00:00well not for some reason because we know what he's trying to do but um he might have found
00:05something that they're not doing right or i'm not sure yeah well well not long into our broadcast
00:12when we came back we did hear anthony davison saying come on guys where was my countdown we've
00:19got a pass going on here uh it's not for position but it's the it is it's a leading car it's a
00:25leading car getting passed by the second place car taking a lap off him but he's basically
00:31unlapping himself so that is the lead in the second place car um
00:50okay translation from anthony and the pits there saying uh good lapping great
00:55focus just stay focused yeah keep it there he's got a lap that's the 26 cars got to make up
01:01so what he doesn't want to do here because obviously he's kind of toying back up behind
01:05he doesn't want to make a mistake and break too late and make contact or anything he doesn't
01:08want to do anything silly here um because there's no need to he's got a full lap on the other car
01:15and in american racing that lap can come back under safety car the rules are there that they would get
01:20a way through and he'd be able to under safety car he'd be able to get the lap back but at le mans not
01:25because there's actually three safety cars
01:39right so we're getting information that uh of course many viewers uh listeners might be fluent in french
01:46more than we are but uh yeah he's he's been told to let the the russian off uh who's just come out
01:52the pits the 26 car let him go by and don't worry about him he's you're not fighting for position here
01:57because as i said he is one lap down or not anymore but he's very much nearly a lap
02:02that's it so uh i'm trying to think uh i was going through basically what happened to the
02:09the yanni porsche early on in the race with the strategies of pit stops and everything because
02:15all these three cars at the front are running different strategies and that car two the porsche
02:20number two came into the pits very early on in the race wasn't happy with the handling of the tires
02:25and changed drivers very early on whereas all the others uh kept out on the the same driver even though
02:31they changed tires and that kind of put them on a different strategy they're still on a different
02:36strategy the gap is 28 and a half seconds yeah with yanni taking six tenths off nakajimi the lap before
02:45and but as i said it's not that much of a concern at the moment we're under two hours to go and it's the
02:54five toyota leading followed by the two porsche six then it's the six toyota followed by in fourth
03:00and fifth the eight and seven out he's a 36 alpine that we've just been on board that leads g uh not
03:07gt it leads uh p2 the leader of gt pro is there that's the 68 for gt in 18th place overall so inside
03:14the top 20 and the gt am leader is the 62 ferrari 458 italian in 27th place overall
03:22so yeah another fight that's going on in p2 we've got danny watts in the car now danny will be in to
03:30finish the race i would have thought and he's only one lap down on the third place car of petrov
03:37so he'll be trying to close that gap and hoping that perhaps something happens to that 37 car ahead
03:43so they can at least make the podium that'll be a big achievement for them
03:45um they've not had the best of years so far in fact they've not had the best a couple of years
03:52um they've been from p1 back to p2 they've tried some kind of the dome chassis which didn't work for
03:59them uh they've now got themselves uh gibson chassis and uh yeah seem to be up there fighting danny
04:07doing a great job as as ever a tweet from aston martin just a few minutes ago they can confirm that the 98
04:18v8 vantage gt has retired so that is confirmed it was uh i think it only had first and six gears
04:25yeah that's what it did have so disappointment for them and yeah kind of a year ago it was a similar
04:33situation a bit heavier contact with the wall but a late retirement for that car
04:41so we're watching the lead car getting quite a few tweets from uh i mean i posted a picture before we
04:47went off here of the the wheel of the porsche p1 car last night and uh people asking what can you
04:54listen what all the buttons do not a clue not a clue obviously there's the the ones that are um
05:01self uh explanatory but uh no you would need a porsche driver to be able to if you want to if you
05:07want to know what they are because i just porsche just before the race about a week before the race
05:13i think maybe between the test day they did a story on it right so yeah if you go to the work app
05:19and there's a link from the wek app to the porsche page about the studio you will have to go quite
05:24far down the news items on the wek app the world endurance championship appearance because it was
05:30before the race where the story came up but that is up there but there is 24 buttons on the front uh
05:38buttons and switches and six paddles on the back but you need to go on to the wek app and it is fully
05:44there's a link there to the porsche website or the porsche data page or something which then tells
05:48you what they all do so there you've got an hour and 56 minutes come back with your answers so
05:55to sort that out it's uh it's quite interesting what it would do i mean i didn't actually look at
05:59it i was i was lost off with just like all the buttons and things like that but uh impressive piece
06:04of kit that steering wheel it'd be worth a few quid as well no doubt yeah it would be it was just sat
06:09there wasn't it on the top of the desk when we walked past it was that kind of dirt muller fastest
06:14lap last time around car 68 the pro car leading class uh 351.8 uh remind me what he did in
06:26qualifying i think it was pretty much the same as that wasn't it which car uh dirt muller 68 car
06:34i'm sure he did a 351 something or other in quality he's down to his qualifying time i think they've
06:39taken uh i think jake's taken all my part of those guys i've got there's got to be it could be here
06:44it could be here yeah okay all right let's have a look
06:54yeah he did uh he he did a 351 once so no he is uh seven tenths off at the moment but still to be
07:00anywhere near your qualifying time is pretty impressive and at this stage of the race he's
07:05obviously got his head down he's pushing on he's drawing a bit of a gap to fizikella and the ferrari
