Transcript
00:01It's been a long awards season.
00:03Obnoxious, loud, whatever you want to call it, each thing.
00:05I wore kind of a golden brown to the Golden Globe.
00:08So we thought, I mean, let's not go backwards.
00:11Let's keep going forwards.
00:12I love it.
00:13And given this long awards, you'll always remember.
00:16I mean, there's so many.
00:18The luncheon, the nominee's luncheon is a very nice time
00:22because you get to see so many, like, legends.
00:25I met Tom Cruise.
00:26I got a picture with Tom Cruise and Kehi Kwan and Rita Wilson.
00:30Great group, great photo.
00:32So things like that.
00:33You just get to see people you admire and, yeah,
00:36just trying to keep those memories.
00:38Anybody you're excited to see here tonight
00:40that you haven't gotten a chance to meet yet?
00:42Oh, that's a good question.
00:44No, I can't name a single person.
00:47But my mom, both of my parents are here,
00:49and my mom loves, like, seeing celebrities.
00:51She's always, like, taking, like, surreptitious photos
00:53of celebrities with their phones.
00:55So I'm going to let her do that.
00:56And I'm just going to try to play it cool.
00:58I love that.
00:59I love that you got to bring her tonight.
01:00That's amazing.
01:01Yeah.
01:02It's good to have them here.
01:03If you win the Oscar tonight,
01:05do you know where you're going to put it?
01:08Yeah.
01:09I have a couple of others,
01:10so I'd probably put it with those.
01:11They're on a little, like, low table by my piano.
01:14What would it mean to win for this film in particular?
01:18It would mean a lot.
01:19It would mean a lot.
01:20I worked hard on this film.
01:21I worked for a little over three years on it.
01:23And I don't know.
01:25Look, I've been very lucky so far.
01:28It's like I can't complain.
01:29But to win for another thing,
01:31to show that I'm not just La La Land,
01:33I'm something else, too.
01:34I mean, I think that would be nice.
01:35I think that would feel really good.
01:36So, fingers crossed.
01:38But, you know, there are some really,
01:39really fantastic scores in the race this year.
01:42So I don't know what's going to happen.
01:44And after the show is over tonight, what's your plan?
01:46Are you hitting up the after parties or just going home?
01:48Yeah, my parents and I and I've got a couple managers here.
01:51We're going to go to the Governor's Ball.
01:53And then there are other parties after that.
01:56Well, I don't know yet.
01:57We'll have to see how we feel and how tired we are.
02:00Of course, a lot of big performances happening tonight
02:02on this forming now.
02:03Of course, Rihanna also.
02:05All of them.
02:06I really love Lift Me Up.
02:08That's a great song.
02:09Hold My Hands.
02:10I mean, Diane Warren's a good friend.
02:12So to see her and Sophia do it will be great.
02:15Like, all the performances are going to be great.
02:17That's like the entertainment part of the show.
02:19So they'll all be great.
02:21Since she's a good friend,
02:22what would it mean to see Diane Warren finally win tonight?
02:24I'd love to see her win.
02:25It was great to see her get the lifetime,
02:27the honorary Oscar a few months ago.
02:30And one of these years, she's going to win the competitive one.
02:33I mean, she's such an incredible songwriter.
02:35Her songs are legendary.
02:37And I'm always rooting for Diane.
