00:00According to Mr. Ramada, when a person is in public life, all their affairs should be conducted above board.
00:07This, says Housing Minister Adrian Leonce, came under fire for his United Kingdom registered company and his involvement with an alleged gangster.
00:17The Minister has since explained the situation and has received the backing of Prime Minister Stuart Young.
00:25In explaining, the Minister noted that registering the company required a UK address, adding that he utilised the address of the man in question for that purpose.
00:35Today, Ramada describes that decision as a poor choice.
00:40He manipulated our system. If it is that a company needs to be registered and to have a British address, certainly if his grandmother lives there, that would be an address.
00:51The attorney says it would be immature to meet someone on two or three occasions and partner with them as a director in a company without doing proper background checks.
01:01Ramada maintains that a thorough probe is required and wants the Minister to step aside.
01:08You must do that which is right, which is exactly that. Relieve yourself of any authority and power. Let an investigation go forward. It could be really quick, it may be long.
01:19On a separate note, he says, the situation between the Chief Justice and former High Court Judge Marcia S Caesar is one of dire concern.
01:28There is a serious concern beyond the judiciary. There is one where the state itself loses the authority, the moral and legal authority in the eyes of the population.
