00:00the pits and he's at Porsche indeed I'm in the pits uh next to Roman Demas uh was just back from
00:06his stint a really relatively short stint Roman so can you explain that well actually uh unfortunately
00:13we had a puncture with Mark Lieb uh two hours ago and so Neil was not ready and so Mark has to
00:21continue we put again a new set but he was nearly driving you know too much too much driving time
00:28so and I'm the only one who is able to jump on his seat without losing time so it's why we swapped
00:33with Neil I kept the towers of Mark Lieb who were already two stints jump on the car and we didn't
00:40lose time in the pit and I was able to continue the story and now that it was a big repair with
00:47the wall we take the opportunity finally to change the towers because there were three and a half stints
00:51so it was time to change but it was okay it was cool and when you're not really prepared for
00:56for getting in the car is it something special for you as a driver I mean when you're not really
01:01ready to take the wheel I know I was not at all I was in bed because uh Mark drove just after me
01:08so I went to bed and they came say hey wake up yeah you have to go back so now I hope I will sleep
01:15that's why I saw you were pretty sleepy thank you very much and about the strategy uh for the end of
01:21the race uh do you know do you have a clue about the strategy well so far uh we have we are small
01:27always small delay you know like the puncture like the wheel nurse like uh we try we drive but
01:33they are quick but it's still eight hour to go thank you very much I was asleep that's the best
01:39excuse I've heard from a racing driver I was asleep yeah I wonder how long that's going to last
01:44as an excuse in terms of validity interesting to see that Porsche having those issues um we thought
01:50that it would be them responding to the slow zone taking the opportunity on that 10 lap shorter stint
01:55to uh to get this stop done and it makes absolute sense rather slow zone out there to get into the
02:00pits and randomize your net loss but um yeah not like them to be not quite with it you know normally your
02:07next driver is ready in the garage stood there throughout the stints in case there's an issue with the
02:11driver that's got into the car uh as a team manager you're there trying to manage that all the time
02:16you're aware that the drivers need sleep but equally you can have someone get ill while they're in the
02:22car um so yeah not a surprising one there from Porsche so uh we're coming through the slow zone now and
02:31we'll get released when we pass this green light nope that's where there was probably a white line
02:36and the exit to the slow zone well it looked as though they were pretty quick just didn't react
02:41really did it not in the same way as the lmp2 car did you know those two cars on pace are would
02:47accelerate in a very similar way you could argue that's an lmp2 car in front of it and the class
02:52is different but then we've already made the point that the lmp2 doesn't really get away from the gte pro
02:57and acceleration that well no absolutely you know the the gte um the gte cars in a straight line
03:03um are every bit as quick as the uh as the lmp2s so it's very interesting to see how those passes get
03:11made as we see the number two porsche i think that's the number two coming past um some nice
03:17shots from the pits of some female mechanics uh working through the ganassi guy is interesting they've
03:23got an awful lot of female mechanics on those teams so it's not just female racing drivers
03:27um lots of technicians engineers and of course lena gade um the engineer on audi number seven
03:33yep trendsetter i think well lena gade inspired a lot of people in 2011 with that crushing victory
03:40on the three peugeos i'm reminded about that one as well by pinky i was talking about safety in
03:45numbers he said it's not always true le mans 2011 proves the point very good point indeed audi they were
03:52able to cut the mustard with the french trio and uh yeah when you got lena gade in your arsenal you've
03:58got a good chance yeah they're the very different set of circumstances really these guys now have the
04:05opportunity to go and try and break the car and when we've had a season of reliability issues uh it's uh
04:12it is different you know the toyotas have the choice to go and send one car i don't think we'll see
04:18that happen for at least a couple of hours but in a couple of hours time i wouldn't be surprised to
04:23see them turn around and say right let's send it send him up the road let's see if we can break them
04:28and you might see uh the porsche number two and either the five or the six really go for it and
04:34see what happens you know they are here for a world championship crown this is a double points round so
04:39you don't want to lose that but equally this is le mans this is the one this is the headlines yeah
04:46is a victory at le mans worth more than the world endurance championship i think it is still probably
04:52i think it is still as much as the world endurance championship would like us to say uh it's very much
04:58similar sort of trope no le mans 24 hours that's the one everybody talks about that's the one everybody
05:03wants to win and that's the one that's going to get your car sales sorted well he's going to have a
05:07a bit of an embarrassment when he watches the footage back later i can't believe you caught me
05:10with my mouth open and everything absolutely that for though that's going to be a car that's going
05:16to be the golf racing boys sorry they are nuts they're absolutely crazy based in milton keynes and uh
05:23those guys um yeah a group of individuals and and characters that's that's what you love though you
05:30love a team to show their character i mean this is a very human sport perhaps more than in other forms
05:36of motor racing i mean when would you see clowning around like that in a formula one pit when it
05:40rains and floods other than that they'd get fired if they got caught on television doing exactly you
05:45know at le mans that's just keeping you awake that's keeping the spirits up it's all part of it
05:49absolutely and in fairness to the golf racing guys they're having a fantastic run the number 86 porsche
05:54in the gtm class mike wainwright the amateur driver on board currently running fifth in class and they're
06:00only three laps back on the class leader so still all to play for and they they're still chasing a podium
06:06and they've got a very good chance of getting there as well i'm not saying that the uh three
06:10ferraris and the other porsche in front of them are likely to break down but this is gtm and uh
06:14the attrition rate tends to strike in this last quarter of the race in gtm quite harshly
06:19so there's an opportunity there for the golf racing machine i love being on board with this ford gt let's
06:24listen
06:32that's the sound of a thoroughbred racing car yeah the v6 turbocharged ford ecoboost engine
06:38sounds absolutely amazing as they go down the horse on straight as he changes up into top gear there
06:43well it looks and sounds the part doesn't it i mean we all we're all nine-year-old boys to a certain
06:49extent in our mind we love these pin-up cars and that ford is going to be a pin-up for a long long
06:54time it's the new generation of poster car yeah you know the start of their two-year program um which
07:00i'm sure will be extended after the end of 2017 when ford see the value that they get out of the world
07:04endurance championship um and their program in america uh but yeah the guaranteed two-year program
07:10for that ford gt and nice to actually see one of the road cars here it's one of the few cars
07:15that has been allowed to race before the road car was produced um there are other manufacturers
07:21who have asked for waivers in the gte class that aren't here um but ultimately that car
