00:00I'm Tom Morris, Jr., and this is Fugitives Caught on Taste.
00:26This guy has no regard for anybody else in the road.
00:30First up, we're in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where local PD and county deputy
00:59are in pursuit of a man driving an allegedly stolen truck.
01:04Earlier, police in nearby Pleasant Prairie got a hit from a plot camera
01:08about a truck that had been reported stolen in Illinois the day before.
01:14Officers soon located the vehicle at a gas station convenience store.
01:18But when they approached, the suspect fled, and a high-speed chase ensued.
01:23Coming up to Green Bay Road, shortly, need a 75.
01:27It's a whiteboard truck.
01:30We're about 9K right now.
01:32Now, as the chase continues, deputy Samantha Wells takes first position behind the suspect
01:38as officer Daniel Morehouse, who's further up the road, pulls onto the shoulder to set up spike strips.
01:45But a steady flow of traffic on the interstate makes it too dangerous
02:00for the officer to throw the spikes onto the road.
02:03Sergeant Sean Flahive arrives to assist, stopping traffic and clearing the road
02:12for Officer Morehouse to deploy the strips.
02:15Stop, stop, stop.
02:24Go ahead.
02:27Despite the positive hit, the suspect drives on as multiple law enforcement agencies continue
02:47the pursuit.
02:48Get him, Sean.
02:50The officers work together to box the suspect in as the effects of the spike strips begin
02:56to kick in and the truck's tires start to disintegrate.
03:00Yeah, I'm a flathead.
03:01I'm going to drive it on him.
03:03Copy, we're flathead.
03:05Sergeant Flahive then forces the fugitive into a concrete barrier.
03:11Okay, you just hit us.
03:12You just hit us.
03:18All right, we got him pinned in, pinned in, pinned in.
03:20Soon after, the chase comes to an end, and officers quickly exit their vehicles with
03:27guns drawn.
03:28Hit, hit, hit, hit, hit!
03:32But the suspect isn't ready to give up just yet.
03:35Put on the gas, guys.
03:36Put on the gas, he's boxed in, though.
03:41Petey, he's just hitting the gas.
03:43He's totally boxed in.
03:44Yeah, he's totally boxed in, so I'm on the gas.
03:47Stop, carry your car!
03:48Turn it off!
03:49When the suspect still doesn't comply, Sergeant Flahive moves to the passenger side of the
03:54truck, smashes the window, and after folding it down, works on extracting him.
04:00The sergeant also notices that the fugitive is not alone.
04:08Show me your f***ing ass!
04:10Start crawling.
04:11Your dog can stay there.
04:12Let's go.
04:13Give me your hand and get the f*** out.
04:16You're not dragging me out.
04:17Get out!
04:18Get the f*** out of the car!
04:20Let's go!
04:21Get the f*** out!
04:22You're getting three seconds before you're tamed.
04:23I'm dragging your ass out.
04:24Let's go!
04:25Get out!
04:26Get out!
04:26Get out!
04:27Keep that out of here.
04:28Get the f*** out!
04:28Get the f*** out!
04:30Blame out of the f***ing door!
04:32Calm down.
04:33Crawl out.
04:35Calm down.
04:36Crawl out.
04:36Come on.
04:36I'm sorry.
04:37I'm trying.
04:38There you go.
04:39I'm going to go out!
04:40You're under arrest!
04:43As these officers cuff the suspect, others make sure the dog gets out of the truck without
04:49being hurt.
04:50I got dog.
04:50I got dog.
04:50I got dog.
04:51Watch out.
04:52Watch out.
04:52Watch out.
04:52Watch out.
04:52Watch out.
04:53Watch out.
04:53You got him?
04:54Hey, you're good, bud.
04:55You're good.
04:57We got him out.
04:59He's now in custody.
05:00Vehicle is clear.
05:02The suspect was ID'd as 56-year-old John Scott Miller.
05:08Lead back.
05:09He's got my arm over here.
05:10I can't.
05:11F***, man.
