00:00Hagen had an accident, but Mondo made him better.
00:03Here's a look at the brand new Mondo Batman the Animated Series Clayface 1-6 scale figure timed exclusive.
00:08Complete with swappable hands, portraits, and weapons, our massive Clayface 1-6 scale figure features semi-seamless joints with an articulated ratcheted inner skeleton.
00:35Restricted to 1,500 units, this exclusive edition also features a slew of amazing extras, including additional hands and portraits, the magnetic trapped Batman chest accessory, and the clay puddle display, which fits with all included portraits.
00:48What if he did a clay?
00:49Thankfully, though, Daggett wasn't the one that made him.
00:51Before, though, we get a closer look at the new Mondo Batman the Animated Series timed edition of Clayface.
00:56Yeah, I'd like to first back it up a bit and thank the folks over at Mondo that did provide this sample.
01:00Mondo, in fact, made two versions of Clayface available on their site, a timed edition that sold for $280, where the exclusive had unique accessories that weren't available with the regular.
01:10There was also, again, a regular version of Clayface that sold for $260.
01:14So the exclusive sold for $280, the regular for $260.
01:18Unfortunately, though, both of them sold out fast, real fast.
01:22Now, you can be notified by email.
01:24Perhaps down the road, Mondo may decide to release this guy again, and you can be notified when he does.
01:29He is a tall figure, though, considerably tall, as you'll see when we bring in the other Mondo Animated Series figures we've looked at in the past.
01:36But living for the now, living for the present, we're going to take the tape measure and see just how tall Hagen stands.
01:42And you'll see he's quite tall, 13 and a half centimeters, 13 and a half inches in height, working out to be a figure that's about 34 and a half centimeters tall.
01:51If we're looking at the heights of Hagen, and we do want to compare with the Caped Crusader, well, here's what the figure looks like with Mondo's Animated Series Batman.
01:57Batman stands 12 inches, Clayface is what, another quarter still, even when we bring in the Clown Prince of Crime, Joker.
02:04Now, Joker was a figure that was actually taller than Batman, but he's nowhere near the height of Clayface.
02:09Obviously, that's not going to change at all, either, when we bring in Joker's Pudding, Harley Quinn.
02:13However, this first, the figure does come include with a display stand, and quite a large display stand, too, to occupy the footprint space of Clayface.
02:20Now, the stand does have two parts.
02:21Of course, you have yourself the neck that just plugs into the actual base.
02:24The base comes out of the box like this, with a little slot there on the top, just by Batman's ears.
02:28And, of course, you take yourself the adjustable neck.
02:30The neck then plugs into that slot.
02:32I know we're kind of covering off things you guys already know for yourselves, but there's just slots in place.
02:37And then you've got yourself a waist clip.
02:39Normally, though, the waist clips would be more circular, but this one actually is more shaped like a triangle, almost essentially a triangle with the corners cut off.
02:46The idea with that, though, is it's supposed to fit, then, around Clayface's body.
02:49I would recommend, though, first, prying this away, like opening it up just a little bit, because you do want to make sure that you're getting it around Clayface's body.
02:57The one worry, though, that I have, and it hasn't been yet an issue I've faced, is that when you do get this around Clayface's body, you have to be careful, though, that it doesn't puncture into the plastic or that rubbery material that they're using for his torso.
03:09Even when you're kind of putting it around his waist like this, you can see, though, that they've put rubber caps or little end pieces just so that the actual wire, the metal piece, doesn't actually start to clip into the plastic.
03:21But even still, though, when you're putting this on display, my one worry really is, yes, it is going to be holding the weight of Clayface, and it holds it successfully.
03:29The one issue, though, I kind of have, though, is if you don't have it in the proper place, which I don't have it in the proper place, it starts, first of all, to kind of catch this area right around here.
03:38And this is all, by the way, a softer plastic.
03:41I don't want this to necessarily start to warp the plastic.
