00:00I really don't have words.
00:03I'm really just trying to wrap my head around it all.
00:06Hey, Mom.
00:07Bechner, I would like to have, like, a sleepover,
00:09like a hangout with you.
00:11I'm surprised that Bechner requested to have a sleepover with me
00:14because, like me, he suffers from anxiety.
00:17Hola, como estas? Muy bien, YouTube? Muy bien.
00:21How you doing, man?
00:22Good. You guys want to stay on a sleepover?
00:25You excited where you're having your wedding at?
00:27We got no idea.
00:29Well, there's always an open option.
00:32The backyard.
00:34I know exactly who put Bechner after this.
00:37Thank you, Alan.
00:39I don't really know how to say it, but I do have anxiety, yeah.
00:44What are you anxious about?
00:46Like... Everything?
00:47Yeah.
00:48Do you care if I talk to you for a second?
00:50Yeah, no, that's fine.
00:52Bechner expressed to me his anxiety.
00:54Yeah.
00:55It's a really big issue.
00:59I was talking to Bechner last night, and he opened up to me about his anxieties and some of the OCD traits that I see.
01:22Yeah.
01:23It's a really big issue.
01:25I see a lot of myself in Bechner.
01:29And from my own journey and from my own standpoint, I do worry a little bit that Bechner could develop OCD.
01:35And without help, you're just swimming in your own thoughts all day.
01:40Like...
01:41I mean, I think he's...
01:42He's definitely aware of it.
01:43Yeah, and I'm aware of it.
01:44We're aware of it, too.
01:45Okay.
01:46Balen approaching me about Bechner kind of implies, at first, like maybe I didn't know what was going on with him.
01:56But this is not the first conversation that we've ever had where she has concern about a sibling.
02:02This is just who Balen is.
02:03Like, she has such a level of deep love for her siblings, not just Bechner.
02:09He does a really good job of hiding it and putting on his big, tough Bechner act.
02:14Bechner doesn't hold back much with being open about his thoughts and his feelings.
02:19We just take it day by day.
02:21If we found out that Tourette's was already in the family and OCD already ran in the family...
02:26Yeah.
02:27...then we would be able to, like, as parents, have that, like, awareness before, like, the kid.
02:32Does that make any type of sense?
02:33Totally makes sense.
02:34That's why generational diagnoses mean so much.
02:37Mm-hmm.
02:38But Bechner doesn't have a diagnosis, so that means he can't get treatment for it.
02:42We have been tackling these family generational disorders for years that have genetic components to them.
02:49You know, the tics and the Tourette and the OCD.
02:52But these are abstract conditions.
02:55This isn't you go in for an MRI, they tell you what's wrong, and they come up with a fix.
03:00There is not a recipe of knowing when you need medical help.
03:05Could he get to the point where maybe he needs some sort of interventional therapy?
03:09No, but it's about the diagnosis.
03:11Because if Bechner found out all of these things now, and he was able to treat them now instead of at 15 years old...
03:18I'm not medicating an 11-year-old. I'm not.
03:21It's not about medication.
03:23Yeah.
03:24But for him to get treated for it, he needs the diagnosis.
03:27I mean, obviously, my eyes are open to it, right? You know what I mean?
03:32I don't know. Bechner is such a good kid.
03:36With my own medical journey and the pain and the hurt that I went through, I turned it into passion.
03:44And it's helped me be 100% more aware of other people and their emotions.
03:54I just want my babies.
03:55I think that she's taken those pieces of struggle and transformed them into power.
04:04And her ability to see the lost, broken, hurt parts of other people, because that's who she was.
04:11I'm really glad that you brought that up.
04:14I think it's just important to keep the conversation alive.
04:18You're always trying to stay ahead of the game.
04:20Because when you let things go, like I feel like we let things go a little bit with Balen, then you're backpedaling.
04:26And it's not fair to them.
04:28But with that being said, I feel like we've gotten a little bit better at it.
04:31So my gut tells me that I will know when it's time to seek more help for Bechner if needed.
04:48Why are you stacking them?
04:49I'm going to start out here with one board and screw it down.
04:51Hey, dude.
04:52What's up?
04:53Bechner, you want to help me?
04:54What is this?
04:55Why is one higher than the other?
04:57This is a registration location for Balen's wedding.
05:00Al's always ahead of himself on projects.
05:03No, I have plans.
05:04Are you channeling the field of dreams?
05:06Oh my gosh.
05:07I am building the field of dreams.
05:08If I do build it, maybe they will show up.
05:10Maybe it will happen.
05:12I'm lost.
05:13Yeah, we're all lost.
05:14Bechner, did you talk to Balen for me?
05:15Yeah.
