00:00Hey guys, welcome to nominees night from this nominated succession. How does that feel?

00:06It's great. We love our show.

00:08Yeah, it's pretty wild.

00:11Yeah, it's a blast to be nominated because I feel like we sort of just arrived.

00:17So, yeah, to be nominated is a bit of a thrill.

00:21It's a thrill and, you know, I've been asking a lot of people for their favorite performances and favorite shows

00:26and it's succession, succession, succession and individual actors.

00:31You know, you guys have been mentioned in my office, outside of my office.

00:34You know, are you keeping up with the chatter online on Twitter?

00:38Do you guys pay attention to the fever around the show?

00:43I get sent some things sometimes that are pretty funny.

00:47I try not to go on Twitter just because it's overwhelming.

00:50Like, I did earlier in the season and I was like, this is crazy that you can make something

00:56and then every second or seven seconds, like, somebody's talking about it.

01:01And so I was sort of like, I've got to step away from this.

01:04But it's funny when people send, like, good memes and things.

01:06We've got to talk about you.

01:08The layers and complexity of your performance in the course of one scene is remarkable.

01:13If I had an Emmy, I'd give it to you now.

01:15I'm not a member of the Academy, but I'm not.

01:17So talk to me about Siobhan's journey and how you, where you go to find the rollercoaster of a journey.

01:25Did you see I just did it, too?

01:27Um, I don't know.

01:28I, a lot of, I mean, the people that we work with are so fucking good.

01:33Like, Brian.

01:34I mean, the opening scene in the first episode with Brian is just like,

01:37you just listen to him and watch what he's doing and then respond accordingly.

01:42I don't know.

01:42We're very lucky in the way that we shoot.

01:44We shoot, like, three cameras and cover one side, cover the other side.

01:48And so it all feels very real.

01:49Like, you're acting all the time.

01:50There's no sort of, like, formal setups where you sort of start wide and push in or go the other way.

01:55And so it all feels like you just get to act as if you're doing a scene rehearsal and try a new thing and try a new thing.

02:02And then they edit it together and make you look good, I think.

02:04I know that there's a lot of people in that room that want to meet you guys.

02:10That must feel good.

02:12But I'm sure there's some other actors out there whose work you admire.

02:15Is there anybody in particular you want to meet this weekend?

02:17Fellow nominated shows, nominees?

02:20I mean, I'm pretty excited that we're coming to the HBO party.

02:22Because there's a lot of people there that I think are amazing.

02:28I don't know.

02:28Bill Hader, I think, is pretty damn cool.

02:32Julie Louis-Dreyfus, like, you know, all the Veep cast, they're fucking awesome.

02:36And it's also a special year.

02:38Obviously, those two shows have said goodbye.

02:41Everyone loves to talk about the series finale and whether a show has nailed it or not.

02:47Yeah.

02:47Do you know what?

02:48I dropped off at season two.

02:50So I've been like, I don't know anything.

02:52Don't give me any spoilers.

02:54I've been like saving it.

02:55I've been really good at avoiding all pop culture for the last eight years.