03:44I certainly don't want it to start puncturing marks in the actual torso area of the figure.
03:49The figure seems to stand fine on his own.
03:51Keeping in mind, though, he doesn't actually have any things on the ends of his arms, though.
03:54We will be changing that shortly.
03:55Moving now away from display stands, and now to a lot of mud.
03:58Again, the figure does have exclusive accessories, again, specific to this figure's release, and then he also has regular version accessories, which are essentially right over here.
04:06All the timed exclusives are here.
04:08The regular version accessories are right here.
04:10So you can kind of choose for yourself.
04:11If you can't get your hands on the exclusive, are you going to be missing out on any of the things that we're about to cover?
04:16First things first, though, and probably of the largest exclusive accessories, the figure does have his mud puddle.
04:22The mud puddle, though, would basically work with any one of the heads.
04:25So you see yourself quite a large ball joint there on the top.
04:27It doesn't have to even be the heads that are for this exclusive release.
04:31Let's just say, for example, you want to use this head.
04:33All of them have the exact same universally sized hole on the bottom.
04:37So all you really have to do is just attach it onto the mud puddle like that.
04:39You still retain some levels of possibility, but you can have yourself clay face in a puddle.
04:44One way to kind of really work with the idea that he has so many multiple heads like this is you could have your main clay face, your hero clay face, with the head that you want to use.
04:52And then just use the other puddle.
04:53Just use another head with the puddle that comes exclusive for this figure.
04:57And then you just have that displayed along with the figure as well.
05:00That's kind of cool.
05:01It's a fair bit of plastic, too.
05:03While the display base, though, is a hard plastic, all of the main head pieces, though, of clay face are a little bit more of a softer.
05:09There's a little more give to them.
05:11And well, again, we'll kind of cover off all of that.
05:13Now, the figure does also have a bit of a nod to the original Kenner clay face that he does have like the the bladed hand.
05:19This hand, though, I did notice getting out of the packaging.
05:22One of the blades, a couple, actually, these two blades are a little on the more warp side.
05:26I do actually love that they've added a reflective look to it.
05:29And again, it looks just exactly like the clay face.
05:31Clay face, I think, had like a ball mace in one hand, and then he sort of had this hand on the other side.
05:36I think that's a really cool nod that they threw that in there.
05:39Again, unfortunately, on mine, and it will likely be the case, I'm sure, with everybody that's picked up there,
05:43there's these little nails right here are a little on the more warp sides here.
05:46They're kind of bending off to the side, so I'll have to heat these up, maybe up in hot water,
05:49or might even not display the figure with that at all.
05:52Very cool looking hand, though.
05:54Something also that's cool, too, is that this clay face for the exclusive comes with the molded cowl of Batman
05:59that we see in the feet of clay.
06:02Batman's head, of course, is sticking out the top of Clayface's head.
06:04Really cool.
06:05I think that's a nice little nod.
06:06I love the fact that they've chosen to paint this.
06:09Now, again, like with these heads, all of them are pretty much just using, again,
06:12this clay face color, but I do actually like that with Clayface.
06:15His eyes are always known for being glowing and yellow,
06:18and I like that they've also done that with Batman's, too.
06:21There's no opposability necessarily on the heads.
06:23All of the heads' real opposability work with all the essentially attaching onto the ball joints here,
06:27or again, onto the pooled clay.
06:30Something also that's really neat, too, is that they also include the clay face
06:33that has the grappling line that shoots out the top of his head,
06:36and that gets accomplished by actually having two separate pieces.
06:39You have Clayface's head, obviously, in excruciating pain,
06:43and then there's the opening or exiting wound you can see there on the top
06:47with some splashing out clay effect,
06:48and then you've got the claw piece for, of course, the grapple gun
06:52that Batman uses to escape from Clayface,
06:54and how it essentially works is there's a hole on the inside like this,
06:57and there's a hole on the other.
06:58There's a circular peg on the end,
07:00and that just plugs in place just like that.