05:16I feel like I did a pretty good job.
05:18Of convincing her?
05:19Yeah.
05:20What?
05:21Yeah.
05:22I almost feel like it's kind of low of Al to use Bechner as like this vessel to creep in
05:29and like push forward with the backyard venue.
05:33I'm not working.
05:34That's a brilliant idea.
05:35I'm not working.
05:36And if anybody Bechner knows what's going on, he's smarter than the majority of us.
05:41I'm still waiting on my payment.
05:42You're good.
05:43You're good.
05:44It's in the mail.
05:45Done.
05:46Look at that.
05:47You want me to take it from here?
05:49Yeah.
05:50I'm going to go play games.
05:52Wow.
05:53Thanks for the help, buddy.
05:55Good luck on...
05:56I don't even know what that is.
05:58Here.
05:59Did you really tell him to put in a good stinking word about the backyard?
06:04Yeah, I did.
06:06I wanted Bechner to kind of give me an idea.
06:08Have they found a place?
06:09Have they not?
06:10I don't know.
06:11It's dark.
06:12We have no idea how many people.
06:15We have no idea about timeframe.
06:18Like what month?
06:19Or did we pick today?
06:20I mean, I know it's their thing, but hopefully she incorporates Sammy and me.
06:27Since Balaam got engaged nine months ago, I'm aware of almost no plans.
06:31The doors have not been opened for me yet.
06:34I'd love even like some pictures when they're like checking out these places like, hey mom,
06:39this is where we're at.
06:40Oh, I don't know.
06:42I'll ask her eventually.
06:43I'm just trying not to be so intrusive.
06:45That said, something else that came up at the sleepover is her concern about Bech's
06:52obsessions and compulsions.
06:54And the idea of like a formal diagnosis.
06:57Like...
06:58For what?
06:59OCD, anxiety stuff.
07:01My immediate thought, honestly, is that he's being a boy, he's being rambunctious.
07:09I'm not too concerned about it.
07:11But having Balaam look after him is priceless to me.
07:14I think that her concern is coming from a good place because her OCD rules her life.
07:20But Bechner's so high functioning.
07:23And he just let him be a boy for a while.
07:25I feel like he...
07:26I look at him as more gifted at this point.
07:28Yeah.
07:29Having multiple children with OCD, it's like anything else in life.
07:33It comes and goes.
07:34It falls under that like general anxiety, where if it becomes every single day it's starting
07:39to build up, then it's like, whoa, hang on a second.
07:41What's going on?
07:42Then it's a different conversation.
07:43We listen, we know when to act, but it's never ignored.
07:47No.
07:48Bechner's doesn't warrant attention.
07:50But Al, she's so preoccupied that these things run in families.
07:54And that is smart to know.
07:55It's super important.
07:56Yeah.
07:57And if she and Colin have kids, there's a good chance they're going to need some kind
08:00of medical intervention and good health insurance.
08:02That's why it's important that that's your number one priority when it comes to searching
08:05for jobs.
08:06The importance of medical insurance, especially when you're younger, is so imperative that
08:15without it, it almost guarantees you a path to poverty.
08:20One car accident, one mishap, one medical condition, and you will now be poor.
08:27It doesn't hurt to have a conversation and throw health insurance back in there.
08:33You are going to have a wife with Tourette syndrome, and we don't know if it's ever going
08:38to get better.
08:39They might think that we're nagging, but I think it's just a poke, like, just remember
08:43this is worrying us.
08:44We don't know yet what Colin's future job will be.
08:49And I would feel a little bit more comforted if I knew he was going to do something where
08:54I felt like that they were both going to be taken care of.
08:57For the children.
09:05So I want to talk to you about something.
09:07Over the last several months, I have had a lot of stress regarding what to do with my
09:13career after the military.
09:15This allows me to be me and make the decisions that I think are right.
09:20So welcome to Airly.
09:21Oh, it's like romantic.
09:24This wedding venue feels more like us now as far as pricing.
09:29It could be anywhere from $12,000 to $50,000.
09:43Oh, wait.
09:44I'm sorry.
09:45I'm sorry.
09:46I'm sorry.
09:47What is that?
09:48Oh, that's a fat pimple.
09:49Her name's Susan.
09:52We're on our way to a wedding venue about an hour outside of DC.
09:55And I'm so excited to get back into touring wedding venues and getting in, like, the wedding
10:00mood.
10:03He's thrilled.
10:04So I want to talk to you about something.
10:07Over the last several months, I have had a lot of stress regarding what to do with my
10:14career after the military.
10:16So before we reach this new wedding venue, I have something really important to tell Balin.
10:21And I'm a little nervous.
