00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:15Today, we're talking about the brand new Peugeot E208 GTI.
00:18The highly anticipated comeback of the legendary GTI series from Peugeot.
00:24Small, fast and equipped with real racing genes.
00:27The E208 GTI is no ordinary city car, but an electric quartering machine that makes it
00:33clear with its snappy appearance that it is based on the iconic 205 GTI.
00:39The visual and technical appeal leaves no doubt about that.
00:45The E208 GTI sits a full 3 cm lower than the standard model and is 5.6 cm wider at the
00:51front and 2.7 cm wider at the rear.
00:57In addition, there are sporty highlights such as a striking roof spoiler, a boldly designed
01:01diffuser at the rear as well as red accents, Alcantara and carbon in the interior, which
01:06immediately create a sporty flair.
01:09The flat bottom steering wheel with GTA logo and the seat design with retro pattern are
01:14deliberately reminiscent of the historic 205 GTI.
01:20Even the rims pay homage to the classic with the added advantage that they can cool the
01:23brakes efficiently.
01:26Under the hood, or in the case of the electric car, in the drive system, the E208 GTI boasts
01:31impressive performance data.
01:35Approximately 284 horsepower and a maximum torque of 345 N speak for themselves.
01:43The sprint to 100 km per hour is achieved in just 5.7 seconds.
01:49A standard limited slip differential ensures even more driving dynamics.
01:53A clear statement in the class of small cars, especially in the electric segment.
01:58The battery of the new GTI has a capacity of 54 kWh and, according to the manufacturer, enables
02:05a range of up to 350 km.
02:09Of course, this is based on realistic everyday conditions, not at full throttle or on the
02:13racetrack.
02:15At a fast charging station with a charging capacity of 100 kV, it should be possible to
02:20increase the charge level from 10 to 80% within 30 minutes.
02:26Peugeot is still keeping quiet about the price and market launch.
02:30But anyone who knows the history and meaning of the GTI abbreviation knows that the weight
02:34will be worth it.
