00:00In the Triple Crown format, everybody's allowed to have a second teched bike, which means it's got through technical inspection there.
00:08And that's just for Triple Crowns because of the pace of racing. If something happens to the bike, they need to have another one ready.
00:14Now, this is Eli Tomac's bike. That is the bike from that second race, which got damaged.
00:20They have fixed it, but that's now his backup bike. The team have decided to go with the teched bike,
00:24which is what Eli is going to race on for safety reasons. They said that way, if there's any damage that they didn't know about, that's the safer choice.
00:33Good report there. That's one of the first times we've seen that.
00:36That's wild. Look, it goes to the inside here on the start, too.
00:38This is it. It's so tight in points. Who's going to grab the start? Race three. Oh, Sexton almost hit the gate.
00:45He's going to start way back. Tomac with a hole shot.
00:48Look at Hunter, though. From an overall standpoint, he is the guy right there.
00:59That's right. He's two points back of Webb and Roxen coming into this one, but they're pretty far back.
01:04He's the second. There's Webb making moves on the left side, trying to get Craig for fourth.
01:09Hunter's going to have to do a really good job to defend his position over Jason Anderson.
01:15If he isn't able to do that, it is going to allow Eli to absolutely take off.
01:22I'm impressed that Eli has bounced back like this, and Anderson fighting.

01:28Great job by Anderson. He gets a good drive out of that corner, has faster straightaway speed.
01:36And Lawrence still cannot get him.
01:39And that's going to benefit Webb possibly as well.

01:46He cased the finish line jump, we hear, and that's big JT.
01:50Cooper Webb tried to make a move in the corner before the finish, got offline, and actually jumped off the track and short on the finish line.
01:58He is extremely lucky to go down.

02:02He tries to make a move, gets cross-rutted, gets it in the side of RJ, and he shoots left.

02:23Meanwhile, Anderson has taken the lead from Tomek.

02:30Every time you think you have it figured out, someone makes a mistake and it changes.
02:37Wonder if Eli is feeling 100% going back to that gnarly crash he took in race two.
02:43Maybe he made a mistake at the same time.
02:46This is bad time for that to happen because El Hombre is bringing the heat, riding good all night.
02:51And Hunter Lawrence up the inside takes second away, Will.
02:54I did check in with the Red Bull KTM team to see if there was any injuries on Eli after that.
02:59And I got told by two of the team members that he's perfectly fine.
03:03It looks that way because he's right back up on the 96.
03:08And Hunter Lawrence able to hold him off.
03:10The battle is on now.
03:11What a way to defend the position by Hunter Lawrence.
03:15It is so hard not to get scared or spooked a little bit and get offline.
03:20It didn't even phase him.
03:21He still triple-triples that section.
03:23And Eli wasn't able to do that.
03:26Hunter pulls a little breathing room in between the two of them.
03:29But Hunter isn't able to do the rhythm lane.
03:32Tomek gets him back.
03:36Great racing.
03:37Now Tomek's not in it for the overall race win.
03:41But Hunter Lawrence certainly is.
03:42And that's costly because now Roxxon's up to fourth.
03:45I believe this puts Roxxon into the overall win.
03:50And he is closing.
03:52Yeah, it does.
03:53Right now as they run, Roxxon would win by one point over Hunter Lawrence.
04:01Webb is still buried in seventh.
04:03Sexton the bat start is sixth.
04:04But Webb is right there also.
04:06If you look at the pylon on your left right there.
04:08Five seconds back of the leader.
04:11Sexton four seconds.
04:12They're all right there in the screen.
04:14What a battle.
04:15Yeah, shout out Christian Craig and the Quad Lock Honda who's in it as well.
04:19Now Tomek begins to go to work again on Anderson for the lead.
04:23Yeah, Tomek getting back into that groove.
04:26Maybe a little reset from that last race.
04:32And we knew coming into the Triple Crown that the likes of Anderson,
04:35we saw Prado the previous two,
04:37they would be tough in the shorter races.
04:39There you go.
04:39Not tough enough.
04:43Tomek's got the lead.
04:44Weiju asked me about that when we were on the track of qualifying practice today.
04:48Specifically going into that double.
04:50Are some guys going to break too hard?
04:52Is the bike going to get upset?
04:54And I said, man, you can make a lot of time up right there.
04:57Coming into that double as simple of a section as it found.
05:01And that was a perfect example of that.
05:03Eli Tomek with a great pass.
05:06And it's all salvaging positions for Tomek.
05:09He can't win the race with the 13th in race two.
05:12But he's climbing back up the order, salvaging points.
05:15Hunter Lawrence and Ken Rockson, they are fighting for the race win.
05:20Man, what a pass by Eli.
05:22He just goes in there with a ton of speed, loads the motorcycle up.
05:26Lawrence has got a line on Anderson.
05:29Same thing.
05:30What's happening is, I believe, right to the right-hand side of that double.
05:34It's a little bit smoother so they can drive through the face of that double,
05:38stay lower, scrub speed.
05:40And with that pass, Hunter now has the overall lead.
05:43Rockson needs to respond.
05:44And he is.
05:45Not quite.
05:47Anderson being tough with it on his teammate again.
05:51Got the twisted T-Suzuki and the progressive Suzuki.
05:53But that's the same operation.
05:56And Chase Sexton has caught the groove.
05:59Oh, this is going to shake things up for sure.
06:02Sexton is absolutely rolling.
06:04He's going to go the inside.
06:08Rockson.
06:09Side-by-side with Sexton in the loops.
06:11And Sexton completes the pass.
06:14What a quality pass.
06:15Great job, Chase.
06:16Oh, Rockson isn't able to triple out.
06:19And Webb's going to get him.
06:20And this all works to the advantage of Hunter Lawrence for the overall.
06:29And, wow, that last lap.
06:33Oh, here comes Sexton after Anderson.
06:36So costly from this turn all the way around.
06:39Rockson had a shot at the overall.
06:41He's lost spots.
06:43And, by the way, not only is Hunter Lawrence in position to win his first ever 450 Supercross,
06:50he could be the points leader by the end of the night.
06:54No surprise.
06:55He's been rock solid all season long.
06:59He has been.
07:00Rockson trying to come back on Webb.
07:03Halfway through this race.

