The Immigration Department detained 123 foreigners believed to be working at a plastic factory without valid documents.

Johor Immigration director Datuk Mohd Rusdi Mohd Darus said the operation was at a factory in the Senai industrial area at 7pm on Friday (Nov 14).

00:12State Immigration Director Datuk Mohammad Rusti Mohammad Darus said the operation took
00:16place at a factory in the Senai industrial area at 7 p.m.
00:21He said the situation became chaotic when several workers attempted to flee and hide
00:26within the factory.
00:27However, swift action by enforcement officers sealed all exits and prevented anyone from
00:33escaping.
00:35The detainees, aged between 20 and 48, were held for various immigration offences, including
00:41working without permission, failing to produce legal documents, and not possessing valid passes.
00:47Among those detained were 45 Bangladeshi men, 23 Myanmar men, 3 Indian men, and 1 Nepalese
00:54man, as well as 48 Myanmar women, 1 Nepalese woman, and 1 Indian woman.
01:01The factory's human resources officer, a local, was also arrested.