07:11behind 40 seconds now sarazan's just not happy with this car at all he's not happy he's emotional
07:25it's been a long night um he's not happy with the way it's happening i know the feeling i know the
07:30feeling that you just you're you're driving the wheels off the thing and you're just uh you're risking
07:35everything and it's uh we're not going to see it from this angle oh you might do all that all that
07:41tape that they put on to try and make it a bit more nicer says yeah it's blown off and it's just now
07:46back to what it was gradually gradually bits of the bodywork have broken off and and the more that
07:51comes off the more uh aero it affects he's not even using that curb anymore so he's he's uh i haven't
07:59seen a toyota floor but if if you've been listening to us most of the broadcast you will have discovered
08:05that we were very privileged to go into the ford sorry the porsche garage and i did see uh a few sets
08:12of floors for their porsche p1 car and as beautiful as these cars are from the outside you want to see
08:19what the floor looks like it is a work of art just little tricks and bits of aero and flicks and curves
08:27all around is the floors and the toyota one will be no different and when there's a big hole in the
08:33side of it uh and it's got bits missing off it it's just not going to work very well and the drivers
08:41i i thought they might change that floor before but i suppose they've got plenty of time in hand
08:45they've got 10 laps on the car behind them which is this driver we're looking at lucas de grassi
08:50one hour 53 to go the eight car the seven car audi fans it's not been your week uh at le mans yes
09:01first on the road in silverstone uh then get disqualified because of a floor infringement
09:07winning this car the eight car winning round two of the world endurance championship at spar
09:11there's alan mcnish our plane reporter louise is back and she was playing a game with
09:17alan mcnish the other night we were trying to guess the celebrity and then he gave us completely the
09:21wrong initials wasn't he i mean we spent ages trying to work out who the celebrity was
09:26and even when you did know the name you didn't have no idea what mind you keanu reeves said he walked
09:31past me no can you can remember his name jason statham correct yeah jason state and i had no idea who he
09:38was until i got set a picture of a friend of mine sent me a picture room and then i remembered who
09:43he was you did say when you see him you'd know who he was uh but yeah keanu reeves walked straight
09:48past me last night i had no idea that i had him walking towards me as we were chatting away and then
09:54peter announced me as he went past obviously he couldn't say anything as he was coming towards
09:57oh look there's camera yeah i'm not that type of guy no you pointed him out after he'd gone past
10:02quietly yeah quietly i was kind of like i didn't even see that didn't notice that and he was coming
10:07towards for about 20 odd meters 30 meters and i suspect most girls would have collapsed and passed
10:12out that's the thing i mean i'm always in a you know in a situation where you think well i quite
10:18respect what keanu reeves i think you know he's done a good job he's had a great career i've enjoyed
10:24oh sorry oh no go on right yeah i've enjoyed his films uh i've i've seen a couple of oh we are getting
10:31ready something about uh balance and things like that so uh maybe louise can uh translate louise can
10:44you no it was uh the alpine 36 car you see we've had anthony translating all the french that's been going
10:54on for us so it's been brilliant but uh so well keanu reeves that's okay louise we're now going to
11:01talk about hollywood film stars and things like that so in that situation i would like to say to him hey
11:07you know good on you mate you've you know i've enjoyed your work and whatever but i don't want to be
11:13like a an uber fan you know so in the end i just don't say anything
11:17no no we we saw keanu reeves last night he walked straight past me and uh peter said oh that was
11:25keanu reeves and i went you where where what who what i had no idea uh and uh anyway yeah so he was in
11:32no way hassled or or stressed by me uh wanting his autograph or a selfie with him louise how can you
11:40maybe go to the toyota pit we've got sarrazin in the pit now uh can you see if you can find any
11:45drivers like mike conway and we haven't had any words with him he's been a bit of a star of the
11:50start of this race um maybe a little looking at this floor again aren't they and then
12:00so this it's a bit messy the side part of that car but it has been messy since the dark i mean we
12:06still don't even know who uh kobe actually hit he doesn't even know who he hit when he when we did the
12:12interview with him after he got out of his yeah there was there was no footage of it it was an am
12:16cam there it was an am car that i had that that either he hit or hit him uh one of those maneuvers
12:23but sadly that you know with this being the race it is and with it being uh like a sprint 24-hour race
12:30nowadays uh those little things they're the things that make the difference they are the things that
12:36mean that you finish third instead of uh potentially winning it so we're on board or we're looking at
12:43dark miller again as i said he's driving very quick the fastest laps are going in for dixon now in the
12:48other ford the 69 in third place he's only 19 seconds behind pister kelly in there i know they've
12:55all got pit stops to go but they were telling they were telling scott dixon weren't they as well
13:01just keep this up
13:13i do want to see
13:16a p1 porch through the porch curves again on board before this race finishes because
13:21i don't know nothing else seems to go through there as hustled and as fast yeah even though
13:26the toyota is going that quick uh car 28 reported to the stewards for speeding in the pit lane
13:34that car that car since we went on air on wednesday the the tattinger cars had so many little problems
13:41and dramas and misdemeanors so you know she was quite she had a good interview yeah and she's quite
13:47honest about things she's she's new here she's learning she's trying to do a better job every time she gets
13:52in the car i'm actually not sure isn't let's have a look and see who's actually i've got the remote
13:57in that car just now it's quite down the order there we go it's it is touching her in the car just now