07:27uh is based on the ford gt road car the ford gt road car i believe will be on sale before the end of
07:32the year i don't know how many they're going to sell but all the other manufacturers agreeing to
07:36to bring ford back they were willing to sign off uh this waiver to to get it in early so i think
07:42everybody wanted to see the 50th anniversary uh night of the 66 ford gt le mans victory
07:49and that decision is paying them back in spades the attention that is being given on this race from
07:54ford fans from motor racing fans in general this is what put the chevrolet corvette out of the race
07:59about half an hour ago bang what game was a big impact wasn't it he um tommy tommy well lucky that
08:07that it glanced as it did uh he would like to have gone about 10 yards to the right and glanced up
08:13the barrier and might still be in the race au revoir monsieur unfortunately for tommy milner his race
08:19and the entire 64 crew are out the 63 crew are still very much in it though uh they are running in eighth
08:24position at the moment trying to close up on johnny adam in the aston martin number 97 the gap uh between
08:30jan magnusen and the 63 corvette and the race leader is still only three laps considering that
08:35they're in eighth place three laps is not much with eight hours to go they've got a chance you never
08:40know anything can happen and they've still got a good chance of a podium absolutely
08:46the manitou trying to rebuild the tire stay but tommy million knocked down and they won't release
08:51that's all the number 35 alpine that's david cheng at the wheel is he cheng it's penchia teaching at
09:00the wheel wow he's gone in hard uh that's a surprise he'll be able to get that car reversed back um and
09:08out of the wall whether he'll be able to drive it anywhere afterwards that's the big that the exit of
09:13turd rouge so i think it is yeah one two three ten and eleven let's oh no it's one of the chicane it's
09:19the first chicane so he's dropped it on the way into the first chicane oh the car's really loose
09:23really loose and he's hit the wall on the outside he's gone straight on and across the car won't
09:27turn the car won't turn that was because he was locked up i think oh nelson that could so easily
09:33have been avoided i think he he locked up and probably well if if there was a failure call it would have
09:38been caused by hitting the curb with lock on um well he hit that at a very high speed considering he was
09:45still slowing down it went straight across the chicane and the car wouldn't slow down it
09:49wouldn't turn i think this might be game over as well yeah i suspect with how hard that has hit
09:57that wall it may have done a bit of tub damage um yeah the suspension mounts um are glued into
10:03the side of the tub the chassis could well be destroyed underneath there's a chance that it will
10:07have damaged those pickup points if it hasn't i know that those guys have got corners built up ready
10:11to put on a new nose a new corner and on its way but once he's got that car back which he can do he
10:18can drive it back from there well for the moment that will promote uh kira ladijin in the smp you can
10:26see look the tire marks across the gravel yeah and then on the track that's why the car wasn't turning
10:31the tire tracks the whole way if he'd come off the brakes and released he probably would have got that in
10:35either that or the car would have gyrated and maybe tack the wall with the back here we go again let's
10:40listen too late on the brakes no there was some rear locking going on there as he was coming down the
10:49gearbox you could see the the car started to move from the back and i think he wasn't expecting that
10:55a braking at about the right point but just as he was coming down the box the back moving and
11:02straight to the scene of the accident and he's a frustrated man you could see him gesticulating to
11:05the marshals yeah i think i think they're going to need to get him a pull out of the wall um because
11:11it's because he's gone into that loose that loose shale on the outside there the speedy hit the wall
11:17the speedy hit the wall though the damage he's created and the force i can't see them getting that
11:21car back out uh would you have said that when mike rockenfella hit the audi in 2007 good point good
11:29point these cars are very very taken well yeah good point well taken you'd be very surprised how
11:34strong these cars are just going to ride on board again or is this the sister car this is the sister
11:39car yeah i wouldn't have expected that either and audi pulled it off yeah i mean i know these
11:44guys aren't out of damage then they can they can do it all the teams have complete suspension corners
11:49built up ready to drop on they're set up exactly as the car was at the start of the race so they can
11:54just literally unbolt the corner and put the put the new corner on anthony drabe down in the pits
12:04speaking about crashes uh obviously we've seen the alpine and we've seen as well tommy tommy milner
12:10we are very happy that you are safe and uh very uh in shape really so what exactly happened
12:18uh well i lost i lost the rear of the car going into one and couldn't get it back um just thankful
12:27to be in this corvette you know we've seen some really big accidents over the years here um and
12:33always drivers always walking away so feel very fortunate that i'm in a very safe car but really
12:38feel bad for the guys i mean didn't have the fastest car but you know it's it's always a challenge to
12:43finish the race here at le mans and you know who knows what's what will happen for the rest of the
12:48race so i just got a little bit just a little bit too too fast into one i guess there we had just
12:54taken some wing out of the car but i don't know so it's it's a bit bumpy in one i just just made a
12:59mistake really it's all what's just what it comes down to so i just feel bad from all my crew guys and
13:05a lot of work for them before they can all finish packing up and stuff like that but uh
13:10still have our teammates in the race the 63 car they're they're going pretty well so
13:15just got to keep your nose clean for this race man and you know we've done that in the past but
13:20not this year it's not the first time we see uh crashes uh in the morning so maybe the the
13:24temperatures as well can can have a an importance yeah i mean i think i think in our case we we just
13:31made some setup changes there to try and find some more speed and just went a little bit too far
13:36probably yeah thank you very much nelson banciatici shouting at the marshals put the car down on the
13:42floor put it down he and i are gesticulating in exactly the same way he needed to be put down
13:47on the not the not the shale he needed to be put down about 10 yards further up to be able to get
13:53that car moving he's going to get try and get it going but i suspect he's going to have no traction on
13:58that shale they've put him down on and therefore he's not going to be able to get the car back on
14:01back on i would hope they'll move him forward he's still in a place of safety he's still behind
14:06that wall uh you know there's no reason to not put him down further up so marshall's ripping bits
14:12off for him which is what he'll have wanted nelson slams the door shut well fine if you're not going
14:16to help me bang yeah that's a very very very frustrated frenchman and totally totally understanding
14:24that one but look at the wheel look it's up in the air it is but had he been put down slightly further
14:31he's not going to be able to get out of that they've really not helped him there at all absolutely he
14:34needed to be put down 10 yards further up you can see the flat spot on the tire there though oh
14:40that's a corker um they're gonna well they think he's out of the race don't they they clearly car and
14:46he can he can bring that car forwards but um it's it's very strange to see that they're kind of
14:54they're choosing to end his race
