00:00We're really sympathetic as a government to the plight of junior doctors and all NHS workers who have been working in an institution that has been neglected and underfunded for over a decade now.
00:13But as a new government, we've put record investment into the National Health Service. We've seen waiting lists coming down month after month, 16,000 in the last month. And we've put investment in across the board to make sure that we give NHS workers a pay rise.
00:30We recognise there are other issues like training places. The Health Secretary has made an offer to the BME leadership about that. And our door remains open if they want to drop the strike action and come and have further talks.
00:43But I think most people in this country want to see all of us working together to turn around the neglect of the National Health Service, not these endless strikes which cause real harm for patients.
