00:00Hi, I'm Terry Mays, director of The Race.
00:03The title of The Race is a metaphor not only for the race that they're in,
00:07but it's also a metaphor for the race of life.
00:09The Race, even though it's, you know, stars death,
00:12it's really a story about life, about what's important, you know, in life.
00:18I'm actually one of the heads of a department here,
00:21and I thought that I had a pretty good grasp of what everybody does,
00:25but it wasn't until I did this project
00:27and I actually got to sit with the various artists in all the departments
00:31and see what it is that they do and the creative choices that they make
00:34and the ideas that they bring.
00:36That was just an immense, immense reward to going through this experience.
00:41My father once told me when I was younger, he said,
00:44Look, son, when I'm on my deathbed, I don't think I'm going to look back and say,
00:48Wow, I wish I would have spent another day at the office.
00:51And that's really at the heart of this.
00:53It's about making your life worthwhile, you know,
00:55and choosing the things that are enriching,
00:58especially as you are in the end and you look back.
01:01It's about making your life worthwhile, you know,
01:03and choosing the things that you are in the end and you look back.
01:05It's about making your life worthwhile, you know,
01:06and choosing the things that you are in the end and you look back.
01:08This is about making your life worthwhile.
