00:00After months of anticipation of the Star Wars attraction, Rise of the Resistance is finally
00:04open at Galaxy's Edge in Walt Disney World. But it appears the ride is off to a rough start,
00:09reportedly breaking down in its first two days of operation. The attraction that's been heralded
00:13as the most impressive ride undertaking in Disney Park's history opened on Thursday at Walt
00:18Disney World in Florida. But according to visitors who posted to social media, it broke down multiple
00:23times that day, forcing them to evacuate the area. It didn't appear that the situation was
00:27going much better on Friday, with visitors again posting on social media that the ride had
00:31apparently broken down. Those evacuated after the ride reportedly went offline were given fast
00:36passes to return. Walt Disney World officials were not immediately available for comment.
00:41However, those who were able to ride Rise of the Resistance said it was one of the most
00:45impressive theme park experiences they have ever had, noting the interaction with both actors
00:50and animatronics in what Disney Parks has billed as its longest ride to date. Rise of the Resistance
00:55opens at Disneyland in California on January 17, 2020. For more on this story, head to THR.com.