14:03so she yeah actually that's maybe the previous it could have been the previous driver when they swapped
14:09you got the penalty
14:10got a replay going on here so it's a 78. this was the car that was right at the front of this
14:19of this amateur battle ages ago like in yes it was they've had issues though and that corvette looks
14:26to be trying to drive by it um that is a fight is it a fight for position no i don't think it is
14:34i think it's uh yeah he's that corvette is putting a lap on it another lap on it
14:47okay well nakajima is in the car louise is talking to us in the pits nakajima is in the
14:51five car and sarrazan in the six car i'm just thinking you might not get to speak to anyone from
14:56the five car you might not get to speak to anyone from the six car but i just i see i would just i'd like
15:02to hear a bit from mike conway um maybe maybe you've spoken to him already we weren't on air at the
15:07time but um yeah he had a stunning start to the race all those hours ago and uh yeah i just wanted
15:14to hear his uh his opinions there's a yellow flag at zone 30 was out and back in very very quickly so
15:24i could have just been somebody having a bit of a trip wide the 66 car
15:30that is fourth place pro a gt pro car in pit road
15:42now as you said about half an hour ago now it's amazing how quickly time flies but
15:46the whatever category you're in winning your category is the most important thing and this is
15:51our lead car this is uh don't know sorry this is the scott dixon car who's trying to catch
15:56the ferrari in front of them wringing the neck out of it and that p1 car just comes whizzing past and it
16:03just they are driving as hard as their cars will go even though that's a p2 car it's not even a p1
16:09oh wasn't it p1 oh yeah i think we're looking at 36 anyway that's the leader of the p2
16:15maybe maybe it was a different image maybe i'm not sure it did seem to go past very very quickly
16:20uh two aston martins in the distance got three p2 cars in amongst them this is the the lead car as
16:28you've said and then just in front of it is the second place car the second place car
16:33region of has overtaken and unlapped itself and basically has a whole uh car 67 off track but
16:41continues that's uh andy prio
16:44so yeah the the ford seemed to be both muller and dixon last time around 352
16:58fizikella ferrari 354 so it does seem at this stage of the race that the fords have their legs on the
17:05ferrari and uh rather than fizikella challenging muller he's he's got a kind of fight off dixon it's
17:12dixon who's closing in on him last time around two seconds he took off him
17:20okay we're going down to louise in the pits well as mike conway just said to me it's a tough old
17:25race so far you put in a storming performance at the start of that race yeah no it's been uh it's been
17:31a lot of fun out there especially uh the first thing changeable conditions was really fun but uh
17:37yeah i mean unfortunately slipped down to third but um you know the sister car is leading and
17:42uh you know fingers crossed we can all get on the podium and uh it's been a fun race bloody tough
17:48i think it's one of the hardest ones i've done just because we're constantly in a fight every time
17:52he came out of the pits so yeah it's been a lot of fun but really hard how do you keep it together as
17:58you're saying how do you uh get some rest when the adrenaline's pumping so hard it's hard because
18:05uh when you're in a fight and leading as well you don't want to switch off the tv you want to keep
18:10watching and listen to the radio uh but managed to get maybe like an hour of sleep that's it just
18:18plenty of food and plenty of water that's it uh you feeling confident with the car uh yeah we had to come in
18:25for a repair to uh make sure we could get home okay so hopefully fingers crossed we'll be good but
18:31still uh these last two hours seem to be taking forever thanks very much well obviously exhausted
18:38mike comway there thank you louise yeah the final two hours it's amazing how quickly it whizzes over but
18:46these last hour and 43 minutes now yeah good good to hear from him though and you know he's he's keeping
18:51his head up uh he's you know he obviously would he does want to win but the second best thing is to
18:57have a teammate win uh or you know a sister car and if they can make the podium as well he'll be back
19:03to fight another day okay that's a driver change for the p2 leader and uh it's uh nicholas lapier who
19:10will take the car to the finish which sounds like you know again he's a safer well okay i hate saying
19:16things like this but he generally is the safest pair of hands in that car he's the fastest one in
19:20that car so uh yeah get the other driver out he's finished his stint again done a great job no no need
19:27to hustle too hard just bring the car home safely the car 26 obviously has unlapped itself but it's
19:34got to make another another couple of stops as well so um yeah just get up to speed don't get don't
19:40get embroiled in any fights with anyone that you don't need to get in fight with so he won p2 last
19:49year he was like first last year he's best ever finished third overall in 2014 with toyota and
19:55amazingly uh he's won six races out right and uh he kind of finds himself in a p2 car but uh kind of the
20:05king of the p2 car as well giving all given the responsibility and things like that i'm just
20:10watching from our contract we can see the runway um the last five or six minutes two or three private
20:17jets taking off some very fancy ones so i'm not sure whether that's our celebrities disappearing
20:25so uh yeah we're hearing maybe simon don't have one of them yeah bearing in mind there's some very
20:31wealthy uh drivers that paul de la lana yeah and if they're out the race then they might well just
20:37get out of here and uh get away home that's it so inside watching the 23 car really hustling through
20:44the chicane that time where are they that's so that's shut down down in um what is he eighth position
20:53in p2 so obviously had their issues but uh he's pushing on nonetheless nonetheless
20:58this is the data on the 62 car 235 240 kilometers an hour and still climbing right so johnny's just
21:07crossing the line we'll see the gap now 33.7 from nakajima nakajima just almost a second quicker that
