00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:03Today we're talking about the revised Honda CR-V Hybrid for the 2026 model year,
00:08which is now available for the first time as a robust Trailsport variant.
00:13With the CR-V Trailsport, Honda is launching its first hybrid model in this off-road capable trim level,
00:20offering an interesting update for one of the most popular compact SUVs ever.
00:24Not only has the CR-V been in the top 10 list for three years straight,
00:30but it is also the best-selling Honda model in the USA.
00:34There are several new features for the 2026 model year,
00:38most notably the introduction of the Trailsport version.
00:43Unlike the recently introduced Passport Trailsport, which features revised suspension components,
00:49underbody protection, distinctive tow eyes, and chunky tires,
00:53the CR-V Trailsport offers no technical off-road modifications.
00:59Instead, Honda is opting for a visually tweaked and slightly improved setup.
01:05The CR-V now rides on Continental Cross-Contact all-terrain tires,
01:09which are said to offer better grip on loose surfaces than the standard tires.
01:15Additionally, exclusive 18-inch gray rims with recessed valves are installed to better protect them from damage off-road.
01:23Visually, the Trailsport stands out from the other variants with orange emblems,
01:28glossy black door handles, window moldings, and a black rear spoiler.
01:34At the rear, there is a silver trim strip that visually harmonizes with the suggested underbody protection at the front.
01:40The ash-green metallic paint color, first introduced on the Passport, is also available.
01:48The CR-V Trailsport is powered exclusively by the well-known hybrid engine with approximately 204 horsepower.
01:54The all-wheel-drive technology has been revised to improve traction, especially at low speeds below 14 kilometers per hour.
02:05The system detects wheel slip under braking and then specifically directs the drive power to the wheels with the most grip.
02:12Since this applies to all-wheel-drive hybrid models,
02:15the off-road tires are the only distinguishing feature in terms of driving dynamics on the Trailsport.
02:22Inside, the Trailsport remains the same as the sporty base model, the CR-V Sport.
02:28The seats are made of fabric,
02:30and Honda emphasizes that this is the first CR-V to offer both fabric upholstery and a power tailgate.
02:35The front headrests feature embroidered Trailsport logos, matching the standard all-weather floor mats.
02:45Although the CV lacks amber daytime running lights like the Passport Trailsport,
02:50the interior does feature ambient lighting.
02:54A panoramic sunroof, a heated steering wheel, and heated front seats are also standard.
03:01The infotainment system has also been upgraded.
03:05The Trailsport features a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8-speaker, 320-watt audio system.
03:13A clear improvement over the 6-speaker system in the Sport model.
03:20All CR-V variants from 2026 onward will benefit from revised multimedia equipment.
03:27The entry-level 60 version replaces the old 7-inch display with a new 9-inch touchscreen
03:33that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
03:38A wireless smartphone charging pad is now also standard.
03:42Higher trim levels such as the EX-L, Sport L, Trailsport, and Sport Touring
03:47also receive the new digital cockpit with a 10.2-inch screen diagonal.
03:51The top-of-the-line Sport Touring model also features an integrated Google operating system
03:58for the first time.
04:00This allows Google Maps, Google Assistant, and other apps to be used directly via the system
04:05without the need to connect a smartphone.
04:07The Google Play Store is also included, allowing additional applications to be downloaded directly
04:14to the vehicle.
04:15The Sport Touring variant also offers an individual driving mode with individually configurable
04:21driving settings.
04:23Honda has not yet officially announced prices, but it is assumed that the base version with
04:28a combustion engine starts at around €30,000.
04:33The hybrid variants should be around €40,000.
04:37The new models should be in dealerships soon.