14:58anthony dreve tells us it's very reminiscent of an audi incident a few years ago benoit trellieu i think
15:05it was i think he's right uh very similarly but uh yeah the marshall's doing their absolute best these
15:10guys are here is right and and they do have to use their their judgment to to in
15:16each case and if you're looking at that car you would say no that game over going anywhere but
15:21then they're not mechanics they're not thinking in the mindset of a team mechanic he just needs
15:24the opportunity to try and get that car going the ignition is on i suspect the engine is actually
15:29running um but we will not be able to get traction from where he is to drive that car forward uh onto the
15:37track nelson needs to open the door calm down talk to one of the marshals and say look do you think you
15:43could just pick the car up again and move me back onto a bit of tarmac could you please just give me
15:48a chance here you may not think this car can be fixed but look at these guys give me a shot these
15:54guys will be a superhuman force to get me back out on that pits and look the team are just so frustrated
15:59they're probably going through exactly the same emotions as nelson is in the car these guys can do
16:05wonders with these cars i've seen uh i've seen tubs that uh will probably not have turned in another lap if
16:11you'd have thought about it and then they've been repaired in about 40 minutes gone back out and
16:15taken a fairly decent top 10 finish in a motor race so i can see where the frustration has crept in there
16:21at the uh bc uh sorry the uh backseat dc racing alpine squad but the number 25 is uh in the wars uh 35
16:30sorry is in the wars at the side of the track the car is slipping down the order to what is now sixth
16:35position the ladijin smp racing car is up to fourth the stracker is up to fifth panciatici at the side
16:42of the circuit gesticulating wildly put me down on the ground not on the shale the thing that you can't
16:49forget is that they're here for a world championship you know they're chasing a world championship points
16:55double points here so a retirement here is massive you spend the rest of the the year chasing it you're on
17:01the back foot from there so he can just get out and scoop up two five ten fifteen points that's massive
17:08for him especially when we got so long to go seven hours and 45 minutes which is so so so competitive
17:15this year we've got you know a whole weck race plus an hour and 45 minutes a grand prix distance then
17:21effectively to go anything can happen in that time from nelson panciatici's point of view
17:26this isn't over yet if he can't get it home it's not over yet no so well let's see how that one
17:32develops um back to the race at the front 24 seconds separating stefan sarac kazuki nakijima he's giving
17:38it on the uh porsche number two you can see how how broken he is he's going to get out if he doesn't
17:46oh talk it talk it no yeah as long as he doesn't go more than five no that's the steering wheel no it's
17:52not it is you can't go more than five meters from the car but he's otherwise it's a retirement he has
17:58he's got the toolkit out good boy now have a look at it you can see what he can do some uh sleeping
18:06yes around the uh yes it's you we're watching yes it's you doesn't want to look up and see us
18:12yes it's you we're watching nelson now what's he doing what's nelson doing he's gone to he's going to
18:20try and take the whole nose section off now that's not a bad idea that's not a bad idea because
18:24they've got a spare nose in the garage and thinking about it that's sensible because a lot of the
18:29problem he's going to be in that nose section so if he can detach the nose from the rest of the tub
18:35and drive it home very very slowly he might be all right oh fire by collars has uh finally expired
18:42let go we saw earlier in the week but that's an oil fire from a turbo so um yeah they need to get to
18:50that simon is now get out get out get out your car's on fire get the extinguishers quick yeah he
18:56hasn't pulled over nearer this car doesn't seems to be on fire every time we see it yeah um they've
19:01struggled simon grabbing an extinguisher himself he's going to go and put the fire out just smack the
19:06marshall with the extinguisher but simon's a lovely guy he's the nicest guy you could you could possibly meet
19:11he's just so so calm and collected and considered and he feels so privileged to be racing in the lmp uh
19:17in the lmp class but they've got that fire out simon now trying to go in the other side um i think
19:23he's going to try and at least bring it back that's in the porsche curves he's not got that far to go
19:27no well the bike collars is in flames at the side of the circuit anthony drevet is in the pits
19:32yes indeed um with nick levante for a quick update from the straka racing team because we didn't speak
19:38about uh about you from the start of the race so how is it going uh at the moment yeah it's going
19:44really well uh we've been running our own race um a little bit behind the oracles on pace but we're
19:49still there and uh yeah we're feeling confident the car feels good um so we'll just keep plugging away
19:55so johnny took the wheel after your stint uh how was your stint yeah good um really good the car's
20:01come back to us really when the track temperature was a little bit higher we lost the balance a bit but
20:04through the night and this morning it feels really good so fingers crossed it's still a long way to
20:08go but we'll just keep chipping away and hopefully come home with a good result so at the moment we
20:12are in the top five i think in the p2 category you are two laps down but yeah everything is possible
20:18absolutely anything is possible and like i say we've seen so much happen in this race we've just got
20:23to keep chipping chipping and chipping away and see where we end at three o'clock today thank you very
20:26much well the attrition rate's really starting to kick in now at le mans isn't it because we are starting to
20:32see cars at the scenery dropping like flies and that's uh quite commonplace at this stage in the
20:36race they've survived the night they've done pretty good so far it's been a very clean le mans 24 hours
20:42by all rights but on this particular occasion by collars has once again done everything they can
20:49worked hard to the nail but the clm is not going to give them anything this time
20:54no um did look like some kind of turbo failure or something like that so you know if he can bring
21:02it back there is a chance didn't like it had thrown throwing a rod out of bed or done anything too
21:06serious uh i think simon's giving up though does look like he's saying enough's enough do you know
21:12what we've tried so hard yeah this car's on fire all the ruddy time simon's uh a lovely guy paying for
21:19his racing in uh in that car having done gp2 um he's been there he's done that you know he is
21:26extremely uh extremely quick driver but he's chosen to say right you know what i want to go and do this
21:32um but he wanted to do it in the top class so yeah shame recovery recovery there from uh paul
21:40in the aston martin once again a bit of a slip up there at the dunlop curves at gearhead fred on twitter
21:46are there any restrictions as to how many or what kinds of spare parts oops that's why he's gone
21:52off there he tried to mp2 car he tried to pick a fight with the extreme speed legier what was he
21:57doing in fairness to paul there wasn't really much he could do about that it was side to side contact
22:03on a p2 car that had come up his inside um he he thought i would think that the car was going the
22:09other side of him um okay so i think paul paul 50 50 there let's not let's not throw that one paul was
22:16away six of one half a dozen of the other i'm willing to concede on that one uh are there any
22:20restrictions as to how many or what kinds of spare parts the lmp12 gt pro-am teams can bring