21:16time around traffic involved no doubt so the gap remaining about the same that's what they need to
21:21do just keep ticking away you do know though in the last hour and 40 minutes
21:31somebody somewhere is going to have heartbreak and even if it's someone who's in fifth in their category
21:38to get this close is going to be hard yeah yeah yeah and we had it last year i think it was about 20
21:43minutes to go paul dalalana uh with a two lap lead in gtm having enough and uh yeah missing missing missing
21:54the finish altogether we still got in fifth and sixth place at two or two of the aston martins nikki team and
22:04johnny adams um as i've talked about just not quite the pace currently running at 357 and then you get
22:14dark miller doing a 352 last time physical 353 and dixon 354 so you know all these seconds add up to
22:23laps and uh yeah the team is three laps down on dark miller and i don't think that car's had any big issues
22:31it's just been raw pace yeah it's and as you say it's amazing that those uh three cars at the front
22:42of that really the four cars um all of what's gone on in the race the tricky conditions to start
22:49then all the traffic that they've got to overtake that they're overtaken by
22:53and keeping themselves very clean and neat and tidy
23:01and five car on its way out heading up here's the two kites it's 33.9 seconds
23:09as peter said different pit stop strategies now around 40 minutes ago they can do approximately
23:1445 minutes roughly 45 minutes on a tank of fuel porsche team radio
23:20ruthless so yeah it's it's clear their strategy got another three uh three laps on this
23:34like how if i did record last time they came in what have you got there three four five yeah so three
23:41laps to go that kind of sounds like they're doing 14 laps now
23:49is that how i can quite work out what he i just all let's wait till he i remember this might be delayed
23:54yeah i i just heard him saying keep pushing everyone can make mistakes keep pushing yeah yeah i mean it's
23:59clear for them that uh they're not going to catch them on raw pace but um if they keep pushing they might
24:07make them make a mistake and uh you know it's always easier being the guy who's chasing and pushing and
24:14catching the guy in front the one under pressure is nakajima right now because he knows he's in the
24:19lead he knows he's got a decent little bit of a gap but he can't afford any mistakes saying that he's just
24:26locked very quickly uh a 323.2 as opposed to johnny but mind you johnny's just crossed the line doing a
24:33322.9 so he's responded again and i suspect that the the nakajima time is these two cars that he's
24:39had to go past we've got a gt pro and a p2 car that uh the number two cars gonna have to negotiate in
24:46amongst corners it's got through one of them it's going outside outside of both of them but different
24:52he's decided not to push that through though he could have maybe stuck it down the inside but again
24:58he felt well i'm not taking any silly risks it's a bar test car that uh he's trying to get it he'll just
25:05swallow it up and spit it out now on the straight soon as he gets it there there he's through
25:10now it's interesting again teams obviously things don't just happen by coincidence
25:16this car the number two car neil yanni and it's no disrespect to the other two in the car probably is
25:21over a a sector over a lap in a stint neil yanni probably is the quickest driver in his car last
25:29year many pole positions even stopped by porsche yeah taking pole positions to help the other team
25:35he happens to be in the car at the end when it might need that big push uh so uh a bit of high-fiving
25:43going on hour and 36 minutes the number six toyota but yeah so they've got uh their
25:53outright pure pure pace qualifying spec driver in the car of the number two car
26:00so duma and lee just kind of like relaxing and watching what's going on bc there's a toyota getting
26:07stuck in traffic is the sixth car though sarrazani's just not really happy with the handling of that
26:13thing he's just got to get it around now for another 90 odd minutes and he will be fine yeah last
26:18lot from sarrazana 331 so yeah no doubt he had traffic but i think he's just you know when you've
26:25got a car that's just not right for you you can't push the issue you can't just sail around the outside
26:30like you would normally and then you it costs you a tenth here a tenth there and it all this time adds up
26:36two seconds so as he crosses the line this time let's see does he
26:44this is 331 as you say i mean that's like eight seconds down on his teammate he did have traffic
26:50he's got more traffic to negotiate i wonder whether with a few i don't know with a few minutes to go
26:57whether they will uh imagine they did talk about survival yes they did talk about survival which is
27:02what it's all about it could be it could be that that car is slightly worse than than we can see
27:07and uh it is a case of well he can't afford to push it too harder it might not make it it's got a car
27:13drive-through penalty for speeding in the pit lane car 28 that's the same one isn't it so i'm just
27:19looking at the leader sequence and it was car two car five car two car five car two car five all the way
27:26through so far six did lead between 242 laps and 262 up then it was late left relinquished of that from
27:34car two then car six back in and then it was two six two this is uh been mixing and matching it three
27:42different leaders a lot of lead changes we're actually going it's taking us back we're going yeah
27:48yeah back in time yeah and then the number one car before it had its problems was leading
27:52so that's four different cars
27:57so yeah we're going down towards the start aren't we here which was under safety car
28:01at the first 40 or 50 57 minutes i think it was it was uh so as audi actually led this yes there one
28:09lap 16 to 17. oh yeah oh and then the seven cars so they've led two laps of this race the audi so all of
28:15our main manufacturers mp1 have led this race at some point but i'm sure audi would have preferred uh
28:23a lot longer time up front they've just like two laps that's it currently in fourth and fifth
28:32okay that was that penalty that you were just talking about card 28
28:36speeding in the pit lane and the seven car is in front but they got that penalty a long time ago so is
28:41that another one well i'm not really sure it could well be so when when they came in to do the penalty
