00:04Today it's all about the new Kia iV9 Nightfall Edition,
00:07which not only looks impressive but also impresses with its increased performance.
00:12With the Nightfall Edition, Kia is launching an interesting addition to its top-of-the-line EV9 model,
00:18a fully electric SUV with three Rosa seats.
00:22This isn't just an equipment package with black decorative wheels,
00:26but a model that is also noticeably faster on the road.
00:30The Nightfall Edition is based on the EV9 land equipment line
00:34and adopts the so-called boost mode from the GT-Line version.
00:39This briefly increases torque from 600 to 700 Nm.
00:45Power remains the same at 384 horsepower,
00:49but the sprint from 0 to 100 kmph now takes a fleet 4.5 seconds.
00:55Quite impressive for a vehicle with the Kia logo,
00:58which can easily accommodate a family with children and luggage.
01:03Visually, the Night Edition stands out with high-gloss black accents that run across the entire vehicle.
01:10The whole thing is complemented by new 20-inch black rims.
01:14Also exclusive is the new Road Rider brown paint color,
01:18which Kia curiously omitted from the press photos.
01:21The interior is presented entirely in black,
01:25in contrast to the otherwise two-tone interiors of the EV9 land models,
01:30and also features a special seat design.
01:33There is also an important technical update.
01:36Starting with the 2026 model year,
01:38all EV9s will feature the so-called North American Charging Standard Charging Port,
01:43similar to the one used by Tesla.
01:45An adapter for using CCS charging stations is available as an option.
01:51The EV9 for the U.S. market will be produced at Kia's plant in the state of Georgia,
01:56which means it is currently eligible for a tax incentive of around €6,900.
02:01Prices for the 2026 models, including the Nightfall Edition, have not yet been announced.
02:10However, it is hoped that they will be in line with previous versions,
02:14as production takes place locally.