22:26for lamont 24 well giles this is your kind of question yeah i mean they're restricted in terms
22:32of numbers of engines numbers of chassis um gearbox components internals they're not you know they can
22:38get on with that but they're not allowed to change casings uh so yeah you you will take a penalty
22:44depending on what you do we saw that with um kcmg were given dispensation to change the tub didn't
22:50have to go to the back of the grid uh there were others that took a five minute penalty for changing
22:54an engine um those guys not full-time wec competitors the wec guys get four engines for the season
23:02so they're normally throwing one of their engines away at the end of le mans uh where the other engines
23:08will then cycle through the season so one is their le mans engine uh they might choose to use
23:13those differently during the week so they might actually run an older engine on wednesday night
23:18and then change it on thursday the gte guys certainly that's what all of those guys were
23:22doing and with with the way the weather fell they all changed engines most of them changed their engine
23:28for thursday's running to put their race gear in in terms of other spares and consumables drive
23:33shafts uprights front corners bodywork no no limits there and here at le mans no limits on the number
23:39of tires they can use so they can run as many tires they like normally in a wec race we're looking at
23:45six sets of tires per per car that's how close the le mans 24 hours is toyota's 14 seconds apart
23:54with neil jani in the porsche only another 8.3 down the road i can't believe how close it is i i've seen
24:00some close races at the le mans 24 hours at this rate of adrenaline at this rate we're going to be as
24:07close in the battle as we were in 1969 when there was only about 150 meters between the race winning
24:13ford and the porsche right on the tail so that is how this race could go i mean that was the closest
24:19finish of all time as into the pits comes the number one porsche once again which is now the guinea pig
24:26for the number two which could still win this race don't forget that felt like a short stint for
24:30number one as well i've not been tracking number one stint lengths because they're so far down the order
24:35unfortunately slow zones taking advantage yeah could well be but they've done that on the last
24:40rotation so yeah seems strange but maybe trying something on a setup change um that they can learn
24:47and help the number two with uh then you know ultimately they can just hone the setup and then
24:52transfer it across toyota mechanics all getting a warm-up in the garage or wake me up come on let's go
24:57let's go guys and uh yeah that's a youtube video waiting to be made isn't it i know i know that's a
25:03serious process that the toys are doing there and that's but you just know somebody is going to take
25:08that piece of footage probably you know probably slow-mo it and put a dance track underneath it
25:14that's going to be on youtube tomorrow but uh they're doing some serious work i mean this is how
25:20intense the training regime is not just for the drivers but for the mechanics you've got to be
25:24in tip-top shape because you never know when something's going to break you never know
25:28when something is going to fail on the car and you have got to be on it like a car bonnet
25:32yeah no completely those guys are so fit you know the wheel changer in particular in the pit stops
25:37has to be so fit he's running around that car with a wheel gun that's relatively heavy um and the
25:43guy that's feeding him the wheels is is just as just as important so no it's it's interesting uh to
25:49see them being woken up at this time in the morning they don't do that before every pit stop i can
25:53assure you of that so uh just looking at some of the times that are getting pumped in now the the
25:59battle in gte pro um rages on between scott dixon and uh nikki team in the aston martin uh so scott
26:07dixon's pumping in personal best sector times to try and open that gap up that gap up sort of a minute
26:13and a half now uh oh rebellion off no no that's the tirier that's the tirier by tds keep doing this to me
26:19with rebellion on the side that's the second that's the second place car in lmp2 nose is missing
26:25that's gone in hard is that mulsanne yeah it is mulsanne now this one's definitely worth a replay
26:30because what's strange is the nose is missing which again you would suggest that the cars turn around
26:35on the brakes let's have a look i think he's gonna arrive sideways in this shot whoa yeah that's a big
26:41and that's a big and it's almost as if he's lost that it's under braking through the kink everybody seems
26:46to be dropping it on the brakes this morning you know that's the third incident we've seen in 40
26:52minutes of a car dropping it under braking and who's that and there's another car that's one of
26:57the extreme speed lichias well evelyn on twitter has said jake you've jinxed them when you said that
27:03the race has been pretty clean so far i apologize because they are just dropping out all over the
27:07place now it is strange how they're all dropping it under braking i don't know whether that's something
27:12that's going on with the circuit in terms of grip um whether they're all all just getting caught out
27:17or whether that's tiredness starting to set in could well be that's ed brown in the car at the moment
27:22daytona 24 hours winner of course yeah those guys have done done a fantastic job so far this year
27:29um and strange to see ed making a mistake like that he's been pretty solid as as the result of daytona
27:35suggests into the pits comes the dempsey proton porsche uh jason turner don't forget about the alpine
27:41what's going on with it it's a good point actually i wonder how nelson panciatici's repair work
27:46is going on at the moment ah now um well he's still there at the side of the road i can tell you he
27:51hasn't moved yet the car has slipped behind the 41 at ligier that's the greaves car of memo rojas
27:58is in the car at the moment safety car safety car not surprising there's a lot of cars all over the
28:03place especially with that debris down at morsan exactly and i think that they want to take the
28:07opportunity to have a good look at uh the circuit and just make sure that all the braking zones are
28:12clean make sure that as much gravel is swept away as possible just to prevent any more incidents i'd
28:18like to see from on board if we can yeah definitely the uh the incident there for the um number 46 pierre
28:25tire car uh pierre is uh he may maybe his name above the door but he's a fantastic very very fast and
28:32well-respected driver um it will be interesting to see whether that was something else going on
28:37because the nose had gone by the time he came into shot which is what i suspected i think he's hit the
28:42nose on the inside barrier yeah um under braking so as he's gone through the king and he's then
28:47arrived sideways in our shot yeah but it'll be interesting just to see whether all four tires
28:52were inflated for example you're absolutely right i think that's exactly what's happened he's gone
28:56through the kink hit the brakes the car snapped away either a drop in tire pressure because of a slow
29:00puncture developing or something along the lines maybe brake failure but uh yep the car came in
29:06pirouetting very gracefully through our shot as we looked up the mall side here it is again look
29:13that suggests to me exactly what you said giles all four tires are inflated so i think it is just
29:18driver error but um let's see we'll get it back yep all four tires definitely still inflated
29:25well that's going to be easier to get back to the pits than it is for nelson panciatici to get back
29:29that that really only needs a nose um there's been no no suspension contact i don't think with
29:34the wall so it's been a glancing blow along ed brown that just looks like he's gone off so i think