07:02You want to make sure, of course, when you're also getting that in,
07:05just holding it up to the light,
07:06there seems to be, like, there's a little indentation here.
07:10You just want to make sure you've got it lined up the right way.
07:12But yeah, that looks like it's just really neat.
07:14I mean, the idea of that shooting out the top,
07:17again, some may choose,
07:18maybe not necessarily want to get the Clayface that actually has that,
07:21but the fact that they actually include that as a reference to the original episode,
07:25I think that's really, really neat.
07:26Let's move those also off to the side.
07:28One last thing, though, that comes included with the exclusive timed edition,
07:31that he also has the emerging Caped Crusader from his chest.
07:35This is a really nice effect.
07:37Just to kind of bring in Batman here just for a second,
07:39show you guys the scaling of that.
07:41It's a little bit smaller, but not enough that it looks out of place.
07:44Batman, of course, is clawing, grasping for air,
07:47as he's trying to emerge from the front chest piece of Clayface.
07:49So instead of actually having to worry about this attaching onto his torso,
07:53like, how is this really going to work?
07:54What they've done instead is they've embedded in magnets.
07:57So it just essentially attaches onto his torso like that.
08:00How much harder could that really be?
08:02I mean, yes, because it's smaller like this,
08:04and because there's some additional texturing lines here,
08:07it doesn't quite look like it's the rest of his torso,
08:09but having even that as an accessory is such a neat looking touch.
08:13Again, having that just as magnets too.
08:15I mean, it's so much easier to worry about
08:17without having to peg that into his place
08:19or swapping out torso pieces or anything like that.
08:22Magnet's the best way to go.
08:23So those are all the accessories over here
08:25that, again, are for the exclusive edition.
08:27If we move now our focus over here,
08:29these are all the things that are exclusive,
08:31really even so much not exclusive,
08:33but these are all the ones that are part of the regular version of Clayface.
08:36First, you should get yourself the little jar of Renew U.
08:40Renew U from Daggett.
08:42Daggett doesn't actually, or the container doesn't actually open up.
08:44I think that would have been cool if they could have had the way to take the lid off
08:48so you could actually have seen some Renew U on the inside of the jar.
08:52To include that, though, still is a nice little touch.
08:54I'm actually surprised, though,
08:56that this gets included with the regular version of Clayface
08:58and not with the exclusive.
09:00Put that off to the side.
09:01What else do we have?
09:02The figure does have a whole bunch of different hands.
09:04Now, he has close fists right now.
09:06I have already taken the luxury of swapping out one of the hands,
09:09and they're easy to do.
09:09I'll show you guys that in a second.
09:11You get yourself a pair of close fists,
09:12all hard plastic here.
09:15You also get yourself a couple of gripping hands.
09:18Not that he necessarily has anything to grip.
09:20I guess you could take yourself the jar of Renew U
09:22and just kind of wedge that in between his hand like that
09:25so you can actually have him holding it.
09:27And he holds it really quite well, too.
09:29The figure does also come in clue with a couple of dynamic hands.
09:32Again, swapping these hands can be super easy to do.
09:34I know I keep showing you this.
09:36I keep talking about it, but I've yet to really show you.
09:38The figure does also have a claw hand.
09:41And all of these work with universally sized holes on the inside.
09:44So, again, you just remove the hands from the ends of these forms
09:46and swap them out there.
09:47It comes with also a couple of cinder block hands.
09:50Now, here's where we start to see a little more of a softer material being used.
09:54These have more of a squishier feel,
09:56and I don't feel like that's necessarily a bad thing at all
09:58that they're using more of a softer plastic for some of these.
10:01Clayface does have those seamless arms,
10:03which, again, kind of uses that same formula.
10:05And he also does the same thing with his torso, too.
10:08So, again, like he's got a couple of cinder blocks.
10:10Those are always really neat.
10:11He also gets the mace gun or the mace weapon as well.
