Der GWM Ora 07 GT bringt eine Mischung aus Elektropower und sportlichem Design auf die Straße. Mit 408 PS und 680 Newtonmetern Drehmoment sprintet der China-Stromer in nur 4,5 Sekunden auf 100 Stundenkilometer. Sein markantes Fließheck-CoupĂ©-Design macht ihn zu einem echten Hingucker. Dabei stehen zwei BatteriegrĂ¶ĂŸen zur Auswahl: Die 67-Kilowattstunden-Variante fĂŒr 440 Kilometer Reichweite und die 86-Kilowattstunden-Batterie mit bis zu 520 Kilometern.

Der Innenraum ĂŒberzeugt mit hochwertigen Materialien, einer schwebenden Mittelkonsole und einem 12,3-Zoll-Touchscreen. Dazu gibt’s jede Menge Komfort wie Massagesitze, ein Head-up-Display und eine hochwertige Soundanlage. Trotz Allradantrieb und sportlicher Performance liegt der Einstiegspreis bei 42.000 Euro, die GT-Version kostet rund 53.500 Euro.

Das einzige Manko? Laden geht nur mit 88 kW, wĂ€hrend einige Konkurrenten auf 800-Volt-Technologie setzen. Trotzdem bleibt der Ora 07 GT ein interessanter Herausforderer in der Elektro-Mittelklasse. Mehr Infos gibt’s im Video!

00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog about the GWM-Ora 07 GT.
00:08Just a few years ago, it seemed as if Chinese automakers were conquering the European market
00:13at full throttle. But some plans have since changed. Great War Motor announced that it
00:19would close its European headquarters in Munich, which only opened in 2021. European
00:24operations will be managed from China in the future. The exception, however, is Aura, whose
00:30sales have been taken over by the Emil Frey Group. This means that the brand will continue to be
00:35present for existing and future customers. Following the compact GWM-Ora Nu 3, the larger
00:42GWM-Oran Nu 07 model was launched in 2024. A four-door hatchback coupe with a length of 4.9 meters.
00:49It is offered in three trim levels with two battery sizes and two power variants.
00:57The entry-level version starts at around €42,000. Particularly striking is the distinctive design,
01:05which is not based on classic models. The front with the oval headlights and the roof
01:10that slopes far back give the model a retro-futuristic look.
01:14The Aura 07's main competitor is the Hyundai Ioniq 6, which has almost identical dimensions but a
01:22smaller battery and less power, and is at least €2,000 more expensive.
01:29One advantage of the Korean model is its 800-volt electrical system,
01:33which enables faster charging. The Aura 07, on the other hand, relies on 400-volt technology,
01:40which limits its charging power to a maximum of 88 kW. However, software updates are expected to
01:47improve this. Technically, the Aura 07 is based on the platform of the shorter Aura 03,
01:53which is also used for the new iMini. The base version has 204 horsepower and front-wheel drive,
02:00powered by a 67 kW battery that should enable a range of up to 440 kilometers.
02:05The more powerful GT Vion relies on two electric motors with a combined 408 horsepower and all-wheel
02:14drive. The larger 86 kW battery should enable a range of around 520 kilometers.
02:23A strong selling point of the Aura 07 is its extensive equipment.
02:27In addition to a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty and an 8-year battery warranty of up to 160,000
02:35kilometers, numerous assistance features are standard.
02:41These include a voice assistant that adapts to the driver and a parking
02:44assistant that will soon be able to park automatically via app.
02:49Turning and cross-traffic assistance are also available for increased safety.
02:52Depending on the model version, the Aura 07 offers up to 19-inch alloy wheels,
02:59heated and cooled massage seats, a head-up display, a sound system with 11 speakers,
03:04and a large glass roof that extends to the rear wing.
03:09The trunk holds between 340 and over 1,000 liters, depending on the seating configuration.
03:16Inside, Aura relies on a distinctive design with a floating center console that houses several
03:21control elements. A 12.3-inch touchscreen handles most functions and can be customized in several
03:28colors to match the music playback. The materials used are vegan and available in black or brown.
03:38Thanks to the 2.9 meters wheelbase, LeGroom is generous.
03:43User reviews describe the build quality and sound insulation as high quality.
03:47Even the basic version with front-wheel drive delivers decent performance.
03:53But the highlight is the Aura 07 GT.
03:56It starts at around €53,500 and, with 408 horsepower and 680 Nm of torque,
04:03offers a high level of performance that puts it in the league of much more expensive sports GTs.
04:10Thanks to a red button on the steering wheel, full power can be accessed,
04:14enabling the sprint from 0 to 100 km per hour in 4.5 seconds, accompanied by a synthetic engine sound.
04:22The handling benefits from the battery's low center of gravity, the long wheelbase,
04:26and 6 driving modes that enable precise handling.
04:30The direct steering also contributes to the driving pleasure,
04:33without excessive intervention by electronic control systems.
