More than 100 foreign nationals have been arrested following multiple raids on factories across five districts in Johor.

00:00Some 114 foreign nationals were arrested on Wednesday following multiple raids on factories
00:07across five districts in Johor.
00:10State Immigration Director Datuk Mohammad Rusti, Mohammad Darus, said the detainees,
00:16aged between 21 and 55, were taken in during the operation conducted simultaneously in
00:22Johor Bahru, Muar, Sergamat, Mehr Singh and Batu Pahat.
00:28He said the immigration department conducted checks on a total of 511 individuals.
00:35He said the suspects, including 10 women, are from countries like Bangladesh, India, Pakistan,
00:40Nepal and Indonesia.
00:43Four local men, who are company owners and managers, were also detained.
00:48The foreigners are being investigated under the Immigration Act and Immigration Regulations
00:52since 1963, while the locals are being probed for harboring undocumented migrants.
00:59Ten others were issued notices to report to the Immigration Office to assist in the investigation.
