00:01Hi, I'm Lisa Rae and I'm the director of the short circuit short film the number two to Kettering
00:08So I grew up in Northampton, England and I used to get the number two bus to school
00:12it was a big red double-decker bus for the strangers and
00:16one day someone exiting the bus sort of caught my eye and smiled at me and
00:20My immediate reaction was like, oh, no, don't don't look at this person. You know, don't don't interact
00:25And I just realized actually that felt really nice
00:29So I wanted to whenever I could you know without being the crazy girl on the bus
00:34Just sort of catch someone's eye and smile at them and I got the nickname the smiler from all the bus drivers, you know
00:42I use color to try and relay this emotional journey that this girl's on another thing that we went with
00:49Stylistically was trying to make it look like a bit of a stop-motion animation
00:53So having the background characters animated on twos and having real tactile textures
01:00You know, we have such a huge impact on one another
01:03We're all going through something and sometimes the smallest acts if you know if it's just a smile can really help brighten someone's day. I
01:11Hope you enjoy the number two to Kettering
