00:00Hello there, good morning. Although a mild start to the day, it is going to be quite
00:05wet in places this morning. That's all thanks to heavy rain skirting its way across the
00:09UK due to a cold front and an area of low pressure towards the northwest. So some heavy
00:14rain initially pushing into Scotland, northwest England and also parts of Wales. So this is
00:20where it's going to be fairly wet this morning. But you'll notice this rain does actually
00:24move quite quickly southeastwards across the UK. So much of it will have cleared the southeast
00:29by this afternoon. We're not totally going to escape the rain though. Still plenty of
00:33showers pushing into Scotland, Northern Ireland and at times across northern parts of England
00:38and northwest Wales. Quite blustery in places and some of these showers will be heavy with
00:43the potential for some hail and thunder. Towards the southern half of the UK, once that rain
00:48clears in the morning, it should be mostly dry with some sunshine and outside of the breeze
00:53as well, temperatures still pushing into the low 20s. So feeling fairly pleasant here.
00:57The temperature's more towards average across the north.
01:01Then to finish off the day, there will still be some showers lingering around across the north,
01:06but most of these will ease overnight. The winds will lighten away. Plenty of clear skies,
01:11so that means it's going to be turning chilly with some mist and fog in places.
01:16Now some mist and fog across England and Wales, but eventually starting to turn wet and windy
01:20once again towards the far northwest of Scotland. So not seeing those conditions here,
01:25but elsewhere temperatures mostly in the high single figures. And you'll certainly notice
01:30the different feel in the air first thing on Wednesday after the mild start this morning.
01:35Actually tomorrow morning, some areas will be five to seven degrees lower than what they
01:39were to start the day today. So it should be a mostly brighter start into tomorrow. Some
01:45mist and fog will be around, though it should clear fairly quickly. Remaining dry for many areas
01:50with some sunshine, though into the afternoon, it may start to cloud over just a little bit more
01:54with a chance of showers across parts of England and Wales. Notice towards the northwest though,
02:00eventually turning quite wet and windy here. And we've still got that north-south split in
02:04temperatures as well towards the north, more closer to average for this point in the year. But
02:09towards the south into the high teens, possibly the low 20s once again, so above average for this
02:13point in the year. Now towards the northwest, turning very wet and windy here. In fact,
02:19the winds could turn quite strong into the afternoon. A chance we could see some gales,
02:24if not severe gales, towards the Western Isles and northwest of Scotland. Wind speeds potentially
02:29reaching 60 to 70 miles per hour in some isolated spots of northwest Scotland. Not only this,
02:35but the rain that starts to move through later on Wednesday does linger for quite a lot of the day
02:41through Thursday as well. This front a lot slower than the front that's moving through today.
02:46So some areas are going to see some quite strong winds. Other areas are going to see quite a lot
02:50of rainfall. So there is a chance that we could see some weather warnings in places. So make sure
02:55to stay up to date with your latest weather forecast. And of course, you can do that right here on
03:00YouTube.