10:23I'm seriously considering real estate as a possible career option after the military.
10:29I'm not going to say that it's, like, shocking to me to find out that this is what you want
10:36to do because I've known that any job you got outside of the military was not going to
10:42be...
10:43A corporate job.
10:44Yes.
10:45Yeah.
10:46I was really interested in real estate before I joined the military.
10:49I even did a course in course exams.
10:52I just never took my state licensing exam.
10:54I joined the military instead.
10:56So I've always had the interest in it.
10:59It's just never been the right time.
11:01It's a career where I can see myself going into work every single day and, like, being
11:06happy.
11:07Like, it's not like a nine-to-five.
11:09I'm getting paid whenever I close on a house.
11:12So there might be, like, three months where I don't collect a single paycheck.
11:17What benefits does it come with, Dick?
11:20Freedom.
11:21Okay.
11:22But not the benefits that you are talking about.
11:25It's a big benefit, but it's also, like, a really big risk with not having actual and
11:31literal benefits.
11:32I mean, yeah, but you make enough money, hopefully, that you can afford healthcare.
11:38My medical bills are a lot.
11:41I'm currently covered under my parents' health insurance.
11:44However, a couple years from now, I won't be.
11:48Like, that's kind of like...
11:49So how do people do it at first?
11:51If you're barely making any money at first, how are...
11:54Paying out of pocket, what can't you save?
11:57Colin is very ambitious and very hardworking, but there is a lot of uncertainties with no
12:03benefits and no healthcare and not a steady paycheck.
12:06So that's just scary.
12:08How would we even pay for that?
12:11I don't know.
12:12I'm still trying to figure everything out.
12:15First things first, we need to find a wedding venue.
12:20Like, figuring out what we like and what we don't like is so much fun.
12:24We're getting really close to when we want our wedding to happen, and we don't have a venue
12:30yet.
12:31The indoor wedding venue was kind of a bust.
12:33Her dad pitched the idea of his backyard being a venue, and I'm glad that we're back
12:38on the road looking at actual venues, so...
12:43Do you know what color suit you want to wear?
12:46Some kind of blue or...
12:47I don't...
12:48I'm going to be honest.
12:49I don't dig the blue, but I mean...
12:50Because my eyes are blue.
12:51So anytime I wear blue, my eyes pop.
12:53I'm like the creator of the wedding, and he's like the...
13:00Whatever he is.
13:01You're more of the planner, and I'm more of the decorator, and that's why we're not
13:07wearing blue.
13:08Who ends up winning?
13:09Me.
13:10Yeah, there's going to be a lot of compromise.
13:12For you.
13:16I hope that we can, like, envision ourselves getting married here, you know?
13:20Yeah.
13:21Oh my gosh, no.
13:22This place is so pretty.
13:23I don't even think this is the whole thing.
13:36Don't be afraid to jump and fall.
13:40This place is amazing.
13:41It's so open.
13:42It's so gorgeous.
13:43It's giving me old money vibes.
13:47This place is so pretty.
13:48It's like a mansion.
13:49Yeah.
13:50It's effing huge.
13:51Hello!
13:52How are you?
13:53Nice to meet both of you.
13:54Nice to meet you.
13:55Nice to meet you.
13:56Nice to meet you.
13:57I'm Erica.
13:58So, welcome to Airly.
14:00So, for the tour today, we're going to look at where ceremony would be.
14:03We'll move to cocktail hour.
14:04We'll look at reception.
14:05You're more than welcome to interrupt me for any questions that you have.
14:08We'll go through everything.
14:09Perfect.
14:11You're welcome.
14:12Let's go.
14:13Sweet.
14:14Oh, it's, like, romantic.
14:16This is so pretty.
14:18This is so pretty.
14:19That's like a little mushroom.
14:21So, then we come down here, and this is where ceremony would be.
14:24Oh, my God.
14:27Bitch.
14:30Okay.
14:31So, you have multiple different spaces that you could stand.
14:33So, you could stand right where you are and have the archway as the background.
14:36You could also stand over here in front of the hydranias.
14:41Oh, wow.
14:42And you would come out of the garden.
14:44I would come out of the garden like a fairy.
14:46Yeah, like a fairy.
14:47Fairy.
14:48This wedding venue feels more like us.
14:52I feel really comfortable ticking because it's outdoors, and it smells fresh.
14:57Literally.
14:58My parents' backyard smells like horse manure.
15:00This place is a step closer towards our vision, and it's just like your mouth has dropped the whole time.
15:05Okay, here's one of the most important questions.
15:07Do you guys allow animals?
15:09Absolutely.
15:10Sweet.
15:11We do.
15:12We have bunnies, deer, foxes.
15:14You have horses?
