00:00Interesting stuff over the weekend with the Vrabel-Rossini story, which has kind of come to a slow kind of
00:07ending right now,
00:08but picked up a little bit over the weekend when Mike Vrabel, who talks tough game, right?
00:13I'm a big tough guy, Mike Vrabel, right?
00:15You know, I'll cut off my, his words, not mine, half my penis for a Super Bowl championship,
00:20and he claimed he's still had enough left for her.
00:23I thought he was talking about his wife.
00:24Maybe he's talking about other gals.
00:25I don't know.
00:26I don't think he's talking about his wife.
00:27But there's the Patriots had, or I think having, or just had their pre-draft press conference.
00:33Every team does it.
00:34It's usually the general manager and the head coach.
00:36They meet with the local media, and they talk about, you know, their plans for the draft.
00:40They never really tell you anything other than, you know, best player available.
00:43We got a lot of holes to fill, that kind of stuff.
00:45But how about the big coward, Mike Vrabel, not showing up for it?
00:50Because Mike Vrabel knows the first time he comes in front of a microphone,
00:55they're not going to be asking him about football.
00:58They're going to be asking him about Diana Rossini.
01:00Now, she at least put one tweet out at 6.30 in the morning a couple days after the scandal
01:05hit the newspaper.
01:07And obviously, that was a trial balloon at 6.30 in the morning before Twitter wakes up.
01:12And it didn't go so well.
01:14No.
01:14She got like 1,000 replies asking her about, you know, all sexual stuff, right?
01:19Mm-hmm.
01:19But if Mike Vrabel came out when the story first hit, and I wrote it down, and he said it's
01:26completely laughable, right?
01:29Mm-hmm.
01:30That anybody would think there was something going toward going on.
01:33Well, if that's the case, and you did nothing wrong, then why aren't you appearing?
01:39I think it's today they're telling me?
01:412 o'clock today.
01:422 o'clock today at today's pre-draft press conference.
01:46Yeah.
01:46Right?
01:47Because you said, not us, it's laughable that anybody would think there was something wrong about those pictures.
01:53So, you know, if you want to be a tough guy, then be a tough guy.
01:56I agree.
01:57But by not showing up, all you're doing is admitting to us that it was untoward, that there was something
02:05going on between you two.
02:07Like, you can't have it both ways.
02:09Like, the immediate denial was that we're in the wrong for even mentioning it.
02:14How dare we suggest that there was something going on between the two of them at that romantic hotel?
02:19All right, then be a tough guy.
02:21Right?
02:21Stand up for yourself.
02:23Stand up for your wife and your family, who should know that their father and husband was doing nothing wrong.
02:28But as soon as you have an opportunity to meet the media, and you decide to duck that opportunity, you're
02:37ducking it because you're guilty.
02:38You're not ducking it because you want to make a stand, because that's the place to make the stand.
02:44I'll tell you guys again, and then I'm not talking about it anymore.
02:48We are friends.
02:50We are nothing more than friends.
02:52And we were enjoying an afternoon before the owners' meetings in Arizona.
02:57Period.
02:58Stop.
02:58But as soon as you no-show it, sorry not sorry.
03:02Now, The Athletic even retract, although not in paper, in writing, their initial support of her when the editor or
03:12her editor came out and said the same kind of stuff that Vrabel said.
03:15Yep.
03:16And here's the problem with that, which we didn't know at the time.
03:19When the editor of The Athletic publicly supported Diana Rossini, he did it while they were doing an internal investigation.
03:28But nobody knew that there was an investigation, because the editor just came out and said, she's the best insider
03:34there is, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
03:36And there's no truth to this story at all.
03:38There were other people with him in plain sight.
03:40Of course, those other people never materialized.
03:43There's no photographs of them.
03:45None of them have ever stepped forward and said, I was with them.
03:47You guys have the story all wrong.
03:49And now The Athletic has suspended her.
03:52So interesting that she gets suspended.
03:56Vrabel no-shows, or is planning on no-showing a press conference today at 2 o'clock.
04:02There'll be no punishment to him, other than the way people view him as a cheater, alleged cheater.
04:09Maybe a divorce.
04:10Maybe he gets divorced.
04:11Maybe he's estranged from his wife.
04:13On and on and on.
04:14And Diana Rossini probably can't return to The Athletic.
04:18And while she may be well thought of and valued in some other media circles, I would guess that her
04:26days as an NFL insider are probably over.