05:12Any weapons, Tanya?
05:13Nope.
05:13One knife in my pocket.
05:15I got the knife.
05:16You got him?
05:16I got him.
05:17I got two knives, yeah.
05:19Probably should have stopped.
05:21Don't worry.
05:22I'm f***ing.
05:23Yeah, you are f***ing.
05:25We got lucky.
05:26I'm lucky.
05:26Yeah, you are.
05:28Miller was arrested and hit with several charges, including driving or operating a vehicle without
05:33consent, resisting or obstructing an officer, fleeing, eluding, and recklessly
05:38endangering safety.
05:40He pled not guilty to the charges and is being held on a $150,000 bond.
05:47His case is pending.
05:49Miller's dog was brought to the local Humane Society.
05:52Sorry, baby boy.
05:54It's okay, buddy.
05:57Next, we're in Marion County, Florida, where a sheriff's deputy is in pursuit of a suspect
06:04who rammed into him, took off, and is now driving dangerously on local roads.
06:10Earlier, Deputy Michael Stringer was on patrol when he reported this car with tinted windows
06:17and an obscured license plate.
06:19The deputy turned around and attempted a traffic stop, and the driver seemed to comply, pulling
06:26into a parking spot in an apartment complex.
06:28But when the deputy pulled in after him, the driver suddenly attempted to flee.
06:35They're ramming my patrol car.
06:36Start me a car.
06:37Fairway circle and silver pass.
06:39I got someone ramming my patrol car.
06:41Get out the car!
06:42Give me your hands!
06:43Show me your hands!
06:44Get out the car!
06:45Show me your hands right now!
06:48Sheriff's office!
06:48Despite the deputy's commands, the suspect continued hitting his cruiser in an attempt to get out
06:55of the tight spot.
06:56Get out the car!
06:58Get out the car!
07:00Stop, or I will shoot you!
07:02Get out the car!
07:03The suspect managed to pull out of the spot before other officers arrived, backed into a
07:09tree, then took off.
07:14The deputy Stringer followed.
07:166403, man, they just tried to ram me.
07:21He just went through a fence.
07:24He's headed out the Silver Road.
07:27Now, the suspect drives recklessly on busy local streets, sending his car airborne when
07:33he crosses this intersection.
07:35He's driving pretty carelessly.
07:37I don't know if I'm going to continue.
07:40Continue.
07:40As the chase continues, Deputy Stringer moves in for a pit maneuver.
07:50But he misses.
07:52So he tries again.
07:54Despite spinning out, the suspect manages to keep going.
08:05As Deputy Stringer follows and accidentally runs over this mailbox, another deputy joins the chase.
08:11The suspect then drives into a backyard, where he runs out of road and flees on foot.
08:22Get on the ground, or I'm going to chase you!
08:25Get on the ground!
08:26Get on the ground!
08:27As deputies chase the fugitive through multiple backyards, Stringer calls in a description.
08:34He's running through the wood vine.
08:35This is your subject description.
08:37Black male, white beanie hat, gray shorts, black shirt, camo pants.
08:43Get on the ground!
08:44There's a canine over there waiting on you!
08:46Soon after, deputies catch up.
08:48After cupping the suspect, deputies surge him and place him in a patrol car.
09:15Get in that car!
09:17You're not getting nothing.
09:18No, I'm asking.
09:19You're not getting nothing.
09:20Get in the car.
09:21Two other deputies on scene inspect the suspect's vehicle.
09:26And what they find inside shocks them.
09:3363, do you not get a signal 44 in the car?
09:40Hey, baby, are you okay?
09:42Come here, sweetheart.
09:44You're okay.
09:46You're okay, baby.
09:47You gotta be kidding me.
09:51As the baby is taken to safety, Deputy Stringer returns to the scene.
09:56Is that baby okay?
09:58Was that in the car?
10:00Yeah.
10:00Oh, my God.
10:01While deputies care for the baby, a woman emerges from the home where the suspect abandoned his car.