15:15We have, um, not at the moment we don't have any horses, but we do allow horses.
15:19What about, have you guys ever had alpacas?
15:21Nope.
15:22So there's an alpaca or a llama farm right up the road, actually.
15:24Yes.
15:25For sure.
15:26Ugh.
15:27It is fate.
15:28If Baylin gets her alpacas, then I'd definitely get my horse.
15:32Only if it's attached to a carriage.
15:34Nope.
15:37This would be reception space.
15:39Mommy!
15:41You can just head on in.
15:43You're welcome.
15:44Look at the lights.
15:45This is sick.
15:46This is insane.
15:47Mm-hmm.
15:48So this is the pavilion.
15:50What is great about this space is all of these windows are actually doors.
15:53So they can open up for an indoor-outdoor feel.
15:55It's so gorgeous, and it has so much natural lighting.
15:59But indoor spaces can set off my ticks, so it's really comforting knowing that all the windows and doors open up.
16:06And as far as, like, the food...
16:09You can do buffet or plated.
16:10I'm not sure if you guys have an idea of which way you're wanting to go, but we can do either or in this space.
16:14Do you guys do, like, grilled cheese sliders?
16:16So we do all kinds of things.
16:17We have a late-night bites list that has chicken and waffles.
16:20It has cupcake bar.
16:21It has the fry time.
16:22Do you have any ice cream?
16:24We can make ice cream.
16:25A queso fountain.
16:26I have a wedding doing a queso fountain here this August.
16:28Do you really?
16:29I do.
16:30I mean, when I hear the words queso fountain...
16:33Diarrhea, bitch!
16:34Sorry.
16:35I mean...
16:37Cha-cha-cha.
16:40And for our guests, where is the closest place for them to stay?
16:45Here.
16:46Like, 180 people could stay here.
16:48We have 123 rooms on property.
16:50We also have two cottages.
16:51So you would actually get a complimentary room the night of your wedding.
16:55It's an all-inclusive.
16:57That's just amazing.
16:58And we haven't seen a venue like that.
17:01Now, as far as pricing, how would it be for a weekend between May and June?
17:07Pricing is a very wide range.
17:09So, like, a day of wedding, it could be anywhere from $12,000 to $50,000.
17:13But I do send you a proposal so you have a good idea of what it would look like.
17:18Everything about this place seems perfect.
17:21But then when the price is brought up...
17:24Your heart drops to your ass.
17:27You guys have any questions for in here?
17:29I do not.
17:30I'm just obsessed with the whole property.
17:33I can very much see myself getting married here.
17:37The price has got to be right.
17:39Why ain't it?
17:40This is what the case of that one is going to look like.
17:42Yeah.
17:43You guys are getting married.
17:44You're going to eventually want children.
17:46Colin's not 100% sure what his next path is.
17:50Like, a medical plan is probably the number one thing when it comes to jobs.
17:55At some point, you're going to have to trust me to be able to take care of your daughter.
17:58How are you?
17:59Good to see you.
18:00We're going through doggy outfits.
18:01Okay, perfect.
18:02So that's what we're doing.
18:03Basically, I need to organize them to see if they still fit them or not.
18:17Oh, hi.
18:18These puppies have more clothes than I do.
18:19Here's Tootsie's on me.
18:20Financial Tootsie.
18:21Would you wear these at the wedding, too?
18:22Huh?
18:23Hey, Tootsie.
18:24Does Valen have good taste when it comes to your fashion?
18:26Fluff.
18:27You like this, bro?
18:28She goes, absolutely not, Mom.
18:29Fluffy.
18:30What do you think about your dress?
18:31You like Tootsie's bathing suit?
18:32Nothing but modest in this house.
18:33Okay.
18:34Okay.
18:35These puppies have more clothes than I do.
18:36Here's Tootsie's on me.
18:37Financial Tootsie.
18:38Would you wear these at the wedding, too?
18:39Huh?
18:40Hey, Tootsie.
18:41Does Valen have good taste when it comes to your fashion?
18:43Fluff.
18:44You like this, bro?
18:46She goes, absolutely not, Mom.
18:49Fluffy.
18:50What do you think about your dress?
18:52You like Tootsie's bathing suit?
18:56Nothing but modest in this house.
18:57Okay.
18:58This is what Colin would want me in for the wedding.
19:01Oh.
19:02I'd be like, this is it.
19:03Speaking of that, how is that going?
19:04It's going.
19:05It's going.
19:06We just got done looking at a wedding venue, and it was gorgeous, but I'm just scared to
19:12see how much it's going to cost, so it might be out of our budget.
19:15So, are you excited about looking at dresses, trying them on?