07:44And if Webb can get Anderson and hold off Rockson, he could win the overall.

07:51Because Rockson is stalking.
07:53Oh, Kenny slips coming out of the corner.
07:55And then he can't triple.
07:56Here comes Sexton.
07:58This is unbelievable racing.
08:02Webb needs to pass Anderson.
08:04He is tied with Lawrence on points.
08:05He can gain one if he makes the pass.
08:08He's going for it.
08:10Cooper starting to turn down early.
08:13Gain that speed coming out of the corners.
08:15His track is playing right into his hand.
08:17And with that, Cooper Webb in position for the race win overall.
08:21And it's so often the way Cooper Webb does it.
08:30And this is why they call this guy the disruptor for years.
08:34Every time someone else seems to have it, Cooper Webb strikes.
08:38Rockson's not done with Anderson.
08:40Well, and he knew.
08:41He knew he's at the point of no return.
08:44It was time to get the job done.
08:46He showed us a little bit last week of the improvements that he had made.
08:50Now he's made even more coming in here to Houston.
08:54We talked about at the top of the show how he can make these big point gaps in one race.
08:59He could go from 24 points back to only 17 points back in one weekend.
09:06Yes, because Tomac had the bad second race.
09:08That helps Sexton having his problems tonight.
09:10A couple of mistakes.
09:12Sexton is six, working on Anderson.
09:14Now, Rockson, if he could get Webb, would take the overall.
09:17So it's not quite over.
09:20Battle's good.
09:20Yeah, not sure what happened here because how fast Sexton was going the beginning of this race.
09:26And then all of a sudden, it just, he made that one bobble in that rhythm section coming up.
09:31And then really hasn't been able to recover since then.
09:36Rockson is going after Webb.
09:38And it is for the overall win.
09:40If he passes him, they'd be tied.
09:46The tiebreaker is the better finish in this race.
09:48Rockson is not done.
09:51I go back to these days when these guys used to battle it out.
09:57Now, Mike, could you imagine if it came down to these two guys going for it?
10:01Talk about a rewind.
10:02We were kind of hoping for it when this race began, that we could get another classic Webb and Rockson.
10:08And a lot of them have taken place here in Texas.
10:10But it's usually the opposite.
10:12It's usually Webb stalking Rockson.
10:14Now it's the 94th turn, Will.
10:16Yeah, just to let you guys know, Cooper Webb is aware of the situation I just saw on his pit board there from his race mechanic.
10:23He said, stay P3 for the win.
10:25So he knows exactly what's going on right now.
10:27I mean, I'm going to tell you what, this guy, we've talked about it for so many years.
10:33I mean, three-time Supercross champ, Cooper Webb.
10:37The sense that he has from his competitors and what line they're going to take, he is so good at defending that to where the guys can't get by him.
10:45I think if Kenny wants to get by Coop, the best opportunity for that to happen is going to be the whoops section.
10:51Or could it come down to a mistake?
10:55This track has proven so difficult to nail every lap.
10:59And Rockson is closing again.
11:00Ah, we're getting into lappers, too.
11:03Oh, Kenny gets sideways.
11:05Mitchell Harrison here.
11:06They get by him.
11:09Tomac is gone with the race lead over Lawrence.
11:11Man, I'm going to tell you, Coop has Kenny right on the ropes.
