00:00Welcome to the video from the Car Magazine Tuning Bog.
00:02Today we're talking about the Alpine Armoring Condor.
00:06A vehicle that sits somewhere between a luxury SUV, military technology, and a heavy truck.
00:12The Condor is anything but ordinary.
00:16It's based on the Ford F600 Heavy Duty,
00:18which has been transformed into an armored high-end machine by the American company Alpine Armoring.
00:24The look alone makes it clear that this is no production model.
00:28The body is painted in BMW's chalk gray paint.
00:32The headlights are also very reminiscent of the Mercedes G-Class.
00:36A combination of subtle premium design and brutal functionality.
00:40The Condor is powered by a 6.7-liter V8 turbodiesel that delivers 330 horsepower.
00:48The maximum torque is an impressive 106 Nm.
00:52However, the additional weight of the armor is likely to have a noticeable impact on performance.
00:57A 6-speed automatic transmission distributes the power to all four wheels.
01:01The basis remains the robust F600 chassis.
01:05The armor is anything but a gimmick.
01:08Alpine Armoring has upgraded the vehicle to Alpine Level A9C and B6 Plus Protection.
01:15This means protection against assault rifles, grenades, and explosive devices
01:18through the use of tested ballistic steel and bulletproof glass.
01:22Even the fuel tank and battery are protected.
01:26There is also an anti-sabotage exhaust system, a 360-degrees surveillance system, and an optional PA and siren system.
01:34Despite all the protective measures, luxury is not neglected.
01:37The interior features almost Maybach-like equipment.
01:44Cream gray leather seats, a six-seater layout in a 2-plus-2 style, two electrically adjustable rear seats,
01:50insulation against heat and noise, ambient lighting, two panoramic roofs with electric blinds,
01:55a starry sky in the headliner and fine wood on the floor provide a contrast to the Marshall exterior.
02:00In terms of size, the Condor is even bigger.
02:06At 6.1 meters long, 2.7 meters wide and 2.4 meters high, it towers over many small vans.
02:14The wheelbase measures around 3.7 meters.
02:18The weight is an incredible 8.7 tons.
02:21So it's no wonder that Alpine has installed a reinforced military chassis.
02:25There are also HD military rims with round flat tires that remain roadworthy even if damaged.
02:33The Condor is aimed at people who need in-compromising safety, but don't want to compromise on luxury or comfort.
02:41It won't be cheap.
02:43The base price of the F600 is around €69,000.
02:48With full armor and special equipment, however, the final price is likely to be well into the six-figure range.
02:55As always, you can find the link to read the article in the video description.