29:40he's going to get back to the pits as well yeah absolutely um what will be interesting to see is
29:44whether there's any arm code damage uh where the number 46 pierteria driven orica has gone into the
29:52to the guardrail on the inside that could be the very reason we're under safety car exactly yeah if
29:57there's any guardrail damage then they'll want to get that piece of guardrail changed to make sure
30:02that all the drivers are are safe um we'll see we're just coming through tertruge now following
30:08the ai corvette on that onboard shot that car still running 11th in the gte am uh category with uh
30:17johnny o'connell at the wheel the ux factory corvette driver uh some uh 21 laps down on the on the class
30:24leader so those guys have obviously had some trouble through the night we saw the car in the
30:27gravel trap early on in the race here they come they're all pitting in the beach dean aston is in
30:32the number 12 rebellion is in the leading lb2 car the 36 signatech alpine car and stephan rochelmi
30:38is in the pits so too pimbo durani in the second of the extreme speed ligiers here's toyota
30:44you should catch uh safety car b you should catch safety copy yep so the three safety cars that are
30:52deployed around the circuit um those guys coming on at uh the the end of the pit lane um mulsanne
30:59corner and then down at harnage is that safety car number four of this race i think it's only the
31:06fourth time because there was one during the six hours we weren't on i know that for a fact
31:12than there were yeah so i think there's i think it's only been four into the pits comes the signatech
31:16alpine so they're going to take that's the leading car renee rast has just moved up into second
31:21position and they're two laps adrift i suspect this is brakes this is just get it back into the garage
31:26yeah give it a proper service this is a prime opportunity to make sure the car is as good as it
31:32can be um they're going absolutely i mean they they could do this and get it back out and still
31:37retain the lead to be honest because i suppose that is a good idea playing safe especially when
31:42you saw what happened to nelson patchard teaching some oil going in um just taking the opportunity
31:49to give the car a thorough check over and and yeah absolutely the right thing to do why on earth
31:54wouldn't you why on earth wouldn't you because if you do that they're not doing breaks i thought that
31:57they would have been with eight hours to go kind of splitting the race up into thirds
32:02um taking pads but maybe they've only got a change once and they can already get to the end with
32:05what's on there well this is an opportunity to try and answer some of your tweets because not much is
32:11going to happen while we're behind safety car of course uh jay cutner on twitter what do the cranes
32:15hook onto to lift the cars in the air good question okay so each of the cars has got a steel boss
32:22either bonded into the monocoque or uh on his way back yeah um either bonded into the monocoque or welded onto
32:28the roll cage and it's literally just a tube of metal and they put a pin through the that tube
32:33of metal which has got little ball bearings they expand on the end of it in it goes and they just
32:37pick the thing up on the manitou so it's a really really simple system just two holes in the roof
32:41and these little tubes either bonded or welded to the roll cage fair enough um we've also got uh chris
32:48arnott at wing underscore nut 13 did the esm car hop into the wall looking at the gravel makes me wonder
32:55we're not sure it did uh chris we don't think it did just got it stopped just
33:01it was very close certainly no very damage whatsoever yeah it was very close look you can
33:06see the tire marks of the tirier by tds car you can see where it's spun and it's pirouetted at high
33:12speed and that is is that still clm still getting a little warm goodness me that was put out like
33:19what 10 minutes ago they might as well install a fire hydrant system an inbuilt sprinkler system
33:26i think it needs it it's forever on fire i don't i don't mean to be harsh to the bycolors team they
33:32are all an incredible bunch of people and they put in a huge amount of effort into this
33:36very special machine the clm it's a good piece of kit really but uh unfortunately lamont really does seem
33:42to show its weaknesses in every single area it's it's not bad in the world endurance championship it
33:48holds its own quite well for six hours but not for 24 that's crucial i think the thing is it's a very
33:53different car to the car they last ran at spa and they brought a complete host of upgrades they didn't
34:00even run at the test so seven speed gearbox from a six speed um a complete new set of bodywork some
34:05engine upgrades so that the thing is just a completely different animal to the one that they were running
34:10at silverstone and spa and untested we saw the problems that they had on uh on friday on sorry on
34:15windows day night when the car caught fire for the first time um with an issue with the fuel system
34:21and uh yeah the guys really have struggled uh throughout but it's been on fire many times
34:26before seven and a half hours to go your p2 uh the ferrari is just ahead of you and you're just about
34:36halfway on the stint we'll probably be able to stretch it a little bit with all the yellows and slow zones
34:43here so uh just hang in there pace is fine and uh see what we got here now when the engineer says the
34:52ferrari is just in front of you can i just be very very accurate as to how close it's about three car
34:58lengths that's that is how close the ford is to the ferrari in gte pro the ritzy competitioni car that's
35:05leading as the audi is back in again more brake ducts and front wing adjustments on the audi so
35:11this is what we saw last night that they were taking the car back into the garage now this is
35:18spinning under yellows trying to get some keep some heat in the tires he was just trying to push the car
35:23through the uh indianapolis corner and yet around around she went on started slightly colder tires
35:28i understand what he was trying to do there he was just trying to use the opportunity to go through in
35:32indianapolis and load the car up to to warm the tires there's the lead up i think every driver's
35:37done that at some stage they won't admit it though giles i will you will bless you bless you uh into
35:45the pits then comes the tds by tyria uh tyria by tds even a rick and nissan once second place now down to
35:51third that's going to be a nose repair maybe one or two other things one and a half laps in the pits
35:58potentially under safety car yeah again as they're under safety car they might take a little bit
36:02longer just to go through the car and make sure that everything's well so they know they've got a
36:06thorough run to the end they're still third in class um the the lidigan car is still two laps behind
36:12them uh so there's no reason why they shouldn't spend another lap just making sure that that car is
36:19as good as it could be they're not out of the running for the win they're only two laps back they they
36:23had a good advantage so don't they won't rush it they won't take any risks because the car getting
36:30getting damaged out on track again would be far far worse than uh you know just spending that little
36:35bit of time while everybody else is running slowly making sure it's good and of course they do need to
36:39figure out what went wrong in the first place was it driver error or was it a brake failure by now
36:44they'll have gone through the data and work that one out so they won't need you to see the car to to
36:48understand that one they'll have gone through the telemetry data and they'll have said no you actually
36:51brake 10 yards too late and that's what the issue was the top three cars in the le mans 24 hours are
