00:00Al Pacino is now the latest A-list actor to make the leap into the world of streaming series.
00:05The Oscar and Emmy winner is nearing a deal to join an Amazon drama called The Hunt
00:10from Jordan Peele's Monkey Pop Productions and Sonar Entertainment.
00:13It would mark Pacino's first series regular role ever.
00:17Created by David Weil, The Hunt follows a band of Nazi hunters in New York City circa 1977.
00:22The deal is not yet signed, but when it goes through, Pacino will join previously cast
00:27Logan Lerman in the series, which has a 10-episode order from Amazon.
00:31Lerman plays a young man whose grandmother is murdered and becomes swept up in the hunt organization
00:37as he tries to find the perpetrator. Pacino will play a veteran Nazi hunter who mentors Lerman's character.
00:42Pacino's only prior credit in an ongoing series was his very first, a guest spot on NYPD in 1968.
