00:00Welcome to the new video from the Auto Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:04Today, we're all about the brand new Edo M7 crossover model, which Huawei and Sares officially unveiled in China.
00:13The new large SUV with air range extender technology is based on the well-known design concept of the Edo M8
00:19and is a breath of fresh air for the model series, whose sales figures have recently been declining.
00:25The new Edo M7 is expected to be available on the Chinese market from September 2025.
00:31Later on, it is also conceivable that it will be exported under the Zaris brand name.
00:37Visually, the new Edo M7 is based on the so-called Interstellar Matrix design language, which was already used on the M8.
00:46The front section is closed with striking sword-shaped headlights and a trapezoidal air intake.
00:54Other design elements such as retractable door handles, multi-spoke chrome trim strips and a continuous taillight underline the modern look.
01:06Black roof pillars and roof ring, as well as a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor, indicate that Huawei will integrate its advanced driver assistance system ADS-4 with functions such as collision avoidance at all speeds, parking assistance and automatic navigation through roundabouts.
01:20A new body color called Coral Red further expands the range.
01:30Although the exact dimensions of the new Edo M7 have not yet been announced, it is very likely that the dimensions will be based on those of the previous model.
01:37The latter measures around 5 meters in length, almost 2 meters in width and around 1.8 meters in height with a wheelbase of around 3 meters.
01:49This makes the vehicle a real space miracle in the large crossover SUV segment.
01:54In terms of technology, the Edo M7 once again relies on an ARF system that combines an electric motor with a small combustion engine to extend the range.
02:04The all-wheel drive version offers a peak output of 533 horsepower and uses a battery with a capacity of between 37 and 53 kWh.
02:16Like the M8, it is expected to use a 1.0 liter F turbocharged gasoline engine with an output of 160 horsepower as a range extender.
02:24The entry-level version is planned to feature pure rear-wheel drive with an electric motor that delivers 309 horsepower.
02:33This should allow the vehicle to offer impressive performance despite its size, without compromising on everyday usability.
02:41The price of the new Edo M7 will probably be within the familiar range, i.e. between around 30,000 euros and 40,000 euros.
02:49This means that the model will remain attractive to many buyers despite its high-tech features and generous dimensions.
02:57It is still unclear whether and when the new M7 will also be released in Europe.
03:02However, the previous generation is already being sold outside of China under the name Zier 7, which increases the chances of an international launch.