10:15Now, the spikes themselves, even though, I mean, they're prickly,
10:18obviously, to put your finger across these.
10:20But the actual spikes, a little more softer plastic.
10:24Really nicely detailed.
10:25All of these accessories.
10:27I love that they've added all these additional,
10:29like little clay marks, like the clays overlapping one another.
10:32Some cell shading is also added in there as well for good measures.
10:36Really fun looking accessories.
10:37What else does he have?
10:38A big giant hook.
10:40The hook hand also just obviously swaps out with the hands that he currently has right now.
10:44Again, a little more of a softer plastic.
10:46Not a bad thing at all.
10:48These just, again, swap out.
10:49I know I keep saying the word swapping out, and I've yet to do any swapping out.
10:52Comes also included with a big spike.
10:54Spike is very much similar, though, to the individual bladed fingers.
10:58You get a little bit of the lighter coloring added in there as well for reflection.
11:02The darker shadowing on the one side.
11:05Somewhat similar.
11:05A little bit of a different color.
11:07It doesn't have as much of that lighter blue in there.
11:09It's kind of more of a light gray.
11:12But really, again, nice little accessories.
11:14The last thing that we'll have a look at before we do start swapping things out.
11:18I figure it has a big giant axe.
11:20Now, the axe, you can see, materializes, forms its way out from what's left of the clay.
11:25The clay, I think, is kind of interesting that it looks like it's a face.
11:28Eyes, maybe a bit of a mouth.
11:30It does actually kind of look like Clayface is angry just through his blade.
11:34The blade doesn't feel sharp, but it does feel certainly spiky on the ends.
11:38So just be careful of that.
11:40By the way, though, again, before we look at the heads,
11:42again, I keep saying all this time of swapping out the hands.
11:45To swap out the hands is just a case of holding onto the forearm, popping that off,
11:48find the hand that we want to use.
11:50You want to use the axe?
11:51So again, the axe will just plug onto the peg like that.
11:54Not hard at all.
11:55You want to do it on the other side too?
11:57Okay, we'll do it on the other side.
11:58We'll just pop that off.
11:59What do we want to use?
12:00Maybe we'll use one of the cinder blocks.
12:02We'll just use the blocked hands.
12:04And again, that just plugs in place.
12:06The pegs and the holes are so, I mean, they work so well with one another.
12:10Swapping out the hands.
12:11I never feel like I have to really struggle, really have to force to remove that,
12:14have to add any additional exerted force
12:17to get these properly popped back into the peg.
12:21Last things up for Clayface is some swappable heads.
12:24Now again, we've already kind of looked at two heads,
12:26being one that is resembling Batman,
12:28being one that of course has the grappling hook shooting out,
12:31shooting out the top of the head.
12:33That's really cool.
12:34Last things up though, the figure does have three swappable heads.
12:37Now this is just again for the standard version.
12:40You get the one that I think is actually coming out of the box with the figure,
12:43which is kind of just a regular, I don't want to say neutral expression,
12:46but certainly is more just the traditional Clayface.
12:49Then you also get a screaming Ghostface, Clayface head,
12:53which again does have really nicely colored teeth, top and the bottom,
12:57more of kind of a pastel yellow, matching that of course in the coloring of the eyes.
13:00I do like though that when it comes to the eyes, that they outline the eyes in black.
13:06Boy, that's a nice looking figure, a figure head.
13:08Now to swap out the head, this, I already taken the liberty of actually putting in the smiling face
13:12for the beginning of this review.
13:14But again, similar though to the hands, you're just going to go ahead and grab the head
13:17and pop it off the ball joint, just like that.
13:20The ball joint is the exact same size, obviously, as the puddle of clay.
13:24Take the head then you want to use and just plug it back onto the ball joint.
13:28It still retains some level of posability that we'll kind of talk more about in a moment.
13:32You can move the head, yeah, back and forth, up and down, no issues there at all.