19:18I'm so excited, but I'm a little nervous to try them on.
19:22I need to get in shape first.
19:23My new med, which is a mood stabilizer, makes me gain weight like crazy.
19:28Two years ago, I took a medication, and it made me gain 30 pounds in a month.
19:35Not 13, 30.
19:37So, I'm a little bit more than concerned going down this route again.
19:41When I tell you nothing fits, my jeans don't fit, I'm surprised my sweatpants do, my bras.
19:48I don't know what's going on.
19:50I need to be able to walk down the aisle, not be rolled, okay?
19:54But having said that, I've looked at pictures online of, like, dresses, but I've never, haven't
19:59tried any on.
20:00Should we look at some?
20:01Let's do it.
20:02That's the thing.
20:03Let's go look at them.
20:04There's two types of style dresses that I can envision myself in, either princess style
20:11or a boho dress.
20:14But also, I changed my mind too much.
20:17Okay.
20:18Cute.
20:19What do you like about this one?
20:20So, I like...
20:21The ruffles at the bottom.
20:22Yeah.
20:23It's like a start to the ruffles.
20:24You want to have tiers.
20:25You want to have layers.
20:26Yes.
20:27Yes.
20:28So, that's like the bottom.
20:29Okay.
20:30This is cute.
20:31I like the silk.
20:32But it's too simple.
20:34Okay.
20:35I love this.
20:36That is really pretty.
20:37I like, do you like lace?
20:38Yes, but I like the sleeves more.
20:41My sister's going to hate me when she's going to have to button all that.
20:45Is she going to be your maid of honor, right?
20:47Love that.
20:48Yeah.
20:49I know that my mom would love to be as involved as possible, but, well, without a date and without
20:55a venue, I don't got no information to give.
20:58But I do know my mom and my sister would be very devastated if I did not take them wedding
21:02to our shopping.
21:03Would they even talk to me?
21:06Like...
21:07Pink.
21:08Like, would you be open to not having a...
21:12Okay.
21:13I could do pink, just not this color pink.
21:15What does Colin think about?
21:16Colin doesn't know what I'm wearing when I go down the aisle until I walk down the aisle.
21:21I know Colin wants everything traditional.
21:23White shoes, white veil, white dress.
21:25That sucks.
21:26I will not not be in color.
21:29Okay, that is so pretty.
21:31I like that pink.
21:32I like the train.
21:33I could take that.
21:34Oh!
21:35Yes!
21:36That's cute.
21:37This is perfect.
21:38There we go.
21:39I like the swirls.
21:40I like how big it is.
21:41It looks so fun to like throw around, you know?
21:43Yes.
21:44I am prepared to wear whatever dress, whatever color, whatever style dress I want in hopes
21:49that he will be, draws the floor.
21:52I want that dress.
21:53What is he going to say if I come down the aisle in a pink, bright pink dress?
21:58What is he going to do?
21:59Say no?
22:00No.
22:01He won't get your waist off!
22:02He's a plane star!
22:03I'm glad that Leela was able to watch the babies.
22:20Yeah.
22:21So we're heading to Roanoke this weekend and I'm excited to fill my family in on the non-existent
22:28wedding planning that's going on, but we have made a little bit of progress.
22:32Chuck's bald.
22:33Marlene's a dirty, fat, filthy, horny whore.
22:38Because of the new tick I have about Marlene, Marlene's a dirty, fat, filthy, horny, lying
22:43bitch.
22:44Whore.
22:45Yeah, she knows that you can't control it.
22:59So look her right in the eyes, into her soul.
23:02Marlene's a dirty, fat, filthy, horny whore, you bitch.
23:05Yup.
23:06And you say exactly that.
23:08No.
23:09I want her to get over the fear that she's having, or this anxiety that she's having,
23:15that my mom's going to like, hate her for saying that.
23:18She knows she's not a fat, dirty, filthy whore.
23:20Horny whore.
23:21It's just like, to have a tick about Colin's mom, it's so inappropriate.
23:27You're bald, sir!
23:30You woke up bald!
23:32Bald o'clock!
23:34Chuck is bald!
23:36Hi, Mom.
23:37Hey, Dad.
23:38What are you doing?
23:39Hey, Dad.
23:40I'm with Colin.
23:41We're on our way to Roanoke to hang out with the fam.
23:42Okay.
23:43Um, I just wanted to thank you again for being so insightful and compassionate and not afraid
23:55to talk to me about, about Beckner and some of the things that you saw.
24:00And it kind of prompted your dad and I to think about things.
24:03Okay.
24:04And since you and Colin are obviously in the car together, you guys are really well
24:09aware at this point what the familial genetic combination is with some of the things that
24:15are going on with the family.