28:47they caught speeding again don't say that there's this uh fastler getting in the car driver change in
28:53the seven the last driver change in the number seven car just on the way in now do you reckon that the
29:02six car or the toyota put kobayashi in for the last in like not not so much last in but the last few
29:08laps so there's both their japanese drivers in their cars going over the podium you know you might have
29:13a point there so as we watch the number 28 coming into the pits uh for the drive-through penalty but yes
29:20um if they are safe and at the moment they have a yeah they have nine laps nine laps over de grassi yeah
29:26you might well be right there and if they can thing is i'm not sure this this race doesn't seem
29:33at the moment anyway to be going to go to anything more than just a 30 second lead so they haven't got
29:39time to get into formation or anything like that the two toyotas should they make it
29:44the six car probably can back off and back off and back off and fall into the clutches of the five car
29:51but it's as you say the five cars going to have to be on it at the moment still all the way
30:02louise is down how do you go we could see you in the background louise checking that out
30:06as you say the tires are quite uh quite all going on you said yeah you said going on the car
30:12for whatever reason
30:16maybe the budget cuts i guess maybe they're thinking there's no point
30:21putting a new set on now we'll just save a bit of budget
30:40there's not many better places to go motor racing in the world is there you just look at all the people
30:45the grandstands starting to fill back up now people filtering back in to get a view of and as
30:52as uh my weather app predicted after that initial rainfall the heavy rainfall and you know the delayed
31:00sort of safety car start um we haven't had any more and considering the amount of rain that's fallen
31:06this week since we got here that's been quite a good thing and it's helped dry everyone out a bit and bring
31:11uh people's uh minds up a bit and make them feel a bit better because it's there's nothing worth
31:18worse than getting soaked for 24 hours yeah it didn't look very promising
31:26okay and uh the 31 car coming back out being in the uh that's a paul mitchell car isn't it yeah
31:33been in the pitch for a while the 30 car actually just coming past us as well two cars in that team
31:38right here's the number two car in for a little pit stop checking it over cleaning everything fueling
31:46it we've got we've got people listening in jamaica now watching listening not really sure if they're
31:52listening but uh sisu shifter cart uh he's listening greetings from jamaica so uh people far and wide
32:04i know there's people in the formula one media center listening as well
32:13so the two car is back on the road we are 90 minutes away from the end of the race
32:22i'm just checking a little fact here that's okay before i uh is it how many little orange cones are on
32:28the exit of the pitlane because there's an awful lot of them i didn't really notice them in the night
32:32so nakajima in the five toyota obviously still in the lead there it is followed by the number two
32:40Porsche which is just now heading out of the pits and on an out lap then it is stefan sarrazan
32:46with a slightly wounded toyota the 12 rebellion coming in they've got that sorted and
32:52fixed mark webber in the number one Porsche 15th place overall now not where they want to be but when
32:59they were 47 or something last night uh it's a whole lot better than that the battle at the front
33:07of the p2s is still the 36 followed by the 26 it's two minutes 14 between them you remember uh the 36 car
33:15came in for a full service which is why the gaps dropped basically just over a minute uh it's now
33:232 14 rather than one lap
33:25yeah the fact i was checking out was um i seem to remember uh extreme speed um with a different
33:37sponsor the tequila sponsor rather than the paul mitchell sponsor winning daytona 24 hours this year and
33:43sebring and sebring and i'm just checking is that really the case and it seems so yes what car are you
33:49looking at because i might have that in my little book at 31 well durani
33:56yes was one of the drivers yep he won the 20 and uh scott sharp so it was a combination of the two
34:03the 30 and the 31 car because i remember uh ryan dl drove for um leader on florida leader on pit road
34:11so yeah i'm just just thinking you know they've won two of the big races sports car races this year
34:17in america 24 hour and 12 hour and uh yeah i'm kind of surprised they're not somewhere a bit further
34:24up than they are they've obviously had their issues but they've they don't seem to have been on the the
34:29pace all week it's always been the lepr lepr car the alpine orica of rushinov the petrov car
34:37there the cars have been setting the pace and um yeah the the 30 and the 31 leisure just
34:44haven't really been on the pace here um so yeah just just an interesting thing they you know they've
34:50completed two big 24-hour wins and i'm sure they came here thinking right let's do the treble
34:56but uh not to be fuel only for the five cars so the same strategy so to speak as the two
35:03porsche that was in just a lap before so they're pitting one lap apart of those two cars
35:14there is that two car
35:22incredible grip and downforce through the porsche curves from these top p1 cars the five car back
35:29on track and out underneath the dunlop bridge
35:35lead intact he has a gt pro car to negotiate he'll do that as they exit onto the mulsanne straight
35:44neil yanni riding the curve whacking everything still pushing he was told not so long ago keep the
35:50pressure on anybody can make a mistake yep they certainly can't them at any time
36:07yep oh the 28 car in the gravel so the woes continue i'm sure they'll be able to get it out i still think
36:16they'll make the end and it's touching her again in fact um we heard the correct pronunciation of her
36:23name earlier on from anthony and i didn't quite get it she just lost on the brakes went in a bit too hot
36:31no harm done i don't think though i think she should well they'll pull her out of there
36:35and uh that'll cause a yellow flag zone obviously yeah but they need to get the tractor to that get her
36:42over to the hard ground and she could probably get back to the pits have a quick clean out of the car