13:35But having three sweet looking heads, I think for me as a fan of clay face,
13:41I probably will end up displaying this guy on the shelf with a smiling face.
13:44Definitely though my favorite of the three.
13:47These are all, by the way, harder plastic.
13:49You'll notice though when it comes to the hand attachments,
13:52the legs maybe a little bit also as well, but more so the head.
13:56They're a little more of a darker color than the main majority of his torso.
14:00The torso and his arms are actually using sort of an overlay of rubber plastic.
14:04Let's just move actually the puddle out of the way here for a second.
14:08So again, like his arms are seamless.
14:10His torso, and I'll show you guys also this as well.
14:13Let's take the arms off here.
14:15I just kind of want to swap them out to regular hands here.
14:18Just plug that back onto the peg.
14:19We'll do the same thing on the cinder block side.
14:22And we'll just kind of give him some dynamic hands,
14:24just so that they're out of the way.
14:25It's going to make things a little bit easier when it comes to the mobility of the figure.
14:28So clay face, again, we kind of looked at the head sculpt.
14:30The head is a little bit of a different color from the rest of his torso,
14:34but not to the point where it feels jarring or looks jarring.
14:37Now, one thing, though, that they've chosen to do with clay face
14:40is that they've covered over the arms.
14:42So the joint is still in there, but it's overlaid by the soft rubber plastic.
14:47It does give him at least a finished looking look.
14:51I'm generally one that I don't mind if they had just used a hinge joints
14:54or actually just elbow joints visible.
14:56But I do actually appreciate the fact that Mondo would have taken a time like this
14:59to cover over the arms like this.
15:02Now, you can still fully retain articulation.
15:04It's a case of just the bending at the elbows.
15:06And it does seem like he's got maybe a single hinge in the elbow.
15:09Even if, though, it folds a little bit right here,
15:11it does look like it would be like what the clay developed.
15:13Like clay just sort of settling on itself.
15:16The top of the torso, again, this is all very soft plastic,
15:20especially down below here in the torso.
15:22Is it a bad thing?
15:23Not necessarily.
15:24I feel like in a case like this, yes, I think I could have preferred
15:28to have this more of a harder plastic.
15:30But I also kind of have to keep in mind, too,
15:32for the size of what this figure is,
15:34this would have also increased the weight of him, too.
15:37Now, keep it in mind, too, like he's generally built very big,
15:40top very large in the torso, very small tree stump-sized legs.
15:45If you had swapped this out, for example, the softer plastic,
15:48the soft rubber, in favor of a hard plastic,
15:51you would have increased the weight of the figure.
15:53I think that would have added also stress then to his knees and his ankles.
15:56And also, if they had done the same here with his arms,
15:59I think you also would have increased the price of this figure.
16:02Selling, though, for $280, I think you could be easily expected to pay closer to $400
16:07if they swapped out the materials and use a harder plastic.
16:10In the end, though, I say this only more for,
16:13I just want the longevity of this figure still to be good down the road.
16:16Maybe, yes, it may not be a case where these would start to split over time.
16:20I mean, obviously, I've had figures where they haven't split.
16:22I've had some figures that do split.
16:24Mondo, again, like generally uses pretty good materials
16:26when it comes to the production of their figures.
16:28I don't think it's going to be an issue.
16:30And keeping in mind, too, you're not going to be putting necessarily him in dynamic poses.
16:34There's not much that you can really do with his arms or his torso
16:37where I feel like it's going to be adding stress to the materials that they decided to use.
16:41Clayface's body overall, though, again, like he's got a lot of good stuff going on here.
16:45Ripples and folds and all the things you'd expect Clayface to have.
16:48Lots of cool details added in there as well.
16:51I like, though, that all the crevices that they've done,
16:54they've sculpted and then finished it off with the brown.
16:56So it adds a little bit of level of detail to it.
16:59Clayface overall, again, like one of my favorite characters of all time,
17:03and especially the way that he was portrayed in the Batman animated series.
