Former Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley is not at all happy with the collapse of the case involving the 2019 double murders of his friends John Mills and Eulyn John, off Shirvan Road in Buccoo ,Tobago. Elizabeth Williams has the story.

00:00According to an express report, two men charged with the 2019 killings of the Tobago couple have been freed after the prosecution failed to present any evidence during a scheduled sufficiency hearing.
00:16And we are back at the location where the unfortunate incident occurred back in 2019. We also spoke to a friend and former Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley, on the situation.
00:31I'm saying that when situations end up like this, proceed like this, it is an incentive to the criminal element to proceed without caution.
00:42TV6 News revisited the scene where the couple was murdered. A woman who works in the area told TV6 News she remained in disbelief at the turn of events in the matter.
00:54When I see the news there and it comes to my phone, because my mother will tell you, I didn't feel good about it. That is not right.
01:02She is tonight calling for justice in the case.
01:05So you're calling for justice in the matter?
01:07Of course. Of course. Coming from my mother, I am telling you.
01:12On Monday, Master Margaret Sukraj Groswamy discharged Nicholas Davis and Antonio McEatney, who had been before the court on two murder charges arising from the deaths of John Mills, 69, and Yulin John, 61, of Buku.
01:29The couple was found stabbed to death at their home on May 2, 2019.
01:36Three days later, Davis and McEatney were arrested.
