Chairman of the Confederation of Regional Business Chambers, Vivek Charan, is of the opinion that a position of neutrality regarding the current US / Venezuela tensions is non-beneficial for this country and would actually be a position of beligerence toward the United States. Charan thinks that regime change in Venezuela is necessary and can be beneficial to all parties.

00:07If the sanctions drop, it opens up Venezuela.
00:10It opens up a pathway for them to rebuild their economy.
00:13It opens up a pathway for them to have better relations with CARICOM.
00:17Regime change is necessary for there to be, you know, I would say a change in tensions, a removal of the tensions.
00:28And to remove, let's say, a lot of the encumbrances and the barriers to trade and so on within the area.
00:38I can't see anyone saying CARICOM would be worse off if there was a regime change in Venezuela.