24:17Mm-hmm.
24:18And you guys are getting married.
24:20You're going to eventually want children.
24:21Colin's not 100% sure what his next path is, whether it's staying in the military, most
24:26likely leaving, and I start thinking about medical insurance and I have some concerns.
24:31Mm-hmm.
24:33Like, a medical plan is probably the number one thing when it comes to jobs.
24:37It's not like, what do I want to do because I think it's fun and cool.
24:40It's, what does a medical plan look like?
24:42And then second is, will I make enough money to survive?
24:45So what does this have to do with Beckner?
24:48We're just trying to really help better equip you with, you know, an advantage compared
24:55to figuring it out on your own and making some really serious decisions that may have
25:01difficult consequences.
25:02Balen's concern about Beckner is extremely important.
25:08That's why it's up to us to explain to our kid and our fiancee, this is why you need healthcare.
25:15Balen has a few more years left on my plan.
25:19A few more years from now, when you have children, your child is not on our plan.
25:23You need to do the best you can do for your family because if not, you better fix yourself.
25:28It's not just about medical insurance for you, Balen, but it's for your kids.
25:34Can someone just get to where this is going?
25:37Because I'm so confused.
25:39Like, what is going on?
25:40Is Beckner okay?
25:42He doesn't just watch him go.
25:43He's just a rambunctious kid.
25:45And at this point, we're just really not pursuing anything.
25:47So you guys came to the conclusion that you guys aren't taking him to the doctor?
25:51No.
25:53I think that we are like a safe, secure spot for him.
25:56And if it gets to a point where things seem to change, then, like, we've already been through this where we're like, uh-huh.
26:02So...
26:03Mm-hmm.
26:04I'm a little disappointed in them not taking Beckner to the doctor.
26:07But I trust them with whatever decision they make.
26:10They're parenting, not me.
26:11Well, I appreciate you guys telling me...
26:14Well, we won't keep you.
26:15We love you guys, all right?
26:16All right, love you too.
26:17We'll keep you a little bit, honey.
26:18Okay.
26:19Bye.
26:20Okay.
26:21Love you.
26:22Bye.
26:23Anywho, I know what my parents mean with health insurance.
26:26I mean, my medical files are, like, this thick.
26:29And a lot of my siblings are pretty thick, too.
26:32I mean, your dad kind of lost me when he said stability and having health care is more important than doing something that you enjoy.
26:41I know that Colin's happiness isn't in the military, but I know it's hard for my parents, especially my dad, to trust that everything's gonna work out just fine.
26:50He wants to know that there's a plan in place for a stable future.
26:53It's our life, our family, it's our household that we're gonna be building.
26:59We need to be able to make decisions by ourselves.
27:02And if that involves a job that doesn't provide health benefits, like real estate, then that's something that we would have to figure out on our own.
27:13I understand that Valen's parents are worried about their daughter, but we're about to get married.
27:19And at some point, you're gonna have to trust me to be able to take care of your daughter.
27:24But at the end of the day, nobody's gonna tell me what job I'm going to choose.
27:29.
27:48Yay!
27:49They're here.
27:50Yay!
27:51Oh, she's got a dress on.
27:52How are you?
27:53Good.
27:54How are y'all?
27:55Good.
27:56I'm Ailyn.
27:57Hi.
27:58How are you?
27:59Oh, you look so pretty.
28:00Oh, thank you.
28:01It is very hard to go a couple of months without seeing my son.
28:04It's just, I like talking to him a lot.
28:06Oh, I'm glad you got to come in.
28:08I'm missing you.
28:09I mean, it's been months since they got engaged, so I'd love to just get an idea of where they're at with all of the planning.
28:15I haven't heard anything.
28:17I just, I like details.
28:18What have you guys been doing in the meantime?
28:20Well, we're still looking at, uh, we're still looking at venues.
28:26Um, that was good.
28:28I'm pretty accurate, if I do say so myself.
28:31Oh, Lord.
28:32Um, we've went and seen a couple venues.
28:35One was indoor.
28:36Like, all indoors.
28:37High end, like, chandeliers everywhere.
28:40Like, everything was marble.
28:41It was very echoey, like...
28:42That's why we didn't really like it, because it just, like, made her feel like she had to hold in her tics.
28:47So then we looked at this other place.
28:49What?
28:50What?
28:51It was really beautiful.
28:52It was, like, on this, like, compound.
28:53Yeah.
28:54But we just don't know if it's gonna be within a price range.
28:56Okay.
28:57And then we have a cheaper option.
28:58Yeah.
28:59My parents' backyard.
29:00Oh.
29:01They brought that up.
29:02Okay.
29:03Have you thought about any around here?