17:06Is this a true service to, I think, Clayface the character?
17:08Absolutely.
17:10Again, I would have, again, rather this been harder plastic,
17:13but I can certainly understand why they chose to go the route that they did
17:17to give them more of the seamless look.
17:19Now, for Clayface's articulation, we're going to run through this.
17:22Obviously, starting things first with his head, it's going to be on the ball joint.
17:25Despite having what would seem like a very self-contained head
17:29where you wouldn't really be able to move it all that much,
17:31the head does surprisingly move quite well.
17:33You can move the head up and down, and you can also, well,
17:36you can also move it back and forth.
17:37You could technically rotate it, but when you do rotate it here,
17:41let's just pick the figure up here.
17:42When you do rotate it, you do feel like this is rubbing against the plastic.
17:45But generally, I think for having, though, very close,
17:49he's got very little in the way of neck,
17:51Clayface's head surprisingly does move quite well.
17:55For his torso, what's interesting about his torso
17:57is there is actually a crunch.
17:59So when you take his torso, you can actually bend it all the way back,
18:03and you can actually see, too, on the inside how his body essentially works.
18:06When you obviously move it back like this,
18:08yes, you're going to see a big noticeable gap.
18:10I don't think most people are probably going to be displaying their figure like that,
18:13even if you just have it in its defaulted state,
18:15or just slightly further back from that.
18:17You don't see any of that.
18:19And of course, you can also move it quite a further forward, too.
18:22And normally, I would say, like,
18:24with a figure having so much heft in the top of his torso,
18:27and if this was harder plastic,
18:29I think he'd probably be more likely to fall forward.
18:31He seems to really be able to balance a lot of his weight quite well.
18:34Now, his waist, his torso, not only does move forward and back,
18:38but you can also move it back and forth this way as well.
18:41His arms do move forward and back.
18:43Those are separate, obviously.
18:46There's ratcheted joints there for the shoulders.
18:47He is noisy, but he's noisy for a reason.
18:51That's because, again, like, over the time,
18:52he's going to be able to maintain these joints,
18:54and they're not going to develop looseness.
18:56For his elbows, again, you've got an elbow bend.
18:59And it does seem possibly like he's even got a double hinge in the elbow
19:02rather than just the one,
19:04and you can move it back and forth that way.
19:05Obviously, the hands.
19:06We already know, like, the hands can rotate all the way around.
19:08You can hinge them back and forth.
19:10His lower torso.
19:11His lower torso doesn't do all that much.
19:13Most of the majority of what he's getting for articulation
19:15comes more so from the top.
19:17It doesn't feel, though,
19:18like he's got any posability point in his waist.
19:21Legs do split out.
19:23They don't move very far out,
19:25but I think they move far enough than what they need to do.
19:27I mean, obviously, Clayface, you're not going to be getting him in karate poses,
19:30but I think he has just the right posability that he needs.
19:33There's a little bit of a swivel there at the top of the thigh.
19:35The figure does also have a hinge in his knee,
19:37but there's not much of a hinge,
19:39and I don't think it necessarily needs to move any more than what he's moving right now.
19:42The foot does move back and forth.
19:44You can also move it up and down there as well.
19:46Technically, I suppose you could rotate it all the way around, too,
19:48but he has, I think, the posability a Clayface character needs to have.
19:52He doesn't necessarily need to go in any crazy-looking poses.
19:55What he really has more than anything else is shelf appeal.
19:58This is the kind of figure, though, that when you're looking at him,
20:01I've had more fun in, like, the last three and a half hours I've had this guy in the box
20:04just by mixing and matching the parts that he comes included with.
20:08Yes, the timed edition, the exclusive version,
20:10does have some fun little extra things that didn't have,
20:13wasn't available with the regular release,
20:14like, for example, the jettisoned grapple line from the top of Clayface's head.
20:18He does, of course, have also the puddle pool.
