Even before the land was at its max, the wait for the ride for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run was at three-hours.
Transcript
00:00Star Wars and Disney fans, today is the day Star Wars Galaxy's Edge is officially open to the full public.
00:11But in less than an hour, people were already being turned away from the attraction at Disneyland in Anaheim
00:16because crowds had reached capacity. Dang. Guests would be allowed to come back at a later time in the day
00:21with a, quote, boarding party or a virtual queue. But the land was packed almost immediately.
00:27The immensely popular attraction even opened 30 minutes early at 7.30 a.m., but by 8.20, no more walk-ins were allowed.
00:34And even before Galaxy's Edge had hit its max, the wait time to ride Millennium Falcon Smuggler's Run was already at 180 minutes,
00:41aka three hours, according to the official Disneyland app. But by 10 a.m., the wait time was down to 40 minutes.
00:47The Star Wars attraction had a soft opening beginning May 31st when a reservation was required to get into the 14-acre area
00:54that features the one ride and a number of shops and restaurants, all on the theme of a galaxy far, far away.
01:00Now, guests are allowed to walk right into the land as long as it's not at capacity. Disney will not say what that number is.
01:06Once that happens, people will have to use the Disneyland app to get an entrance time in the virtual queue.
