A Rio Claro businessman was shot dead on Monday morning.

According to police reports, 58 year-old Sylvan Boodan of Tabaquite Road, Rio Claro, a maintenance contractor, was killed around 8:30am.

00:14Reports suggest Boudin was seen talking to a man while standing next to his car along the San Pedro Road.
00:21Boudin was seen opening the rear left door and showed the suspect a document.
00:25The suspect then took out a firearm and shot Boudin once to the head before escaping on foot.
00:31The TDPS was contacted and officers responded to the scene.
00:35Boudin was pronounced dead at the scene and an autopsy ordered as investigations into his killing continue.
00:42In early August 2025, residents of Bethlehem Road, Bethel,
00:47noticed a stench coming from a small two-story abandoned house in the area.
00:51Around 5.45 p.m. yesterday, a 35-year-old team of workers who lives in the area
00:57went to investigate the source of the foul smell.
01:00She entered the abandoned house and observed a badly decomposed body lying outside the bathroom area.
01:06She raised an alarm and contacted the Silvan police.
01:10An autopsy is to be performed to determine the cause of death.

01:19According to police reports, around 11 a.m., three female employees, two cashiers and a manager
01:24of the Kwesi Discount Mini-Mart along the southern main road in California,
01:29Kufa, were at work when the crime occurred.
01:33The victim said five suspects, all wearing black hijabs, two carrying firearms,
01:38one with a cutlass and one with a hammer, entered the business place and announced a robbery.
01:43They proceeded to empty the cash registers, took a cell phone,
01:46they went to the manager's office and they took $6,000 in cash.
01:51The manager was able to press a panic button installed in the store,
01:54which sounded an alarm, causing the thieves to free the scene in a nearby Silva Nissan Note.
