00:00Well, the statements made by Prime Minister Pesad Pesasa in relation to Venezuela on Thursday have caused concern and spawned criticism by some,
00:09but not from the political leader of the Laventel Outreach for Vertical Enrichment, Lannock Smith.
00:16The Prime Minister's statement, and we endorse it entirely in terms of her position on Venezuela,
00:24in terms of her position with respect, of course, to school violence, but of course we have our own input that we would like to make.
00:35There is, of course, a proposal before the incident took place that triggered her concern in the press conference yesterday,
00:42and it is before her at this point in time.
00:45And in terms of his suggestion on dealing with school violence and bullying,
00:50Smith says parents of the perpetrators of these acts should not be held liable, but they should bear some responsibility.
00:59Yes, they must act, no, they must act in court, they must act in court, sit down in the courtroom,
01:04so that it takes away, it has economic implications, it has job implications, all of that for the parents,
01:11and that albatross that is hanging over your head certainly will make them pay more attention.
01:17And of course, it will get those delinquent parents involved in the whole process.