11:15The gap is manageable right now, but if he's able to pull it out a little more, I think it's over.
11:23But if Kenny can keep it close, this thing's going to go down to the wire.
11:28And there you can see Webb, second on the all-time Triple Crown win list.
11:32It's a format that started in 2018, looking for his sixth Triple Crown win.
11:37And they are throwing everything at it.
11:40Kenny loses that rhythm lane right there.
11:44Man, he has got to stick with it.
11:46He's only got about two or three more laps.
11:49He's got to stay tough, grid it out.
11:52Now, Hunter Lawrence, he must know if he can get Tomac back.
11:56That would switch the overall win back into his favor.
12:00So he has every reason to go for it here with about two laps to go.
12:04Yeah, but I don't think that's going to happen.
12:07Because Eli wants to come out of here with the win.
12:09Give these guys a taste of, hey, I'm the same dude.
12:11But that won Anaheim won and won San Diego.
12:15And was on my way to doing well before I fell.
12:19And this is all about the mind, in my opinion.
12:22Not only to himself, but his competitors as well.
12:25Well, yeah, compare Tomac's performance tonight to last week.
12:27That's right.
12:28It's a big bounce back, even if the result doesn't show it.
12:30He was good last week, Tomac, but not as good as the first two rounds.
12:36He might not win the overall, but he is serving notice that he might still be the man in this series.
12:43But Ken Rockson.
12:45Kenny absolutely hanging with it.
12:47He's able to claw back.
12:49He lost some time that last lap.
12:52But he's staying with it.
12:54And I love to see it.
12:57Oh, it's a battle of wills now on maybe the most difficult track of the year.
13:02It's going to come down to the whoops section right here.
13:05If Kenny's able to get a few bike lengths closer, I think he goes full send mode through the whoops and goes up the inside and makes a move on Koop.

13:24Here it is, the whoops.
13:29Webb's clean.
13:30And you said at the start of this show, he has got to show something.
13:34He's got to start putting it together, Cooper Webb.
13:37And this is his moment to do it.
13:43And it has always been the book on the number one.
13:46When the back is against the wall, he performs his best.
13:49Rockson's still attacking, though.
13:51And it ain't by happenstance, and he's a three-time champion.
13:55Why?
13:56It's because of rides like this.
13:59There's his mechanic.
14:01And there it is.
14:02Individual race win and a huge bounce back for Tomac.
14:07Lawrence's second is not enough.
14:09Cooper Webb has won in Houston.
14:14Look at that emotion, Weege.
14:16There you go.
14:17We set it up at the top of the show, and you can see those fist pumps.
14:22He knows.
14:23Thirty-first career win, and every one of them seems big.
14:29Congratulations to him from Rockson.
14:32But that's as big as any of them have ever been.
14:35It's just, it's unbelievable, because he was off pace the first three rounds as far as his speed goes.
14:41And just to be able to make that adjustment within three weeks is unbelievable.
14:49And even though we have seen it literally 31 times, every time it happens, it's as dramatic as the first.

15:07But that is no space in our area, because if you've ever looked for the fact that you're going to live inamin

15:17And that's definitely a place.
