00:00One of the big sleeper teams entering the NFL season to get to the Super Bowl are the Cincinnati Bengals, such a strong finish to their season last year.
00:07A lot of bad luck, let's be honest, in the first half of their season a year ago.
00:12But their schedule this season hasn't really done them many favors.
00:15In fact, once again, they're traveling to Baltimore at night on Thursday night.
00:20Simply put, they make the Bengals play the Ravens a lot on the road during the week and at night.
00:25And so Joe Burrow, at one of his offseason media availabilities yesterday, decided it was time to talk about how he feels the schedule makers have it out for the Bengals, sending them back to Baltimore.
00:38You know, playing in Baltimore for the fourth straight primetime year isn't ideal.
00:45Maybe we could get one of those in Cincinnati next year, please.
00:51Maybe an international game next year, too.
00:54You know, I think, you know, part of the reason I wanted to do the quarterback show, I wanted to help grow the game internationally.
01:02And so to not have a stage like that is a little disappointing.
01:08Because I feel like I've consciously worked hard to try to grow the game internationally over the last 18 months or so.
01:18So hopefully at some point in my career, we can go over there.
01:22It seems like if the NFL comes knocking on Joe Burrow's door for a favor, I'm not sure he's going to answer that door.
01:30All right.
01:31Now let's get to the Philadelphia Eagles.
01:32As I said today, we'll find out whether or not the tush push will still exist.
01:36The leader of that, the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, is Jalen Hurts.
01:40Of course, they have some new staff right now on the offense.
01:44And Hurts commented on the extension for their head coach, Nick Sirianni, and how the offense potentially could look this upcoming season.
01:51First and foremost, congratulations to him.
01:54Everything that he's been able to achieve and accomplish, he's earned.
01:59And just to see his evolution and his growth from my perspective in playing quarterback for him, his whole entire tenure here.
02:07It's been a great experience.
02:09It's been a great ride.
02:10It's been a lot of learning for the both of us.
02:12And hopefully we're just getting started.
02:16With Kevin Petullo, a little bit different because he's been here.
02:21So how has that transition working out the early stages of it?
02:27Coach Petullo is, he's been here throughout the journey as well.
02:31He's had a different position.
02:33Always played a pivotal role in what we've done.
02:36And I think he's got a great mentality and a great approach coming into everything right now.
02:41And so the bigger picture is just taking it a day at a time, truly.
02:45Keeping it maintained and maintained.
02:47And I think that's where we are.
02:49Everyone's in a good place.
02:51Everyone's focused.
02:52And everyone cares about their duties and what they're supposed to do.
02:56There's a new head coach also in Dallas.
02:59Another hand-picked one by the owner, Jerry Jones.
03:02In case you missed the last few months of the NFL offseason, their new head coach is Brian Schottenheimer.
03:07Yes, a little anonymous, let's be honest, going into the next NFL season.
03:12But maybe that's a good thing.
03:13Maybe a high-profile coach doesn't work for Dallas.
03:16Jimmy Johnson, Bill Parcells, Mike McCarthy.
03:19Schottenheimer may not have the cachet of some others, but potentially Schottenheimer talks about helping out the culture of the team moving forward.
03:27We want Dak to play quarterback to the best of his ability.
03:33He's a great culture piece because he's such a good dude, you know, and he's such a great teammate.
03:39And his story is incredible.
03:40But when you talk about culture, it's more than just one guy.
03:45And that's what I think I'm so excited about with all the new pieces that we've added.
03:49And it probably sounds coach-speak, but it's really not.
03:52We've added all these new pieces.
03:53So it's our job as a coaching staff to get these guys to hang out together outside of the building, spend time together in the building, get to know each other.
04:03Coaches get with their players, go to dinner, do things together.
04:06Because we have to learn each other's stories and each other's scars so that we can truly learn how to work together and love one another and support one another.
04:17We're all going to have good days and bad days.
04:19And that's not just something we talk about.
04:22It's something we do.
04:23You know, I take a lot of these guys to dinner.
04:26Why?
04:27Okay?
04:27It's important to me.
04:28Do I have things I could be doing?
04:29Of course I do.
04:30But there's nothing more important than me getting to know some of these players.
