00:00Summer is here and in Bachelor Nation, that means it's time for a trip to paradise.
00:04ABC has announced the first wave of Bachelor and Bachelorette cast members who will be
00:09returning for the spin-off series Bachelor in Paradise on August 7th.
00:12Leading the cast are a slew of women from Ari Leyendijk Jr.'s recent dramatic season of The Bachelor,
00:18including fan favorite Tia, season villain Crystal, taxidermy enthusiast Kendall,
00:24first Impression Rose recipient Chelsea, the cut-too-soon Bibiana, Annalise aka the one who had
00:30a dramatic childhood bumper car experience and Nisha.
00:34The men joining them are several recent cast-offs from Becca Kufrin's current season of The Bachelorette,
00:39and it looks like David the chicken and Jordan the model will face off once again in paradise.
00:45John, who was also eliminated on Monday's episode, will appear on the spin-off as well,
00:49along with tracksuit guy Nick and the fan favorite who was surprisingly cut night one, grocery store Joe.
00:55Other cast members include Kevin of Bachelor Winter Games, Eric and Kenny from Rachel Lindsay's season
01:01of The Bachelorette, and Astrid and Angela from Nick Viall's season of The Bachelor.
01:06Wells Adams will return as the show's bartender and be joined by Bachelor Winter Games breakout star Yuki.
01:12The newest batch of Mexico-bound singles could also include more women and men from both Ari's and Becca's seasons,
01:19as more contestants looking for love will be announced at a later date.
01:22Previous cycles of the reality dating competition have resulted in two marriages and three engagements,
01:28including recently reunited and now engaged Paradise pair Ashley and Jared.
01:33Their engagement will play out on camera on the upcoming season.
01:36The return of the summer spin-off series follows a controversial 2017 cycle,
01:41when production on Paradise was halted over a sexual misconduct investigation.
01:46A female contestant, later identified to be Corinne Olympios, accused male co-star DeMario Jackson
01:51of misconduct only days into filming. An internal investigation by show producers Warner Bros. TV
01:56later found that no misconduct took place, but the controversy was addressed during the season.
02:02New rules surrounding consent and alcohol were put into place as a result.