36:47and get back on the road bearing in mind that car's just been through the pits for a drive-through
36:53penalty as well so she's yeah it's to be fair it's in the amount of problems that car's had uh be it
37:02free practice qualifying the race it's been in the wall it's been in the tyres it's been in the gravel
37:07oh it's several times it's amazing how many times has it actually been off the trial yeah
37:12it's amazing yeah how have they not hit something harder the amount of times they've been off the
37:17road it's a fair play to them they keep having a little misdemeanors and a little problem you know
37:22i think with every one of these little issues it makes them even more adamant that they are going
37:26to get to the end and that's that's it that'd be a brilliant achievement for them really would
37:34so yeah nothing changing down in the pro and the arm class at the moment
37:39miller fizikella dixon all holding holding station fizikella now in the pits for a scheduled stop
37:49and seagal heinemeyer hansen and collard in the arm class rob bell there in fourth place 82 car on pit
38:00road i i would i would uh think that rob bell has done lots 12 hours of this race i i think he's
38:11probably driven for about 12 hours in this race he's uh it's been a he's out his money this weekend
38:20yeah it's been a sterling effort
38:3133 car in behind them
38:33this is the leader in the gt pro country the car that's in the pits that we were just looking at
38:43fisikella is trying to catch this car slow zone uh zone 18 19 20 that'll be at the end of the mulsanne
38:52straight you know what what i i might be wrong but and maybe the sound is wrong but it did look like
39:00he didn't slow down in time and look at his speed 39 kilometers an hour
39:08okay i mean he was very very slow though there wasn't he as well yeah that's that's too slow it's
39:12almost as if he's trying to make up for the fact that he came into the zone too quickly
39:17and which there was one of these and it doesn't work like that if you're speeding in the zone you're
39:21speeding in the zone um and there was one of the fords last night that was being told it was a full
39:26course yellow not a slow zone and could you speed up please i can't remember which one that was in
39:31the dead of the night there was uh one of them thought they were in a there was uh one of them in
39:37a in a what he believed was a slow zone but it wasn't uh yeah fuel on the number eight car that's
39:42lucas de grassi on his way out all right what's going on here
39:46that's going to be a brave move this is going to be a brave move oh yeah
39:5778 portion i'm not going to go through there right so no yeah oh who was that that was uh scott
40:04dixon again he's pushing to the limit maybe we should have just held back for a second there and
40:10got through clean but yeah no harm done yeah but he's probably trying to put fisichella under some
40:17pressure isn't he's 24 seconds behind fisichella so so if in um well it takes a while for it to come
40:25through but if in 20 to 30 minutes we see a ford having been speeding in a yellow zone then we know what
40:34well i think i know what it was that's it but i'm i'm i'm constantly mistaken so yeah well that's
40:42it give me the benefit of the doubt give me the benefit of the doubt but also obviously whether we
40:47joined it the picture didn't sync quite up with the audio i'm not sure and that's not christian by
40:53anyone but potentially that could have been the case and for for ford's sake they will be hoping that
41:00was the case this is stefan sarrazan again not using anywhere near the curb that he was using
41:06before so we're in the slow zone now 79 kilometers an hour and we know the ford was doing 38 or
41:16something like that so he was doing half the speed that he should have been doing i'm convinced he went
41:21in too quick and tried to balance it out by driving slower afterwards and hoping that the authorities
41:29will say yeah fair enough you missed the start of it and you slowed down and even the speed out so
41:35fair enough you can you can we can let you pass so one and two running together
41:42now if you're wondering how they're so precise at keeping the same speed in a slow zone they have a
41:48button on the steering wheel and if you look at my tweet from those cars you can pick that button
41:54can you can you see that button i'm gonna now look for that button it will say pit pit limiter or
41:59it is right let's have a look let's have a look peter's tweet uh we've got lots of stuff pit yeah
42:08it's the bottom left button right and and the other thing is they'll know the car will know depending on
42:14what gear you're in so and in that 80 zone um oh they're rubbing something that's body work on that
42:23car but hang on i'm just looking the poor steering wheel has a full course yellow button as well as a
42:29pit button oh they of course they do they've got a full course yellow yeah this is this is uh tattinger
42:34yeah she's uh got a puncture yeah she's pulled it was why it went so quickly possibly possibly yep so
42:41let's not blame her if that's the case
42:46but it's a long way back she's got to cruise back and it's gradually going to rip that tire apart and
42:51potentially damage the body work of the car you see it there you know the more you run that tire the
42:58more the chance the carcass will just completely rip itself off the wheel look at it race leader nakajima
43:13still decent advantage got a bit of traffic ahead it's going to take it easy he's got yeah i mean
43:18he can blast by this guy in the straight it's best not to try and dive bomb him into the corners but he's
43:23got four cars in front of them and two of them that are fighting uh each other so he should be able
43:30to get all four of them down this straight the one car's into the pits when we know the two cars running
43:36right but beside it so that's neil jani's just crossed the line 32 seconds behind nakajima
43:42very similar lap times because of the yellow flags
43:48tear off being pulled off on the windscreen of the number one car
43:52yeah and nakajima stuck in that traffic so that uh that gap probably will come down quite a bit
43:56on this lap but then neil jani has got to negotiate that mark looking tired there blinking hard um
44:03frustration as well for him you know he's he's come here after a hard looking around for some health
