00:00The junior doctors in the last pay deal received about a 28% pay increase over the last three years
00:07and so the health secretary has said that he can't go beyond the I think it's about a 5% pay offer
00:14that the government have made to the junior doctors but he does want to sit down and talk
00:19to the junior doctors about things like working conditions. We need to work together to get the
00:25NHS back on its feet. We've made some really good progress in the last 12 months with bringing
00:30down those hospital waiting lists. I don't think junior doctors want to see us going backwards
00:36on that progress and so it's really important that the government and all NHS staff work
00:42together so that we can deliver that really high quality patient care that people across
00:47the country want and deserve.
