00:05under the theme, My Day, My Rights, Prime Minister Kamala Passat-Bassassar reaffirmed
00:10her government's commitment to safeguarding the well-being, safety and development of every child,
00:17ensuring their rights are upheld and protected.
00:21In her national message, the PM says the observance is a powerful reminder
00:26that every child carries inherent dignity, deserves full protection
00:31and has the right to be heard as they shape their own future.
00:35Since returning to office in April, she says the government has advanced several key initiatives
00:40to strengthen children's rights and opportunities.
00:43These include expanding universal digital access through secure, child-safe platforms,
00:49providing free laptops to all Form 1 students, enhancing school safety frameworks
00:55and increasing pediatric mental health services.
00:59Ms. Passat-Bassassar highlighted the upcoming opening of the Koover Children's Hospital in December
01:03as a major investment in the future of children's health care.
01:08She called on the nation to listen closely to the voices of young people,
01:12noting that their creativity and courage can guide the country
01:15toward a brighter and more inclusive future.