10:08What's going on?
10:10Car chase.
10:11Everything's all right.
10:12It's you, it's my niece.
10:14My niece, my niece.
10:15That's your niece?
10:15My niece.
10:16Oh, my God.
10:18Where, hey, where's her mom?
10:21Um, she's on the way back.
10:23She's actually coming from work.
10:24It might be, please.
10:25Yeah, we're going to have medics check her out.
10:26Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's fine.
10:28That's fine.
10:28Can I hold up, please?
10:29Please?
10:30Deputies hand the child over to her aunt, and soon the baby's mother, who's also the suspect's wife, arrives on scene.
10:38After mother and child are reunited, deputies return to the suspect's vehicle.
10:47What's that look like?
10:48I'm not going to.
10:52Yeah, it's definitely connected to a gun.
10:54Drugs and guns, drugs and guns.
10:56The search of the vehicle yields 23 grams of marijuana and a .380 caliber Ruger semi-automatic pistol.
11:03The suspect, now ID'd as 24-year-old Jordan Skeen, apologizes from the back of the cruiser.
11:10I'm going to tell you sorry like a man and everything else.
11:13So you're going to feel like a man of or being, like, disrespectful or anything to you.
11:20I'm sorry for what I did to you.
11:22I'm sorry for hating you.
11:24And I hope you accept my apology.
11:26I appreciate you.
11:28All right, I'm going to slide this door so you don't get away.
11:30I got to do a little bit more, and we're going to get on the way, okay?
11:32All right.
11:34Skeen, who was on probation for fleeing, eluding, and obstructing resisting an officer convictions,
11:40was hit with seven new charges, including cruelty toward child, resisting or obstructing an officer
11:47without violence, and drug and gun possession.
11:50He pled not guilty, and his case is pending.
11:54As a result of violating his probation, Skeen's status in that case is also under review.
11:59And as for his one-year-old child, she was medically cleared, having suffered no injuries during the incident.
12:07Next, we're in Findlay, Ohio, where local PD are in pursuit of a suspect who just robbed a store and then fled from police.
12:18Earlier, dispatch received a report of a theft at a sporting goods store.
12:24A female just walked out of the store with multiple bags of items, wearing a light gray coat, silver Honda Accord, trying to get in the direction of travel.
12:34Officer Chance Collins was the first to arrive at the store, where an employee billed him in on what happened.
12:41The employee, who'd followed the suspect out into the parking lot, showed Officer Collins a video she'd shot on her phone.
13:01I just saw you walk out of my store with two ball bags filled with stuff.
13:06She said, that's not my stuff.
13:08After the officer got the suspect's license plate from the video, he called it in.
13:13And now, after dispatch broadcast the info,
13:17Comes back to an Angelica DeLeo out of Toledo, silver Honda four-door.
13:21It doesn't take long before Officer Aaron Fleckner spots the suspect's car.
13:27There's one behind me right now. We're just coming up to Maine in 99.
13:30Yeah, this is it.
13:38I don't think she's going to stop. Headquarters, we're westbound.
13:43Driver, stop your car. You and the Honda, stop your car.
13:47No, pull over and stop. Right now.
13:50Yeah, she's not pulling over. We're coming up to 75 now.
13:54We are northbound 75. Speeds are 90 right now.
13:59As the pursuit continues, the driver of a vehicle not involved in the chase suddenly decides to get involved.
14:09Yeah, I got a car trying to play police and not let them through.
14:12A random motorist dangerously attempts to cut the suspect off, then bumps into the vehicle.
14:20I just caused a 31 with them. Random. They kept going.
14:26The motorist, who police were never able to track down, pulls to the side of the road.
14:32Perrysburg Township has this suit on 2nd in line.
14:35Soon, additional officers from Perrysburg, Rossford, and the Ohio State Police join the chase.
14:44Ticket 201A. 201A, call it. Let's go with car.
14:48The fugitive exits the highway and makes this left turn, but then runs out of luck.
14:57You just took a pit. Pit on.