20:20Those are all fun things, but even, like, if you don't get your chance to grab the exclusive version,
20:25I think there's still mileage to be made for all just the regular things that have
20:28with the standard version of Clayface.
20:30Some swappable heads, and, like, all three of them,
20:32all three of the heads look fantastic,
20:35even though, like, this one has more of the angrier expression.
20:38I think, if anything, I probably will end up displaying Clayface on the shelf
20:40with a smiling face, as it's definitely my favorite of the three.
20:43Loads of hands to choose from, regular,
20:45whether you want to, again, just have regular hands,
20:47or you want to get a little crazier with Clayface,
20:49then, of course, you can bring in things like his axe,
20:51you can bring in things like, you know, the spike that he has,
20:53or even, again, like a reference to the original 80s toys,
20:56the original Kenner toys, for example.
20:59Lots of good stuff going on, a lot of good stuff.
21:0180s, I should really have said 90s,
21:03but a lot of good stuff, though, going on here for the Monoverlays of Clayface.
21:06He does, though, make up, certainly, for a much bigger-looking figure.
21:09I feel like he should be, as well.
21:10I think, scale-wise, he's pretty good scale in line with Batman.
21:14I mean, Batman, I think, like,
21:15if you'll go back and look at the original animated series episode of Feet of Clay,
21:18or any of the numerous appearances that Clayface has in the series,
21:21Clayface should be a lot bigger than Batman,
21:23and I think they fit him well.
21:25It's a great-looking figure.
21:26Again, the price, $280.
21:28$260 for the standard, $280 for the exclusive.
21:31It's not a bad price at all.
21:32If you were lucky, again, that's the hard thing.
21:35As soon as these things drop on Mondo's site, they sell out fast.
21:38First, Clayface, as soon as they announced that they were going to be doing a Clayface from the animated series,
21:43first, I said to myself,
21:44I've got to get my hands on a Clayface.
21:45Second of all, I said to myself,
21:47there's a good likelihood that this guy is going to sell extremely fast, and he did.
21:51You can only hope, though, that Mondo does decide to release this guy again,
21:54because, again, like, there's so much unique molding that went into Hagen
21:57that wasn't really available, like, for Batman or Joker.
22:00I mean, they can't really get much more mileage out of this mold
22:03other than just doing another Clayface,
22:04and I certainly hope that they do,
22:06so the collectors that missed their chance
22:08to get Matt Hagen the first time around
22:10can get their chance again to grab this guy
22:11and add him to their collection.
22:13Now, I do ask, as we wrap up the review here for the Mondo Clayface,
22:16that we do suspend some disbelief.
22:18Obviously, Batman's good, but he's not good enough to have
22:20two hands, obviously, to help him emerge
22:22from the chest cavity of Clayface,
22:24but then somehow have a third hand to shoot
22:26a grapple line out of the head of Hagen.
22:28I did want to make use, though, of some of the
22:30exclusive accessories as we wrap up this review.
22:32Those are actually two exclusive accessories,
22:35among also an alternate Batman head portrait.
22:38He also comes in clear with, obviously, the big pool of mud,
22:41which is also great, too, if you want to have the figure
22:43displayed with one of the alternate heads.
22:44I mean, there's only one ball joint on the top of his shoulders,
22:48yet, though, he has so many eligible contenders
22:50when it comes to different portraits.
22:52One kind of cool thing, though, about the exclusive,
22:54as I did say in this review,
22:55is you could use, then, one of the other heads
22:57that you're not currently occupying with a Clayface body,
22:59just attach it onto the mud puddle and have it displayed
23:02alongside the figure.
23:03There's a lot of good accessories to go around.
23:05Even if, though, you missed your chance to get
23:07the $280 exclusive version of Clayface,
23:10for spending $20 less and getting the $260,
23:13you're still getting quite a lot of hands,
23:15three different head portraits,
23:17not to mention, as well, the figure does also come
23:19included with a little jar of Renew You.
