00:00What inspired me to make this short was, you know, endless times standing at a crosswalk
00:05sign.
00:06And every time I do, especially the times where there's just no traffic coming in either
00:09direction and I'm still just standing there and I wait and I wait and I wait, I picture
00:13my ancestors, like maybe those that came across the daunting Atlantic on a boat to check into
00:19Ellis Island.
00:20And I just picture them looking at me and saying, like, dude, what are you doing?
00:24Like, you're waiting for a sign to tell you to cross the street when you can see you can
00:27do it.
00:28And I just somehow feel ashamed.
00:31Like, look, it's just so annoying and red and it's just sitting here telling me not to do
00:37things.
00:38I was actually fortunate enough to be able to do the 2D intro myself and animate it myself.
00:45People should not start running out into traffic.
00:47This is not an endorsement to just break the rules and run through the middle of the street.
00:52But I hope that people look at this piece and see it as the metaphor that it is.
00:57Thanks for coming to watch the short and I really hope you enjoy it.