29:06I haven't looked at any around here.
29:08Well, maybe you can check out some places around here on your way back.
29:11See if there's some you can look at.
29:13Yeah.
29:14That'd be awesome.
29:15Colin has a lot of older persons in his family.
29:17Like, his granddad, his grandma, a lot of them take a lot of medication, too.
29:20So he would probably get more family members to come to his wedding if it's closer.
29:25Ride the horse.
29:27Colin wants a horse.
29:29Yeah, I do want a horse.
29:30And I want an alpaca.
29:31Think about it.
29:32Just think about it.
29:33Instead of having a getaway car, that's our getaway car.
29:36The horse.
29:37We get on the horse and we ride it.
29:38I thought she didn't like horses, though.
29:39I don't.
29:40Put the horse in front of a carriage.
29:41And get in the carriage and let them out.
29:42Well, then you're not on the horse.
29:43You're not on the horse, though.
29:44How are you gonna get on a horse in a tux?
29:46You're gonna rip your pants.
29:47I'm not gonna wear tight pants.
29:48I don't find a way to get on that.
29:50Oh, my gosh.
29:51Even if I rip my pants.
29:52This is not gonna end well.
29:53No, it's honestly not.
29:55And that's why I just let him run.
29:57Let him go.
29:58He used to have this stick horse that he would ride around the house, too.
30:02But only with his gun holster.
30:04That's it.
30:05Butt naked.
30:06I'd be butt naked.
30:07My horse head on a stick.
30:08Ride the horse.
30:09Every night?
30:11No, it was any time I had to take a shower.
30:13Right before the shower.
30:14Sounds a little OCD.
30:15I would just get, like, the zoomies or whatever.
30:17And I'd be like, oh, I'm so excited for my shower.
30:19Let me go ride my horse.
30:20Ride the horse.
30:21Well, you're never that excited anymore for a shower.
30:23So it's okay.
30:24I did a lot of things when I was three and four, too.
30:27So mom told me the other day that you weren't feeling well.
30:30Are you still feeling bad?
30:31You're bald.
30:32Yeah.
30:33That, too.
30:34I'm sorry.
30:35It's okay.
30:36I have a really very...
30:39Marlene's a dirty, fat, filthy, horny whore.
30:45This specific tick is really uncomfortable for me
30:48because nobody wants to be called any of those things,
30:50especially Colin's mom.
30:53I'm just gonna let that out now and say you have a very extensive tick,
30:58and I don't want you to be offended.
31:02That's okay.
31:03Okay.
31:04I am not gonna be offended.
31:05Okay.
31:06I think in that moment she might have been embarrassed.
31:08Hmm.
31:09So I think she might have some inner feelings about her ticks
31:13and that she can't maybe express them fully in front of us yet.
31:17But for me, I've gotten to the point where her Tourette's is her Tourette's.
31:20I know where her heart is and I know how she truly feels about me,
31:24so I just want her to know that it's okay.
31:26It's been eating away at me.
31:28My mom's reaction was that she just didn't care.
31:31And she wouldn't be offended, which was really, really nice.
31:33Like I said.
31:34I know, but I needed to hear it from her, not from you.
31:37I'll take a bow.
31:38Take a dick.
31:39Take a dick.
31:40Take a dick.
31:41Take a dick.
31:44I mean, there's so many things that go into a wedding.
31:46What is the number one thing for each of you?
31:50For me, it's budget.
31:52I want the wedding to be as colorful as possible.
31:54That's just everything I can hope.
31:56We're all gonna be wearing pink.
31:57Please!
31:59Please!
32:00I tried to get Colin in a pink tux and he's like,
32:02I will not wear that.
32:03Don't blind me.
32:04I wear pink tux.
32:05I love pink.
32:06Yes!
32:07Can I wear shorts?
32:08Nope.
32:09Skinny jeans.
32:10Skinny jeans with holes.
32:11No, I'm not getting skinny jeans.
32:12All right.
32:13All right, well, I'm gonna start cleaning up some of this stuff then.
32:15It gets me excited to know that his family is also excited.
32:20Now we're talking.
32:21Now we're talking wedding.
32:22We'll definitely find ways to get y'all involved,
32:24but I do think that we should check out a place.
32:26On the way back to D.C. tomorrow, like a venue.
32:28I agree.
32:29I would like to have some involvement with Colin in the wedding,
32:33but it needs to be their day.
32:34It needs to be what they've planned, what they wanted.
32:36But I'd be more than happy to be a part of anything that they would like for me to have.
32:40Let me say, what the heck's going on?
32:43Hey, Colleen.
32:44Can I talk to you real quick?
32:45Sure.
