00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog.
00:12Today we're talking about the brand new Kawasaki Z900 and Z900 SE from the 2025 model year.
00:20Before we go into detail, don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss any exciting information about the latest motorcycles.
00:26Kawasaki has announced a comprehensive overhaul for the best-selling model in its class in 2025, but in the spirit of a gentle evolution rather than a drastic revolution.
00:41The design remains in the popular Tsugomi style and has been refined in places to emphasize the striking look.
00:48Metal parts and side panels made of brushed aluminum enhance the aesthetics.
00:52The front is now more compact and the iconic Z taillight has been replaced by a modern LED taillight, giving the bike a futuristic touch.
01:03Under the hood, the powerful 49cc re-engine, known for its throaty character, remains.
01:10With a new camshaft profile, Kawasaki has tuned the engine for a more rev-happy ride and stronger pulling power in the lower rev range.
01:17The engine delivers an impressive 124 horsepower and produces a whopping 97.8 Nm of torque.
01:27The Z900 has been electronically upgraded.
01:31Ride-by-wire makes its debut and ensures that the throttle valve system is electronically controlled and the AQ optimally supplies the fuel-air mixture for every situation.
01:40The result, excellent responsiveness and, almost as important, a 16% reduction in fuel consumption.
01:50The Z900 now uses just 4.8 L per 100 km and emits 117 grams of CO2 per km.
01:58A new airbox is also intended to ensure a more present intake noise.
02:04The ergonomics have also been addressed.
02:07Kawasaki has optimized the frame, in particular the stiffening behind the steering head and around the swingarm mount.
02:14The new aluminum fat-tip handlebar improves rigidity and the rear frame is now flatter, which offers the seat more padding and the rider more comfort.
02:22The seating position is now shifted slightly forward, which should promote more precise handling and a better feel for the front tire.
02:34The 2025 Z900 also comes with a flatter seat design and two seat heights.
02:40Standard at 830 mm and optional at 810 mm.
02:44The slightly higher seat height is particularly advantageous for taller riders.
02:51The braking system has been improved and is equipped with radially mounted four-piston brake calipers that act on the 300 mm twin discs.
03:01In combination with the new Dunlop Sport MXQ5 tires and the improved ABS, which now takes into account the vehicle's lean angle and acceleration,
03:09the rider can expect precise and consistent braking.
03:14The Z900 is slightly heavier than its predecessor.
03:18The standard model weighs 213 kg, the SE variant 214 kg.
03:25In return, the 17-liter fuel tank now offers a longer range.
03:29The Z900 has also been upgraded with new electronic features.
03:35KCMF Kawasaki Cornering Management Function enables controlled cornering by adjusting braking force and engine power.
03:41The already familiar sport, road and rain riding modes have been supplemented by an individual rider mode.
03:50In addition, four traction control levels are available and for the first time the quick shifter can be used from 1500 revolutions per minute including a blipper function.
03:58Cruise control is now also on board.
04:04The fully digital 5-inch TFT display can even show turn-by-turn navigation in combination with the Ritology app and offers a variety of display options, including a display of the current lean angle.
04:14The SE variant will also be retained in 2025 and stands out with additional Brembo components such as M432 monoblock brake calipers and an oil S640 shock absorber.
04:27The two-tone leather seat and the USB-C port in the cockpit are also standard on the SE version.
04:37Three-tone combinations will be available from the start of the season.
04:42The Z900 comes in metallic spark black or candy lime green, among others, while the SE is in metallic graphite gray.
04:49The prices are still unconfirmed, but should remain close to those of the previous model, which currently costs from €11,299 in Austria and the SE version from €12,899.