36:57on the same straight behind the safety car this is just spicing things up beautifully bring away
37:03nicely this race isn't it absolutely so 11 seconds covering the first three in p1 um we've now got uh
37:11two laps covering the first three in p2 uh in gte pro we've already heard that sebastian baudet only
37:18three and a half seconds behind tony villander then a lap back to scott dixon um in the other
37:25forward and then when you look at the am category you know there's a lap between um first and second
37:29and another lap between second and third so it's all still pretty close and it's definitely all still
37:34to play for in each of the classes nice wet style montage of pit action through the last few hours of
37:41racing these guys work tirelessly they don't get the credit they deserve they don't get the rewards
37:48that the drivers do but without them those heroes the tom christensen's the derrick bells the jackie
37:54x's of this world would be nowhere absolutely you know the team effort that goes into all of this
38:02cannot be underestimated um it really is massive and those guys uh they've been at the circuit now since
38:08before eight o'clock yesterday morning they're getting on for 24 hours at the circuit now they
38:13will have been at the circuit for 24 hours by now and that guy looks at guys absolutely so they've
38:18already completed their first 24 hour race um now these guys will be running on until six or seven
38:25o'clock tonight by the time they've got things packed down and cars through any scrutineering is
38:29likely to go on tomorrow morning so cars will get looked at there's the esm car so for us watching
38:35that didn't go into the wall for us watching it's a 24 hours for everybody in the pits it's pretty
38:40much a 48 hour race really uh yeah 40 40 hours is is pretty normal um these guys will be pretty
38:47exhausted by the end of it they get the opportunity for a bit of shut-eye but personally as a team
38:52manager i've never managed to even even during a long extended safety car period at the brick car 24
38:58hours where the thing's running around but in the fog three hours i've never managed to get get a wink of
39:02sleep um you're there you're always thinking and this is the stage in the race now porsche radio
39:07so neil i'll see the cars in front the two toyotas we're fighting with him for the win we have to
39:13pass them on the track still seven and a half hours remaining in the race are they both on the same
39:18sequence now or yes yep same sequence but neil both of the toyotas are on their third spin on their
39:27tires so next time they box they'll be changing tires and we won't but it all evens out in the end
39:39so we're not doing too badly then a porsche they only have one of their two cars on the lead lap
39:44but they're still ticking over in third position the two toyotas running okay with the ford
39:50uh number 66 now in the pits so again all of the woes at ford seem to have hit the uk cars not the usa cars
39:59yeah oh yeah i wouldn't like to to comment on that one really i think uh just luck coincidence
40:06the you the uk cars every bit as well prepared as the um as the chip canati cars um from the us team
40:13sorry a very a very sleepy corvette somebody needs to give that lad a pillow yeah they do they really
40:19do don't that's cruel just leaving him there it's a lull we saw when he wakes up so no i mean just
40:26going back to what's going on at this stage so the the all the engineers and and uh strategists are now
40:32going to be calculating back from the end of the race this is the point where you really can try and
40:36work out right this is the number of stocks we're going to do this is how it's going to be that will be
40:40dictated to some degree by safety car uh but we have seen a solid eight hours running without a
40:44safety car so far this race it's had a crazy hour or so now but that's not to say that we're not going
40:50to go clean to the end so yeah everyone will be saying right three o'clock this is where we need to
40:54be how do we do the ultimate run to get there um and uh i suspect that there'll be people thinking
41:01about being able to do it in just seven stops um the they'll be thinking about tire com compounds
41:07strategy is looking dry to the end according to the current weather forecast i think we've been
41:12really quite lucky that we only had that really heavy rain um at the start of the race and throughout
41:17the rest of the race been dry we were saying at the start no we won't be setting any distance records
41:21i will check where we're going to be with that because actually 261 safety cars i think we're going to go
41:28further than we did last year whether we can get near a um distance record or not i'm not sure but i'll
41:34i'll have a look at that over now that looks as though there is a bit more damage than we first
41:40estimated because the car looks quite twitchy at first second year he's just being careful you
41:45have a lot of pickup you certainly not hit the wall at least okay uh yeah that's a good point because
41:50the most amount of laps ever covered in a 24-hour race was 397 by the audi sport team in 2010 mike
42:00rockenfella timo bernhard and roman dumar uh back in 90 back in 2010 397 laps we could potentially
42:09seven hours and 20 minutes to go we could hit the 400 mark i mean if we have a particularly clean
42:16seven hours and 20 minutes it's doable you know toyota and push or porsche are pushing each other
42:22so hard in this race we could go to that distance giles is as i make that bold prediction trying to prove me
42:29wrong with the equation just trying to make sure oh come on jake you're whistling up a country
42:33so the safety car is out another great question at leylan goes racing on twitter
42:38what are in the toolkits they carry on board the cars and jason turner adds to that what's uh what's
42:44in the toolkit basic ratchet wrench kit yeah all sorts in the toolkits in those cars sorry i'm still
42:50crunching numbers um it's going to be close uh 30 laps in the hour no they're not they're not going
42:56to do it okay fair enough um so no he was uh sorry asking about safety about the toolkits there will
43:03be all sorts in there so there'll be sections of wiring loom to be able to bypass um broken bits of
43:09wire so you might have something in there to be able to drive a coil pack direct from uh an engine
43:14control unit just a bridging loom a linking loop so they can unplug one connector plug it in and bypass a
43:19load of circuits both toyotas are in both toyota taking the opportunity under safety car to come
43:24in and and do some some proper work on those cars the number two Porsche staying out there'll be lots
43:29of bits in there they've all got these extended leads to be able to plug in and walk around the
43:33car and talk to the engineers and they also probably most of them now got mobile phones that they can
43:39plug into their helmet and make a call uh to to the teams so there's lots of little bits and bobs in
43:45their tank tape uh ratchets there'll certainly be tools to be able to remove the nose section as we
43:50saw with the uh alpine um and the rear deck uh just probably some c-spanners to be able to
43:57adjust suspension should they need to get a a corner up in the air if there's a problem
44:02um and equally you know the they a lot of these cars have the ability to be able to lock the diffs
44:08via a manual mechanism so if they lose a drive shaft they can actually lock the lock the diff drive the
44:13car back to the pits on one wheel drive uh so there's things like that in there everybody will
44:18be different but um yeah generally you know enough gear to be able to fault find and get the thing back
44:25and you and i both know giles from the world of motorsports on the world stage and the national stage
44:30the most valuable commodity in that toolkit as we all know is the tape that is the that is the most
44:37important part of the entire toolkit because you would be amazed how much work you can actually do