14:59Rossford Sergeant Brandon Lewis performs a successful pit maneuver, and the suspect's car comes to a stop.
15:10Officers approach with guns drawn.
15:14As the driver gets out of the car with her hands up, clutching her phone.
15:19Stealing from dicks.
15:30Oh, I took a bargain.
15:32We're out of any worries.
15:34No.
15:35Who knows in custody? We're at 75 in the road.
15:41Woo!
15:41We get a felony.
15:46We go to prison now for stealing some clothes.
15:49That's stupid.
15:51Guess what?
15:51That's all the stuff she stole.
15:54Stupid.
15:55As officers continue searching her vehicle, the suspect, 30-year-old Angelica DeLeo, acts out in the backseat of the cruiser.
16:08Bitch.
16:10You ain't but a bitch with a badge.
16:12Bitch.
16:14All of y'all.
16:14Good work.
16:15Good work, officer.
16:17Good work.
16:18F***ing dumbasses for a f***ing purse.
16:21Y'all slow as f***ing.
16:23Did all that s*** for a purse, and it just f***ed my car up.
16:26DeLeo was arrested and charged with theft and failure to comply.
16:31She was released on a $25,000 bond with several conditions, including that she not leave the state of Ohio and not consume or possess illegal drugs.
16:41She pled guilty to both charges, and her sentence is pending.
16:47Next, we're in White Settlement, Texas, where officers are in foot pursuit of a fugitive wanted for auto theft.
16:56Stop!
16:57Earlier, Corporal John Porter and rookie officer Samuel Brown were on patrol in separate cruisers when they both responded to reports of a stolen red car.
17:08When they spotted the vehicle pulling into an auto shop, both officers made U-turns.
17:15But as they pulled in, the suspect took off on foot.
17:21Now, Porter and Brown exit their cruisers and chase after the suspect, who runs into an open field.
17:31He's gotten a good head start, but Officer Brown is right on his heels as the suspect exits the field into a residential neighborhood.
17:40Meanwhile, the Texas heat seems to have taken its toll on Corporal Porter, who stops running, leaving the rookie officer in solo pursuit of the suspect.
17:56Westbound Gibbs, Westbound Gibbs, my foot.
17:59As he catches his breath, a local driver pulls up to offer the corporal some citizen assistance.
18:07Yeah.
18:08Porter quickly climbs into the Good Samaritan's vehicle and starts giving him directions.
18:14Go, go, go, right. I appreciate it.
18:16That's okay. I'm just going to try to keep fucking blocking your car.
18:20Go, go, right.
18:22Right.
18:23Are you ready?
18:24Right.
18:24Corp. Porter arrives to find Officer Brown detaining the suspect, who tripped and fallen, and then gave up after Brown threatened to tase him.
18:35I had a good taxi. Don't mind me.
18:37Porter helps Brown take the suspect into custody.
18:40We got him.
18:4462. He's in custody.
18:48Roll over.
18:49Oh, dang it.
18:51For Officer Brown, who was born with one arm, this is his first foot chase.
18:59The officers frisk the suspect and find two driver's licenses and two debit cards belonging to other people.
19:07When they're finished, Porter tells Brown about his ride assist.
19:11Here he comes by.
19:12You need a ride?
19:13Yes, yes.
19:13No one offered me a ride.
19:15The suspect, 31-year-old Joshua Brown, received medical aid at the scene and was taken to a local hospital where he was medically cleared and then transported to jail.
19:27He was charged with evading arrest, unauthorized use of a vehicle, theft of property greater than $2,500 but less than $30,000, and other charges.
19:37As part of a deal with the prosecution, Brown pled guilty to all charges and was sentenced to six months in state jail.
19:46The stolen vehicle was returned to its owner, and the Good Samaritan, Jimmy Davis, a former security guard, received thanks and praise for his assist with the local police department.
19:57Thanks for watching Fugitives caught on tape.
20:01I'm Tom Morris, Jr. We'll see you next time.
