00:02:46build a lead as large as seven in that first half they did it defensively by being active and we talked
00:02:54about the energy needed to win on the road and this group did it it was bogey here we're going to see
00:02:59some offensive clips able to find the rhythm from the three-point line John Collins some space two feet in the paint

00:03:44in Phoenix from a pure score to running the point guard being a facilitator being the second option
00:03:51Kevin Durant was here at times but yet he still just continues to put work in and put up buckets and
00:03:58virtually impossible to stop I think the key in the second half as he was six for 13 Devin was in the
00:04:05first to make him a little bit less efficient and work for those points
00:04:11well you see the numbers he's been averaging 31 a game in this young season had only 18 the last time

00:57:32stanford with jim jackson here in phoenix and jim your initial thoughts on what happened
00:57:37well if the game was just a half up i love the clippers right right yeah it would be up 51 48 but
00:57:43unfortunately it's two halves to the equation and didn't bring the same kind of effort i thought
00:57:47defensively in that third quarter in particular but on a positive side i did believe that the time
00:57:53that cam christie was in the game yep it was all positive this young man earned his way he played
00:57:59extremely hard on the defensive end took what the all i mean defense gave him and i thought created an
00:58:05opportunity of trust from the coaching staff and his teammates and tyler has said he's looking for
00:58:11rotations looking for chemistry and so cam christie may have played his way into that well i mean it's
00:58:16one game one game and he had an opportunity to show in the meat of the game how much of a value add he
00:58:22could be on the defensive end and offensively so it's the steps you take yep and you got it and the
00:58:28thing i love about it is that he was ready he stayed ready so his name was called he was able to
00:58:34perform but i think the mindset was i'm gonna come in and make an impact defensively and then the
00:58:39offense came around and once the sweat start to pour a little bit teammates saw that he was rolling
00:58:45he was able to get into a shot to make some positive things happen two for three from three
00:58:51five from seven uh five or seven from the floor overall for 17 points so 17 points with seven shots
00:58:57that kind of efficiency the coaches noticed you mentioned the effort on the defense event so
00:59:02that's the bright side but you mentioned that that third quarter 31 to eight run
00:59:06to start that third quarter and the combination of devin booker and jaylen green was a lot to deal
00:59:10with it was a lot and i say this and i said this during the broadcast that even though the suns were
00:59:16eight for eight from behind the three-point line a few of those shots were contested okay especially with
00:59:21royce o'neill and it was dj contesting shots but when you started to get that rhythm and energy it didn't
00:59:28matter who was in front of them and that's the unfortunate part in that third quarter 40 to 23
00:59:33by the suns in that third quarter yep and jaylen green his first game back man he didn't look rusty at
00:59:40all well but that's this is why especially when you're dealing with a hamstring you're very cautious
00:59:45and you're hesitant to throw somebody out there unless they're ready because you understand this is that
00:59:51it takes so much time to heal but it's easy for you to rupture it and injure it again and he looked
00:59:57for that and i thought the way that phoenix was
