00:00Welcome to the video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today we're talking about the brand new Shang-Chi H5 SUV.
00:07The first model of the new fifth car brand from Huawei.
00:11The Shang-Chi brand is the latest project of the HEMA Alliance Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance,
00:16in which Huawei holds the reins.
00:19While previous brands such as Edo, Luxi, Stellato and Maxtro tend to serve the premium or even luxury segment,
00:26Shang-Chi is targeting young buyers and is deliberately positioning itself as an entry-level brand with an attractive price-performance ratio.
00:35The Shang-Chi H5 is set to hit the market in September and has now been officially confirmed as part of the homologation process by the Chinese Ministry of Industry.
00:44At the same time, the manufacturer has released further technical details.
00:49The SUV will be available in two versions, as a fully electric version BFI and as an AF with range extender.
00:56According to the CLC Cycle, the all-electric version is expected to offer a range of around 655 kilometers.
01:05The AF version combines an electric motor with a 1L5 petrol engine and thus achieves an impressive range of around 1,300 kilometers.
01:13Both versions rely on proven components from the CER group and battery technology from CATEL.
01:22The BEV VION offers two power options, each with just one electric motor.
01:27One version delivers 204 horsepower in combination with an LFP battery.
01:32The other has an output of 180 kilowatts, also around 204 horsepower, and uses an NMC battery.
01:41More precise information on the capacity in kilowatt hours or ampere hours has not yet been published.
01:47The AF version uses the same 204 horsepower electric motor and supplements it with a 70 kilowatts petrol engine as a range extender.
01:55Huawei also relies on high-tech when it comes to assistance systems.
02:01The Shang-Ghi H5 is equipped with the ADS-4 driver assistance system, which uses, among other things, a radar system above the windshield and processes data from numerous other sensors.
02:11In terms of size, the Shang-Ghi H5 is in the mid-range SUV range, with a length of 4.8 meters, a width of 1.9 meters, a height of 1.7 meters and a wheelbase of 2.8 meters.
02:27The vehicle offers ample space for five people.
02:33Visually, the vehicle remains true to the modern, clear design of the Huawei brands, and the first official images have already been released.
02:41The fact that the manufacturer has a young target group in mind is not only evident in the technology and design, but also in the price.
02:49The Shang-Ghi H5 is expected to cost around 20,000 US dollars, that's the equivalent of around 19,000 euros.
02:57For a modern, well-equipped electric or hybrid vehicle with Huawei technology, that's an extremely attractive entry-level price.
03:04Incidentally, Shang-Ghi is currently just a phonetic working title.
03:08An official English brand name is expected to follow later this year.
