00:00My name is Trent Corey and I'm the director of DROP.
00:04The inspiration came from, funny enough, I had a quarter in my mouth and my fiance said,
00:10do you know where that's been? And I thought, oh yeah, she's got a good point. That's probably
00:13been on sidewalks and in sewers and airplanes. And I thought, well, what other thing has gone
00:19all over the world like this? And we thought of the raindrop. It's this really cool element
00:24that can travel all around the world. We make features that look one way, very realistically
00:30lit. But since we're in this experimental program, we thought, let's try to do something different
00:36with this short. I love the legacy here at Disney with 2D animation. I grew up on the 2D films in
00:41the 90s and I thought, how can we try to incorporate this into the short? Dan Lund early on pitched
00:46that he does the effects animation in 2D. So he actually hand drew the water while we kept the
00:52character in CG. And it was a really cool way to blend the two mediums together. So I just loved
00:57working with the expertise of people that have worked on films like The Lion King and Little
01:01Mermaid are now all helping to make this little short come to life.
01:22films like The Lion King and Little Mermaid are now all about the different genres of
01:29films like The Lion King. And I'm just wondering, how is it possible to be a fun one?
01:33The Lion King is a fun one. I'm just wondering if you're going to be a fun one?
01:36How does this mean? The Lion King is a fun one?
01:40I'm just wondering if I'm going to have a fun one. I'm just wondering if you're going to be a fun one.
01:46Oh, my God.
02:16Let's go.