44:43to a racing car with tape to get you home tape and tie wraps yep 46 we're almost joking as well we're
44:50almost joking it's true though isn't it that's tyrier being uh rolled back down the pit lane what i don't
44:55understand is why they're pushing the car back to the box i guess he's fired up is that allowed
45:01they can push the car back to the box yeah so he's they've got the car going again this is what i was
45:06saying about taking their time maybe they have rushed it a bit uh he's driven up the pit lane
45:11and found that they've got a vibration or some kind of issue and he's chosen to pull it in rather than
45:15doing a complete lap which is the wise thing to do they're allowed to push it backwards down the
45:19pit lane the car can't be under its own motive power going backwards down the pit lane but no
45:23problem with what they're doing so they're going to spin that car back around and into the box i would
45:27think unless they forgot to fuel it but if they'd forgotten to fuel it they'd have saved more time by
45:31just sending it around but then again the safety car crockers we see the toyota's there
45:36sitting at the end of the pit lane having taken the opportunity to come in and do the stop
45:40um being held so released behind this next safety car behind that so that now puts neil yarny
45:45a whole safety car ahead that's going to be one and a bit minutes uh but the toyotas have got a stop
45:49out of the way so that's now 20 stops for each of the toyotas 19 for the for conway uh sorry
45:5519 for conway 20 for boemi and 20 for yarny in the porsche yeah driver changes to both toyotas of
46:04course it's a ebbing and flowing that was a short stint there uh for both cars but particularly short
46:10for the number six of conway duval is in the eight audi fessler is in the seven audi and they are still
46:16in touch two laps behind the number eight twelve laps behind the number seven so they're not far off
46:22fourth and fifth position they're still in the game they're still in the game if one of the big
46:25three top drops out audi is still on the podium yeah absolutely so but conway back in that car
46:30now we saw this last night once conway's installed he seems to have be the one that can can really
46:36push on the hardest in that number six car so neil yarny the fastest of the porsche drivers in the
46:41number two uh conway the fastest of the toyota drivers in the number six and sebouemi i would say
46:47the fastest of the uh the drivers in the number five so this is the the real sprint specialists that are
46:53going to be getting on it and seeing where they end up seeing some shots from in the pit lane
46:57refueling the forward forward getting turned around back into the garage is it bad that when that tds by
47:03tyrier car came into the pits tried to leave it and we saw that slow-mo shot of the mechanics running
47:09down the bit is it bad that i visualized the chariots of fire song in my head as they ran down the pit
47:13lane is that bad no or am i just over tired i think you're over time so uh we've got seven hours and
47:22fifteen minutes to go here and uh neil jarny in the porsche leads the way with the two toyotas
47:29second and third because they've just made a full service pit stop and driver changes conway and bohemi in
47:35the car when we get restarted again watch mike conway the headline in this le mans 24 hours is
47:44where the hell has mike conway been and why hasn't he shown us all this skill before because he is for
47:50me i know this is a team sport i know this is endurance and i know this isn't a sprint race
47:56although effectively it's several sprint races within an endurance race nowadays of course but if there's
48:01one man in the toyota team that can put his hands up and say we've done a good job and i've been
48:07integral to that it's mike conway he's been absolutely mighty let's not jinx him but i think at three
48:13o'clock that will be the story uh what conway did to uh to bring the toyota home wherever it may finish
48:19you know he really really has been there the the alternate star of that show so far now the captain
48:26smarty pants award on twitter is likely to go to at read da he heard us say an unlimited tires rule
48:33but apparently the rule book on page 22 says there is a limit when did we say unlimited tires i've said
48:39that but um pretty confident that there is unlimited tires i wouldn't question giles dawson he does know
48:46what he's talking about on this one safety car in this lap safety car in this lap so two toyotas nose to
48:53tail are going to charge after that porsche now on the gap it is one minute 57 but we're on the safety
49:01car information to the pit lane we're bringing the safety cars in at the end of this lap we're bringing
49:06the safety cars in at the end of this lap so we've got the toyotas chasing after the porsche there is
49:12one car on the road between the 68 ferrari and the competizione ferrari and that is the 68 porsche which
49:21is the gte am machine so there's one car between the leaders in gte pro that battle's going to kick
49:29off rochelle me in the alpine still leading having made that brilliant pit stop that's to attack the
49:35that strategic decision and they've still got a lap in hand over rené rast in the g driver rica so as
49:40you were saying giles that was the sensible decision for the signatech alpine they were two laps clear
49:45why on earth shouldn't they and it's still given that they've still got a lap in hand absolutely
49:50yeah no they've got got that lap in hand and uh they might as well uh might as well look after the
49:56car make sure it's it's done properly so jeffrey seagull is your leader in the ferrari in the gte am
50:02category about a lap ahead of uh heinemir hansen in the uh porsche number 88 the abu dhabi proton car
50:10still there in second position david hanema hansen of denmark sharing the car with the american patrick
50:15long and the dubai based racer kelly dal kubayzi lights out on the safety car and this is the one
50:23that's on the back straight so the audi is pulling off in front of us the audi safety car is pulling off
50:28right in front of us and we're racing again so the levan 24 hours continues with seven hours and
50:3411 minutes on the clock game on and this is gonna be a bit like a sprint here comes the audi shooting
50:41down the straight going for a big star he's actually on the on the dust on the far side of the circuit
50:47trying to pick his way through traffic watch the cars make their way through here the ritzy competizione
50:51ferrari is getting impatient with two astins right in front and that's why the ford is right on the tail
50:56so this is going to be a bit like a sprint race for the next half an hour or so at least
51:00because there's a big challenge here because we've got the porsche and the two toyotas not too far away
51:05in tow and then we have the uh battle for the gte pro and this is sebastian bordet we're riding on board
51:14with tony villanda is not far up the road there he is in the 82 ritzy competizione ferrari and there's
51:20the ford that is the battle for the victory in the gt class it is so close it is so tight and this is no
51:26longer an endurance race at this particular point of the uh the mile 24 hours this one's a sprint
51:34seven hours and ten minutes to go we're all pretty impressed with what the ford can do into the pits
51:39now that's a bit of frustration there for the 69 ford just in front of us coming into the pits because he
51:43got bulked by the garage 56 entry the srt 41 by oak racing car frederick so say and uh his colleagues
51:50christophe tasso and jean-benard bouvet not sure who's in that car at the moment in fact that's a
51:55bit of a question where are they currently in the race because they're not in the top 25
52:00i can tell you that they're above the bottom but they're below the top so they are pretty much in the
52:06mid section their target is not to finish in any particular position it's to finish and to be honest