32:46I want to talk to my sister because, besides Vaylin, my sister really knows me the best.
32:55I have a lot of things on my mind right now with wedding planning, the job after military,
33:01and Alan's opinion that job stability is more important than happiness, which is just crazy to me.
33:08It's a lot.
33:09What's up?
33:10So, aside from the wedding, there's a lot of, like, big life decisions that I have coming up that I have to make,
33:27and I know that you are doing real estate.
33:29Yeah, yeah, yeah.
33:30I've always been super interested in real estate, so I wanted to ask you, how's it going?
33:36What's your thoughts about it?
33:37Yeah.
33:38I mean, for me, I have a full-time job, and I do real estate part-time.
33:43What are you thinking?
33:44It would be a full-time gig.
33:46Okay.
33:47Why real estate?
33:48Because you could go months without having a paycheck.
33:52And that's definitely something that you have to not only financially prepare for, but mentally prepare for.
33:58Yeah.
33:59It is scary to think that I couldn't make a single paycheck for an entire year.
34:04So, yeah, there is a risk, but if this happens, I'm going to give real estate everything in my body for it to succeed.
34:11And I just, like, had a lot of outside noise and pressure.
34:14Who's causing the outside noise?
34:16That would be Alan, her father.
34:20Okay.
34:21I think that as long as it benefits you and Baylen, that's all that matters.
34:26Okay.
34:27Just shut out the noise.
34:29They're creating a life together.
34:32I think the outside noise can create a lot of distraction.
34:37It's not my parents.
34:39It's not her parents.
34:41It's their life.
34:42I appreciate that.
34:43Of course.
34:44I love that my family has my back.
34:47And I know that I'm going to regret it if I don't even just try.
34:52Simply because it's something that I've been wanting to do for a very long time.
34:55And it's very, very important to have Baylen believe in me.
35:04For the longest time, it's been me and you.
35:10I don't want to touch it right here.
35:11I know the look on your face is.
35:12Don't back, don't back away.
35:13Cause I don't want to lose you now.
35:27This is country roads right here.
35:29So we're still waiting on the early budget proposal and right now it's the one to beat.
35:35But today we are taking my mom's suggestion to look at a venue closer to Roanoke.
35:41And we found a beautiful location that would fit us in last minute for a tour right before we head home.
35:47I'm so excited.
35:50I just hope, I hope it's in our price range because.
35:53Oh my gosh.
35:56Look at this.
35:59Oh my.
36:02Oh my gosh.
36:03Look at this side.
36:04Oh my God.
36:05It's a barn.
36:10Oh my God.
36:11I don't think we need to look for anything else.
36:14This is crazy.
36:16Home sweet.
36:17Let's get eloped today.
36:19I'm in a dress.
36:22I don't see a horse getting up here.
36:24That's all I gotta see.
36:25What do you mean you don't see a horse?
36:26I don't see a horse getting up.
36:27I'm not taking a horse and carriage down that road.
36:31This is a private tour, right?
36:32Yeah.
36:33Yeah.
36:34Where are they at?
36:36Who is that?
36:38That's my mom and my sister.
36:39I asked them to join us.
36:42You didn't want to share any of that with me until they arrived?
36:45I really want my family to be involved in the wedding planning.
36:50Why couldn't you tell me they were coming?
36:52Because I wanted them to.
36:54Hi.
36:55Hi guys.
36:56So, I invited my mom and my sister to look at this venue last minute.
37:01Because I don't know when they're gonna be able to help us out in the future.
37:05Hey.
37:06Hey.
37:07I was wondering why we were waiting out here.
37:08Thanks for having us.
37:09Yeah.
37:10I don't understand why Colin couldn't just tell me that he invited his mom and his sister
37:14on this tour.
37:15Don't get me wrong.
37:16I love Colin's family.
37:18I just know that my mom has been dying to be a part of wedding planning.
37:23And the last person I want to hurt is my mom.
37:26I feel ambushed.
37:32It's margarita time.
37:35I've never needed a drink more.
37:37So, we went and saw a wedding venue that we decided last minute to see.
37:44And Khalid and Marlene surprised me there by coming.
37:47So, your dad and I had like this little idea.
37:50It's the last little idea you had.
37:52We had therapy.
37:53Yeah.
37:54I think this was better than therapy.
37:55Okay.
37:56Your mom and I want to have a big party.
37:58Like an engagement party?
37:59Absolutely.
38:00Do you think that your parents have some kind of ulterior motive behind it?
38:04My dad offered my parents' backyard as a wedding venue.
38:08Okay.
38:09It's just, he's having a lot of influence on our lives right now.
38:15Whether it's the venues or what career I want to go into.
38:21Bye!