23:21The problem with that, though,
23:23even though I could say $260 for the regular,
23:25$280 for the exclusive.
23:27Either way, though, unfortunately,
23:28Clayface sold out really fast on Mondo's site.
23:31It seemed as almost as if,
23:32as soon as it dropped on their listings,
23:34he sold out in record time.
23:36Now, I can only hope, again, as I said in this review,
23:38that Mondo sees that and realizes
23:40that there's collectors that still want
23:42to get their hands on Clayface,
23:43that they make it available again.
23:45What I can always really say, too,
23:46is that you can go into the option
23:47of notify me when available.
23:50Put in your email, put in all your details,
23:51so that if in the off chance
23:53that Mondo does release Matt Hagen again,
23:56you can get your hands on Clayface
23:57and add this guy to your collection.
23:59Some of the things, though, for Clayface
24:01that I thought would bother me,
24:02like having the seamless arms
24:04and having generally a rubbery torso,
24:06bothers me less, actually,
24:08the more that I have this guy on display.
24:10Yes, the rubbery arms
24:11and kind of covering over the joints
24:13does then mean that there's no real way
24:15to access those joints
24:16if anything really happens to them.
24:18But you're not really going to be putting
24:20this guy in extreme poses anyways.
24:21With ratcheted joints also working
24:23with this figure,
24:24you know right away
24:25what you're able to move
24:26by the sounding that it makes.
24:28With the torso being also made
24:30of a softer material,
24:32again, it makes probably the most sense
24:33because, again,
24:33like not only had they used
24:35the harder plastic,
24:36would it have increased
24:36the weight of this figure
24:37and added more stress,
24:39unnecessary stress to the knees,
24:40to the ankles,
24:41but also, too,
24:42if they'd used hard plastic,
24:43the same kind of head,
24:44like the same kind of plastic
24:45as like his accessories,
24:47it would have also increased
24:48the price of this figure.
24:49You'd go then away
24:50from a $260 or $280 price,
24:53more probably closer
24:53to around $400.
24:55Still, though,
24:55I think it's definitely
24:56a well-worth figure.
24:57If you're not able to obviously
24:59get him on Mondo's website,
25:00if you're able to at least
25:01find him on aftermarkets
25:03like on eBay
25:03or some other sites
25:04that stock right now,
25:06the Mondo figure releases
25:07and you're a big fan of Clayface,
25:08it's definitely a recommended figure
25:09if you're able to get him.
25:11Now, again,
25:11a big thank you
25:12to the folks over at Mondo
25:13that did provide this sample.
25:14We had the chance today
25:15to have a look
25:15at the exclusive version
25:16of Clayface,
25:17which, again,
25:18is essentially the same figure.
25:20It's just going to have
25:20some accessories
25:21that are part of the exclusive
25:22and then obviously
25:24there are going to have
25:25accessories that are going
25:26to be for the exclusive
25:26and the regular version.
25:28What do you guys, though,
25:29think of Clayface?
25:29Let me know down below
25:30in the comments section.
25:31Definitely worth the pickup
25:32or do you think
25:33it's just too big?
25:34I mean, yes,
25:34it's one of the things, though,
25:35that Clayface,
25:36as a figure that towers
25:37over 30 centimeters in height,
25:39he's going to, yes,
25:39be asking a little bit
25:40more shelf space,
25:42but if you have the space,
25:43I definitely think
25:44it's worth the allocation
25:45for this figure.
25:46If you guys did enjoy
25:47this video,
25:47you can certainly do it
25:48a solid throw to like.
25:49If you guys want to
25:49stick around for more,
25:50so I hope so.
25:52We're going to have
25:52some more videos
25:53obviously coming your way
25:53for the rest of this week,
25:54so I hope you guys
25:55are going to be coming back
25:56for those.
25:56As always,
25:57thanks for watching.
25:58See you guys next time.
25:59We'll see you next time.
26:04You