52:12they've looked very good all the way throughout
52:16so the gap between the porsche and the two toyotas neil jani leading mike conway and sebastian
52:21bohemi second and third is a minute it's a minute to answer the point on the tires no
52:26that if you look at the note 7.7.4 it's very clear these these regulations do not apply to the 24 hours
52:32le mans aha so it's a weck rule it's not a le mans rule which is what we've been which is what we've been
52:38saying i have to say if if it was a le mans rule we'd be in trouble yeah we would be in trouble yeah
52:45no so uh that's that's pretty normal and it's interesting the tire regulations the way it works
52:50because there is tire competition in all the classes and uh you know dunlop um and uh michelin are
52:57fighting it out hard in the in the gte pro category and then we've got the same thing in the lmp class
53:03uh but mlmp1 all the the top runners on michelin uh and then we've got the the privateer entries the
53:10lmp1 ls on dunlops so it kind of ebbs and flows throughout the classes and the same in the lmp2
53:16category michelin dunlop split um but uh interesting that aston martin chose to change the uh tire
53:24manufacturer at the start of the year to dunlop because they felt that they were going to get a
53:27better response from dunlop to have a tire developed for them um while michelin were focusing on the
53:33mid-engine cars they really wanted to work with somebody on getting a tire to work for the front
53:37engine car at this moment in time my money is still on toyota in the first sector of that last lap
53:45nil jarny did a 37-0 the toyotas were in the 33s let's just let that resonate for a moment a 37-0 for
53:54jarny 33s for the toyotas drive-through penalty for the 98 aston martin for speeding in the pit lane well
54:01we got that little warning a little bit earlier on that they were sent to the stewards for uh
54:05speeding in the pits in the second sector the porsche has done an 81-1 the toyotas 78s
54:13this is absolutely monstrous speed now i don't think this is just traffic so for some reason no i don't
54:19either i think that that is genuine pace so see how it pans out through the uh the next lap or so the
54:25porsche hasn't pitted so they don't have a problem but uh conway and bohemi have both been told right
54:31your sprint specialists get on it go go go so four seconds lost in the first sector now another three
54:37seconds lost in the second sector they know they need to chase him if they want to put the pressure
54:42on uh having made that stop under safety car but equally uh jarny owes us a stop so uh jarny is in two in
54:50the two car two four one and the safety car i suspect we're gonna see jarny
54:59two five one well yeah we're gonna see jarny this lap or next lap yeah for a stop jarny's on the mulsanne
55:06going into the first chicane just as conway and bohemi come over the start finish line and down towards
55:12the dunlock curves the gap is down to 56 seconds and actually toyota that was a the blinder on the
55:17strategy because that's now going to put toyota well clear both cars well clear of jarny when he
55:22gives us his stop very shortly and they're back kind of in sync there's only going to be two or three
55:27laps between them and jarny does need to make a driver change here i think um is it a full service
55:36stop no it's not yarny will be staying in but 56 seconds that is not enough to get in and get out
55:43no matter what they do both cars no shadow of a doubt there um doesn't matter how quickly he goes
55:48now and he's losing time to them again no he's he's now put the hammer down through uh the first sector
55:53so he's probably on an in lap this lap he took a second out of the toyotas um there on that first
55:59sector careful boys don't hit each other for goodness sake yeah i think uh said bohemi just trying to make
56:04his point look i'm here i'm every bit as quick as you get out the way we're both racing for a win here
56:10surely they should work together here at this point they will but if you're sebastian bohemi you
56:15want to be the car that's leaning that's true that's true it's as simple as that you don't want
56:20to get caught up in mike conway's accident if he was to drop it under braking as we've seen with all
56:24these other issues that have gone on throughout so uh yeah he's coming with toyota radio
56:30well that wasn't that didn't answer the question at all yeah that was bohemi saying are there any
56:45team orders can i overtake him yeah we're not going to answer that question and bohemi immediately
56:50driving away from conway which uh i'm quite surprised by that you know conway uh has been the star of the
56:55show so far for me uh but uh bohemi just now trying to prove his point let's hope sebastian's
57:00got his head engaged and he's not going to go and have a silly off now chasing down uh chasing
57:06down yarny they don't need to chase yarny too hard uh that we're going to be equal on all things
57:11equal on pit stops once yarny stops um and yarny is coming through now the final sector we will see
57:19him in this or next i can't tell you which because of the safety car it depends how much fuel he
57:23saved under safety car no he is in now in pit lane so the toyotas are going to come through to
57:28take that lead back that's the number two car in oh it's getting exciting again into the pits comes
57:34neil jarny now nelson panciatici we saw him hit the wall a little bit earlier on i don't know when
57:40i don't know how we didn't see it but they're back in the pits so fair play to nelson panciatici
57:46he's managed to get the car started and bring it home i think he managed to do that under the
57:49safety car which was probably the safest thing for everybody and that may be why they've let it go but
57:53that was the point we were making you know the marshals needed to give him the opportunity
57:56to bring that car back that will get a front corner that car will be back on its way i have
58:01no shadow of a doubt about that uh tv a car still falling down the order now back behind the stracker
58:07still in the pits so they haven't sorted that problem i think he has done an out and in
58:12uh so there is obviously some more damage there on that uh on that tv a car than than expected well
58:17if anthony threbek can hear us can we get down to uh nelson panciatici in car 35 and uh and tyrier
58:24while he's at it and tyrier car that that is still in the race for lmp2 honors meanwhile the toyota is
58:30going to flash past the pits and they're going to go one and two at a critical point in the le mans 24 hours
58:35Porsche out of the pits bye bye the toyotas have well and truly flummoxed them here and look at that
58:43that's a big morale boost to the crew yeah absolutely they're they're going to be very
58:48pleased with that i'm surprised that yarny's come out between the two of them but that won't last for
58:52very long um i think the conway's been held up in traffic there oh hang on a second what car is
58:58right in front of these three on the road it's the number one porsche things could get interesting here
59:03i'm not saying that uh the number one porsche who's at the wheel of that at the moment they're so far down
59:08we're not sure who's at the wheel uh we'll have a look i suspect it's mark webber now mark webber
59:16at the best of times knows how to go for a battle if they are if he wants to help the number two team
59:21ever no it's bernhard yeah we saw that change didn't we earlier on they are 38 laps off the lead
59:28that porsche so we're just seeing a drive-through penalty being issued to car 98 which is uh yeah
59:35galalana and now mateus lauda into that car and um but i'm afraid to say five there is a possible
59:41overtake of the 55 which is which car is the 55 that is the af course ferrari so one of their rivals
59:49under safety car that's under investigation as well yeah let's see what goes on there but um
