There were five changes to Dwight Yorke's T&T squad, but there was only one newcomer.

That newcomer is New Jersey native Roald Mitchell who is the newest striking option for the national team.

He may be young an inexperienced, but he has already overcome challenges in his career and is hoping to bang home the goals we need.

00:00My name is Roel Mitchell from Moncloon, New Jersey. I play for New York Red Bulls currently.
00:05I went to college at Wake Forest University and now I'm here in the beautiful country of Trinidad.
00:10I love to be here. My parents are from here so I couldn't ask for being a better place. I'm glad to be here.
00:15He's Jersey born but Roel Mitchell will be hoping to score goals for his father's home country of TNT.
00:21The 22-year-old missed over a year with an ACL injury but has made a strong return scoring nine goals for the New York Red Bulls' reserves.
00:30And his maiden call to represent TNT is a just reward for his resilience.
00:34I was very excited, you know. I mean, like I said, coming back from his injury, you know, I wasn't expecting a lot this year.
00:39I thought I was going to have a slower start but, you know, I think the staff here really believes in me and believes in my quality.
00:44And, yeah, I couldn't thank the staff even more, especially York. I know him from his history, you know,
00:51just trying to create more legacy and create more history for this country.
00:54This is only the second time the former Wake Forest striker has been to TNT
00:58but has quickly integrated into the camp and is looking forward to seeing the fans.
01:03It's been great vibes, great energy, great intensity. That's what I expected.
01:07And then going into these games, I don't expect any less.
01:10So I just expect the same intensity as going into training and into the games.
01:14It means a lot. I mean, I know the soccer culture here is really big.
01:17So playing in front of however many fans, I know it's going to be a lot on Thursday is going to mean a lot.
01:22It's going to be a lot of pressure.
01:24But, you know, I love to see fans and I love to interact with them as well.
01:28And asked what he can bring to the TNT setup, he gave a true striker's response.
01:33Hopefully, you can bring goals, celebrations and joy to the fans.
01:36You know, I'll try to bring as much as I could, but that's what I can do.
01:39My name is Roel Mitchell.
01:41I'm happy to be in trend at it.
01:42I'm happy to see you guys in the future in the stadium.
