00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Block, where today we're talking about the
00:10extraordinary Myers MK's LFG. A mix of Porsche 9 Series and Dune Buggy, created in close
00:18collaboration with two full Porsche. The vehicle was unveiled at the Monterey Car Week and is
00:25intended as a modern homage to the legendary BH winner from 1967. LG not only stands for a clear
00:32message, but also for a vehicle concept that is uncompromisingly designed for driving pleasure
00:38and adventure. The design was created by Freeman Thomas, who also designed the Audi TT and the
00:45Volkswagen New Beetle. The body is made entirely of carbon, which not only saves weight, but also
00:53gives the car a decidedly sporty appearance. Under the hood, depending on the configuration,
00:59is an air-cooled boxer engine with four valves from Toodle Porsche, which was already installed
01:04in the Xtreme 9 Series K. This is complemented by a sequential six-speed transmission and limited
01:10slip differentials on the front, center and rear axles, which ensure that the power is optimally
01:16transferred to the ground at all times. Dual adjustable suspension struts at each corner and
01:22chunky BF Goodrich all-terrain tires ensure maximum off-road capability. Despite this clear
01:29off-road focus, the LG offers an enclosed interior with air conditioning, which can be removed within
01:35two minutes to enjoy the classic buggy feeling.
01:38What is particularly appealing is that Meijer's, Manx & Tut Porsche want to offer their future
01:45customers exclusive driving events where the full potential of the vehicle can be exploited.
01:52Although no official price has been announced yet, insiders estimate it to be several hundred
01:57thousand euros, although it is probably worth expecting at least around 300,000 euros.
02:03Given that production is limited to 100 units and the fact that the first major outing is
02:10scheduled to take place in 2027 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Bear victory, the LG is less of
02:17an everyday means of transport and much more of a collector's item for enthusiasts with a thirst for
02:22adventure. Richard Tuthill himself describes the character of the car as playful and unique,
02:30but at the same time so robust that you could literally drive it to the moon and back.
02:37A car that combines fun and seriousness in an incomparable way.