44:09a hard start to the year of a lot of testing getting this car ready oh he's going in the garage
44:16yeah and even more frustration because he's been pushed back again but you know
44:19oh man you know in the end they're down in 15th place overall really struggling getting this car
44:25back with that puncture she's trying to be as careful as she can but really yeah but she's come to a
44:29halt hasn't she virtually yeah and she's not even at indianapolis yet which means that she's kind of just
44:38past the halfway point let's see what happens when you drive too slow uh but isn't that rubber that's
44:54that's now no that's that's the engine yeah but isn't that rubber catching or something it's now
44:58properly on fire it's huge disappointment for this crew because as we touched on just before
45:03they have been through so much and to get within an hour it needs to get around the back come on yeah
45:09yeah look at the flames around the back don't be they can't get the five signature to work it did
45:12work to start with she's wanting another one we need more help there come on then they're wanting
45:18another one but uh but what was causing that because this the big smoke's now coming out from the other
45:29side from where that smoke is so that that's her just pulling away from mulsanne that's early
45:37that's that's odd because uh you know when she got beached herself in the gravel there was no smoke
45:43there's no nothing and they've obviously pulled her out they haven't ripped an oil pipe off or
45:48something when pulling her out have they i don't know that's really weird but yeah that looks now
45:52terminal i don't think she's going to get back now that's game over with one hour and 16 to go
45:58after all that drama and the best thing now is that it can get that fire out there's another
46:02marshal in amongst the smoke with the fire yeah she stood there kind of she's been told to get over
46:07the other side of the wall but she's kind of stood there shrugging her shoulders initially because
46:13yeah right yeah we don't we don't know the reason for that or why it's happened
46:20it looks like it's under control now though that's the main thing and the car is in one piece well
46:25she's in one piece and the car is a huge disappointment with so little time to go
46:34but yeah clearly a puncture on the car uh she went straight in so it's you know normally when you go
46:40in at an angle and you slide that's when you could potentially give yourself a puncture uh
46:48but yeah straight in meaning that perhaps you had that puncture as she went in anyway
46:53because the car just suddenly snapped on her okay there is going to be a slow zone in and around
46:58where that 28 car is so now we've seen drivers they they work on the cars and everything like that
47:07um whether they'll get a mechanic out to to that area to kind of advise her and ask her to look at
47:12it and see what they can do to try and get that car back to the pits
47:14so they they can at least try and do a bit of a repair job to complete the final lap
47:20so this car is coming down to mozza now soon going to get into that yellow flag zone
47:31you should see the first one around a couple of corners here
47:34little little kink here flat out through here right got the flag ahead
47:45but again really slow 40 kilometers have they got their full course yellow button set
47:50at the wrong speed because he's doing 40 k's an hour now
47:53this car's going to be pushed well it's being pushed against the wall
48:02now thankfully at least they've got the fire out and uh it's not going to cost them an absolute
48:06fortune having to replace the car there was a lot of smoke just as she after she'd spun but oh yeah
48:13we're looking at this car's been off of you this could this could take us to the end of the race this
48:18could take us off in the same corner several times like these are all different incidents with the same car
48:24so yeah well i'm counting five in the same corner and this was the last one and it's had other
48:37incidents in other corners we know it's spun up at dunlop as well yeah and that's just the race
48:44ah she's gutted isn't she carving push she's just standing there it's a long way for her to get back as well
48:54uh there is a safety vehicle turning up that might give her a lift
49:05they're now looking for a hole in the arm code to put that in
49:09yeah as i was kind of talking about the the slower you run because a uh a race car doesn't run the same
49:15as a road car it's got no cooling mechanism so if it's air cooled essentially so if you if you run it
49:22slowly then then uh what happens is it gradually overheats so you need to run it faster to to uh help to cool it
49:33so uh louise is going to wander down the pit lane and find out some information on what's going on
49:44so yeah big disappointment and that does look like it's out and look like that's going any further now
49:51so we're looking at the race leader nakajima here an hour and 12 to go gradually ticking those minutes down
50:01nervous times and the toyota picked they still haven't done it here they still haven't won and this
50:06is going to be their closest one so far whether they win it or not is is yeah it's the biggest attempt
50:14as we talked about they've spent a lot of time testing but then the dirk muller car in the pits now
50:20leader of uh gt pro class got all the dirt on it and everything it's got another tear off off the
50:26screen nice clean windscreen now
50:31this this car uh kind of run by chip ganassi and in america but run here in europe uh and for weck
50:40by george howard chappell who's the ex-boss of uh pro drive aston martin racing
50:46so a lot of experience a lot of wins here with aston in the past so he knows his stuff
50:53and potentially another win coming to ford the car we're looking at there's the 82 car for tony
51:00uh tony for land now uh sorry john philip can kind of visit keller in it at the moment scott
51:05dixon now only 21 seconds away from them nibbled that down a little it was 27 28 a few laps ago so
51:11yeah he's he is lapping he's lapping a bit quicker okay we've got louise in the pits let's cross to her
51:20yeah i've just come to see the 55 in the garage um as matt was saying there's been issues uh
51:25throughout really or halfway through the race yeah i mean we we had a really good run for the first half of
51:31the race and and then we had a slight issue with it with the exhaust um that we had a problem with
