The squats, the ass, the thighs, the offensive line.
02:22Whatever it is.
02:23I don't care why.
02:24They've come up with a play that's legal, and they do it better than anybody at a plus
02:2990% rate.
02:31Nobody can stop it.
02:33So now we've got to do what?
02:34We didn't outlaw it.
02:35We had a chance to.
02:36So now we're going to tell Philadelphia, hey, listen, if you run the tush push, I guarantee
02:42this, by the way, they are telling Philly right now, and all Eagles fans, and for this
02:47week, Rams fans, I guess, that we are going to throw a flag on the tush push.
02:52Yeah.
02:53And that's a de facto way of outlawing it.
02:56And I guarantee you, I'll be shocked if I'm wrong, that if the Eagles are in a position
03:03this week to run the tush push, whether it's once, twice, or seven times, I will guarantee
03:08you that a flag is thrown.
03:10Absolutely.
03:11Because the NFL owners said, no, no, it was close vote, by the way, but we're not going
03:16to outlaw it.
03:17The NFL is going to outlaw it without actually outlawing it by penalizing Philadelphia.
03:23And typically, when they run it, it's in a big spot.
03:27Because it's either third and one or fourth and one, and it keeps the drive alive, which
03:32is significant.
03:33I hope I'm wrong.
03:34I know I'm not going to be wrong.
03:36But we have to stop this nonsense of, they do it better than anyone else, so we have to
03:42help other teams out.
03:45And the fact that you would reach out to the other teams and the officials and tell the
03:50officials, they meet with the league every week, the officials do.
03:53And you're now telling the officials, pay closer attention to how the Eagles line up or how they
04:01snap the ball and where they are.
04:03It's just, it's not right.
04:05It's not.
04:05And look, I can't stand Philly, but it's not right.
