Part 1:
According to The Detroit Free Press:
October 1st, 2024, Detroit-based Henry Ford Health finalized its joint venture Monday with Ascension Michigan, becoming a single, $12 billion organization under the Henry Ford name as it competes in an increasingly consolidated health care market in Michigan.

This marks another example in Ascension's recent strategy involving selling off (or giving it away for pennies on the dollar) assets. There is another side to this matter though and it involves how the healthcare provider conducts its business (the wrong way).

Pump And Dumps: Ascension regularly dives into a market it has no experience in, buys up infrastructure, dumps patients, bills deceased patients, covers up million dollar misdiagnoses, runs afoul of local laws and disrespects its employees etc... After being called out for crimes and deciding it has reached the end of the road, it will sell the assets and exit the market place.

Ascension's problems are somewhat self perpetuating. 1) They are endemically corrupt from the start. 2) They give jobs, training and opportunities to Nurses & Doctors who really have no business pushing a mop or a broom in a hospital. 3) These staff recognize the corruption of the environment they thrive in and realize they are free to mimic their corporate masters, scheming up small time scams that pale in comparison to what the big boys are doing but wreck irreparable havoc in average people's lives, taking profits & cutting corners where possible. 3) When they get into trouble, these underlings will go their big brother and seek protection from responsibility and accountability, which Ascension is all too willing to provide. This is what I saw first hand as a patient and customer when I was misdiagnosed repeatedly after going to an Ascension ER in Birmingham, Alabama.

After instances of the above are replicated, amplified and magnified to a large degree, a hospital rebrand or selloff serves to help people forget any offenses or negative service that may have occurred, they simply tell the new customers (patients) "that was to old owners fault, we are under new management now". And of course the old owners are a couple states away: out of sight, out of mind.

In this latest Michigan deal, 17,000 Ascension employees will be retained and transition to Henry Ford Health, bringing its total workforce to about 50,000 people. And with the addition of Ascension's properties, Henry Ford now operates 550 sites of care. Not a word was spoken of much of the debt, risk, liability and problems Ascension faced in recent years in the state of Michigan. And the big question? Why exactly did Ascension decided to build up assets and leave a very lucrative pure growth market?

Henry Ford Health will soon either have to defend the bad actors and practices groomed under Ascension's tenure or undertake a widespread house cleaning of corrupt elements.

00:10All right, as another Ascension series of hospitals rebrands, hopes are high that people
00:17will simply forget the past troubles and looting adventures of Ascension and its staff, sins
00:25and past transgressions magically washed away and vanished.
00:30The types of offenses that would land average people out on the street in prison for years
00:36or bankrupted in a civil lawsuit, Ascension is able to bob and weave and use legal and
00:45business maneuvering and tactics to evade responsibility.
00:49They're truly an example of an organization that is too big to fail.
00:53And this is part of a greater strategy recently.
00:58This news was out October 1st, 2024.
01:02Henry Ford Health finalizes Ascension deal, becoming Michigan's second largest health system.
01:08According to the Detroit Free Press, Detroit-based Henry Ford Health finalized its joint venture
01:15Monday with Ascension, Michigan, becoming a single $12 billion organization under the Henry
01:23Ford name.
01:25As a majority owner of the newly combined system, Henry Ford Health maintains an 80% governance
01:32and ownership stake, while St. Louis-based Ascension controls 20%.
01:37The names of some of the hospitals are going to change.
01:41You're going to see new livery, possibly new logos, colors.
01:46But a key factor to consider here, much of the same staff that worked under Ascension are
01:53going to be retained in the move.
01:55And this is key to understanding the structure of Ascension's corruption apparatus.
02:02Ascension does business in the wrong way.
02:04The corporate side is the real problem here.
02:08But they go into local areas and they give opportunities, jobs, and training to future nurses
02:18and doctors who really have no right to be pushing a broom or a mop in a hospital.
02:24These staff follow what they see, the greater corrupt actors, and they mimic these traits.
02:33And then when they get into trouble for cutting corners or engaging in fraud, they simply go
02:39to Ascension.
02:41And with their size and clout, they will just tell the people and problems to go away and
02:47vanish.
02:48So the fact that the staff are going to stay in the transition, that this is a problem.
02:54Because Harry Ford Health is taking on a lot of liability, risk, debt, and assuming to back
03:03up the corrupt elements, side effects, and baggage of Ascension's business efforts.
03:10So like all of these instances where Ascension sells these hospitals that come under new management,
03:16you need to look for a key sequence of events.
03:21The new owner will have to undertake a massive house cleaning of the corruption, or they're
03:28going to stay steadfast and defend it.
03:33Something to watch out for.
03:35The article says about 17,000 Ascension employees are transitioning to Henry Ford Health, bringing
03:44its total workforce to about 50,000 people.
03:46And with the addition of Ascension's properties, Henry Ford now operates 550 sites of care.
03:54And it's obvious in the words of the representatives how eager they are to open a new chapter, turn
04:01over a new leaf, start anew, and put the past behind them.
04:07CEO and President Bob Rennie said,
04:10Today is day one of the brand new, vastly expanded Henry Ford Health Organization, made possible by a joint venture
04:17with our wonderful partners from Ascension.
04:19The Detroit Free Press asks,
04:22Do you expect there will be layoffs associated with us as you look for efficiencies, including in administrative positions?
04:29And the answer was,
04:31No, I do not keep in mind Ascension is a national company, so a lot of those administrators
04:35that you're referring to were in their corporate offices and will continue working for Ascension
04:41nationally.
04:42The health system also told the Free Press in a statement that almost all of the Ascension
04:48Michigan employees agreed to stay on with Henry Ford through the transition.
04:54The Detroit Free Press asked,
04:57What does this deal do financially for Henry Ford Health?
05:00How does it affect the bottom line?
05:03Does it affect the debt ratio?
05:05And CEO Bob Rennie answered,
05:07It doesn't increase the debt ratio.
05:09I think some of these answers are not exactly 100% accurate.
05:14There's a question asked why Ascension has systematically sold off so much of its business
05:24in so many states in the USA.
05:27And if you look deeper below the surface, you'll see that there are many corruption factors involved.
05:36And there is a lot of debt, as well as outstanding legal and civil matters in all levels of the court system.
05:44You know,
05:45You know,
05:45The