51:36it so the team kind of did a patchwork job and we lost about 12 minutes and then i went out after
51:41and it's actually a quadruple stint um and we were really fast we kind of got back into it uh but then
51:46the problem reoccurs and the issue with it is is it to run the car like that there's always a risk of
51:52fire with the particular problem we have so they tried to fix it again but we ended up losing so much
51:58time that uh they boxed it did a did a more kind of a long-term fix on us duncan went out and he did
52:05his minimum driving time and then we'll take it out at the end to to cross the flag so it's a
52:09disappointing result for the 55 um we're really quick i think i set the fastest lap so if no one
52:16goes quicker without the fast slap so at least we'll have something to uh to have a beer to tonight
52:20you can walk away with that yeah exactly it's something that cheers uh a bottle of beer with
52:24tonight i think so uh and we'll come back next year thank you thanks thanks for that louise
52:30now what were you saying only about an hour and a half ago about if you can't like win your category
52:34or put some of them take your fastest lap home with you you're you're clutching at anything you can get
52:39and um you know yeah the thought of having a beer and leaving here with the fastest lap in your class
52:47well it's something to talk about it's it's an achievement and you know there's a lot of drivers out there
52:52uh if i was to just quickly count up so one two um 180 started the race while uh peter counts up to 11
53:0411 cars 11 times three drivers so 33 drivers and you're the fastest one of those 33 drivers so it's an
53:11an achievement that's it 180 drivers in the race at the start of it 22 hours 50 minutes ago if i'm right
53:21when i'm saying that or something but uh it's um 60 cars if i go down my list let's just have a look at
53:29the remote control and see we've got uh one two three four
53:42five six seven eight nine ten eleven i think i've counted there 11 cars out of the race which uh
53:50you think 60 started they've been going for near enough 23 hours so uh that's a pretty impressive
53:57reliability form when you think of what the dramas that a lot of these cars have unfortunately
54:04for the 28 car they have worked tirelessly hard like all of the teams and uh they've they've been
54:13in and out of the gravel they've spun around they've touched this they've hit that and unfortunately it's
54:19uh something that's happened after they've gone off as a car was seen find in there we've got
54:26andy prio and actually we've heard from andy prio we've never seen him in a race car this weekend
54:30but uh andy is with uh louise andy the 67 has had the bad luck from the very beginning of this race
54:39as you say the other cars are doing okay but one of you was going to get it and you've got it all
54:44we've had all of our seasons bad luck in one race i think um you know we had a great start the car's
54:49been really reliable for the first two of eight races and you know a little part in the gearbox and
54:56that's the race over before it begun really hard on the team because they've worked for
55:02you know well six months to get the cars to this stage it's been relentless and they've worked really
55:09hard all week so um you know it's tough on the team these guys here have had a hell of a hell of a day
55:15but they're a great team and they're really you know real good guys and they've worked so hard the
55:20car's going to finish um you know we've got a one three up there and uh ford are you know yeah doing
55:27good thank you yeah cheers he stopped himself short there yeah ford are up there doing good yeah they
55:36are doing good as andy says they are doing very good um yeah he doesn't want to tempt fate either you
55:42know just seeing a tweet from rebellion the number 12 cars back in the race after an injector change
55:49i think we're looking down on it there as well so uh that's a team that we were kind of outside
55:55betting of being on the podium place i think they've missed so much time though that they wouldn't
56:01actually be classified you know you have to do 75 distance or of the of the leading car i don't even
56:08know where they are let's just go down to page two for the 32nd
56:17the 30 seconds uh yeah yeah oh well marcel faster is uh in yeah but they've only done 311 laps
56:26compared to actually no that's not too bad that's not of course they will finish
56:30i thought they were in a lot you know that a lot worse than that they must have pulled the car back out
56:34when we uh went off air and we just yeah how we should pay them more attention i haven't been uh
56:41concentrating too much on that lower page on the monitor the the second and third pages on the
56:48monitor apart from the amateur category which doesn't quite fit on there is people who have had issues and
56:55struggle but the am category isn't amongst there as well as in instant and you're walking back she will be
57:00gutted yeah tired and gutted yeah very it's an emotional ride with only yeah just over an hour
57:11to go now she just wants to get back into into the pits and yeah she's angry she's frustrated fed up
57:18tired ah and now you start to think about all that work don't you so uh potentially a bit grumpy as
57:25well just because of the frustration of it all you know everyone everyone approaches this race in a
57:30different way and the number one thing is a to get to the end and then you've got the front running cars
57:36who are fighting for podiums and wins i think that car had no ambitions as such to be on the podium they
57:43just didn't have the pace but their ambition was to finish to finish yeah and it's even more frustrating
57:50for the person who basically bins it uh yeah yeah i mean again we can't we we don't know whether
57:58yeah she did she has made mistakes and she's gone off on her own um but uh on this occasion it could
58:04be that she did have a blowout and and that that's just unlucky and um so i think louise is gonna go and
58:12ask the team what what the situation is so looking at the 84 car still running
58:34just confirmation from philip pond who's uh always on twitter he's oh we've got we've got philip along
58:40with us uh just confirming that people do people darani the esm driver was a one of the drivers to
58:47win in daytona and in sebring uh but sadly for them again i i did i did uh have a look at him
