00:00Here comes Andy Pandy
00:30Andy Pandy had found something strange in his special cupboard.
00:39It was a huge onion.
00:42But Andy didn't know that.
00:44He'd never seen anything like it before and wondered what it could be.
00:48It smelled rather odd,
00:49but Andy found that he could pull off the brown skin and look inside.
00:55Was it something he could eat?
00:56The more Andy cut into the strange object, the more he was sniffing.
01:02And now he was crying, even though he was perfectly happy.
01:06Teddy had come to visit Andy,
01:09and he was very sad to see him crying.
01:12He asked what was wrong.
01:14But Andy was crying so much he couldn't answer.
01:17Teddy went to fetch help.
01:20Looby-loo was busy making soup.
01:22When Teddy came to call,
01:24he told her Andy Pandy was crying,
01:27and Looby told Teddy to cheer Andy up by making him laugh.
01:31She lent him her feather duster so that he could tickle Andy.
01:36Andy was still crying, though he didn't know why,
01:39and he was still trying to find out what was inside the huge onion.
01:45Teddy tickled Andy as hard as he could,
01:47but Andy didn't seem to notice.
01:49However much Teddy tickled Andy,
01:52he kept on sniffing and crying.
01:56While Teddy went off to think of another way to make him laugh,
02:00Andy went to ask Looby-loo if she knew what the strange object was
02:03that he'd found in his cupboard.
02:07Looby had never seen such a thing before.
02:11Andy asked her to try to find what was inside.
02:13Now Looby-loo was crying.
02:20Andy wanted to cheer her up,
02:22but as soon as he got near the onion,
02:24he started crying again.
02:27When Teddy came to see if Andy was visiting Looby,
02:30he saw them both crying.
02:32So he'd have to make them both laugh.
02:39But nothing would stop Andy and Looby crying.
02:44While Teddy went away to think of another trick
02:46that might cheer them up,
02:48Andy and Looby decided to take the onion out to the green
02:51and ask their friends if they knew what it was
02:54and why they couldn't stop crying.
02:57Tiffo was having a walk when he heard the sound of sniffing.
03:02When he saw Andy and Looby sniffing and crying,
03:05he ran off to tell their friends.
03:08Missy Hissy had already heard the sniffing and crying,
03:11and so had all been.
03:12They all wanted to cheer Andy and Looby up,
03:15but how?
03:18Teddy asked them to help him,
03:20and everyone set off to try and make Andy and Looby laugh.
03:24Teddy was sure his new trick would make Andy and Looby laugh.
03:29He watched Teddy sit down in a bucket of water,
03:33but still they didn't laugh.
03:35Tiffo thought his tricks would cheer up Andy and Looby,
03:39but they didn't.
03:42Now it was Orby's turn.
03:45Surely that would make Andy and Looby laugh,
03:48but it didn't.
03:51Now everyone wanted to know about the strange onion.
03:54When Andy said it might be something to eat,
03:58Teddy asked to try it for himself.
04:01Now everyone was crying.
04:05Bilbo had heard all this sniffing and crying
04:07and asked what was wrong,
04:09but nobody could tell him.
04:12Bilbo had seen the onion.
04:14Now he knew why everyone was in tears.
04:18He told them that it was the smell that came from the onion
04:21when they cut into it that was making them cry.
04:24As soon as they finished cutting the onion
04:26and started cooking it,
04:28everyone would stop crying.
04:30Looby said she'd take the onion home right away
04:32and put it into her pot
04:34and make onion soup.
04:37Bilbo was right.
04:39As soon as Looby put the slices of onion into her soup,
04:43there were no more tears.
04:45Andy Pandy thought Looby's soup was delicious
04:47and Teddy thought he'd like a little more pepper,
04:51but he poured so much pepper it made him sneeze.
04:56At last Andy and Looby were laughing
04:59and so was Teddy.
05:01Andy, Teddy too,
05:05playing in the garden every day.
05:09Making things is so much fun.
05:13Here comes Andy Pandy.
